'It's clear the owners are refurbishing this motel right off I-91 in Putney, VT. The bathrooms are freshly tiles, wooden floors replace wall to wall carpet, new lighting and thermo pane sliding doors. If you need a bed on a long drive, support these folks. Putney Food Coop is just up the road for great coffee and a wide choice of food.'

'The construction right below our room until after 9:30pm was aweful. I'm surprised we weren't at least placed in a room further from the construction. Hot tub was brown, not at all like the photos. The room was clean so that met expectations.'

It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works.
