Oak Leaf Lodge at Graylag Cabins

Laat het dagelijkse leven achter - bezoek Graylag om te ontspannen in een comfortabele, rustieke omgeving met familie en vrienden. Onze 4 huisjes in familie-stijl delen het meer, zodat u kunt genieten van zwemmen, vissen, zeilen en varen, of de kilometerslange paden in ons 300 hectare grote bosreservaat kunt verkennen. Breng de avonden door met koken boven het vuur en het roosteren van marshmallows terwijl u luistert naar de roep van uilen en loons.

Graylag is perfect voor familiebijeenkomsten en groepsretraites. U kunt een hut of het gehele pand huren.

Oak Leaf Lodge is een huis met 2 comfortabele kamers op de bovenverdieping met queensize bedden en een grote kelder 'stapelbed kamer' met 2 aparte bedden en een stapelbedden. Het hoogste niveau beschikt over een grote open lay-out eetkamer en woonkamer met gashaard, keuken, bad en een gezellige leeshoek. Er is een zeer groot terras met uitzicht op het bos en nog een buitenlounge met stoelen en een hangmat naast de kelder. Oak Leaf Lodge is het hele jaar door beschikbaar. De volledig uitgeruste keuken is voorzien van een magnetron, een koffiezetapparaat en servies. Er is een houtskoolgrill buiten. Beddengoed, handdoeken, zeep en shampoo zijn aanwezig.

Gasten van de Oak Leaf Lodge kunnen genieten van het volledige gebruik van de Graylag-accommodatie, waaronder kilometerslange wandelroutes door de achterdeur, het strand aan het meer en de vuurkorf, evenals gebruik van de kajaks, kano's, paddle-planken en zeilboot. De Lodge ligt op ongeveer 1 km van het meer bij de ingang van de Graylag-accommodatie.

The cabin is located in a beautiful nature preserve. The staff were very responsive and even came on Christmas Eve to help us with the fireplace. We wish we had more time to explore and would love to stay in the summer.

Nice house

It was a very nice property. The only complaint would be the basement that did have a bedroom was very musty smelling. I know that is to be expected since it's a basement but I didn't think a bedroom was in the basement. Those that slept there were very congested and coughing and sneezing the whole time.

Mother and daughters getaway

We chose this cabin because of the light coming from all the windows and the skylight. It felt like being in a treehouse looking out at all the green trees around us. The downstairs room with four beds would be great for a family with kids but we chose to enjoy the two upstairs rooms. The stairs are a little steep but my 88-year-old mother made it up and down just fine. The cabin is a half mile from the lake so sometimes we chose to drive instead of walking down to the lake. There is whimsical art along the road and the trails which just make you smile. We took a canoe and paddled to the marsh and listened to a loud chorus of frogs and watched some loons. If the weather was warmer we would have tried out some of the other watercraft that's available. We lucked out and got to go on a nature walk with a scientist to some vernal pools. I wish I had had a place like this to go to when my kids lived at home. Even though we are older, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The whole package

This property was above my expectations. It was in a beautiful location with plenty of space inside and out. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and eating space were amenable, and we appreciated all the bedrooms and bathrooms! The hosts were communicative and made it clear they were there to help as needed, but we also had plenty of privacy. Totally worth all five stars!

Peaceful

If you are looking for a calm and peaceful experience, this is the place. The hosts go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The house is spacious and so charming. The grounds are lush with plants and wildlife. The grounds are filled with nature inspired art pieces. There is a surprise around every corner. Beautiful lake for fishing, swimming or sitting by a fire, within walking distance. Nature lovers will not be disappointed.

Loved our stay!

What a wonderful surprise we had when we first drove to Graylag and walked in the house. This is a truly unique, quaint and beautiful place. The house was spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. It had everything we needed. The grounds were well ….spectacular! We took walks on the paths, hunted for blueberries, soaked in the amazing views and played in the water. The porches put you right in the middle of the forest and it’s both peaceful and beautiful! We really loved this place and have plans to come back soon. With the large picture window I can only imagine how vivid the colors must be!!

Peaceful retreat

This is the second stay at oak leaf lodge. We were pleasantly surprised with the updates done since our last stay. The property is clean and fully stocked with necessities. The three sleeping areas and two bathrooms made it very comfortable for our crew. The spacious deck has great seating area to relax and take in the surrounding nature. Definitely a place we will return to in the future.

Nothing short of amazing!

We had an amazing long weekend staying at Graylag with extended family. The Oak Leaf lodge had plenty of space for all seven of us and the property was clean and supplied with everything you could possibly need. Our kids age ranged from 2-12 and they all had a blast fishing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming. We’re looking forward to booking our next stay!

Great quite lodge in the woods

Lodge was cozy and great, management was super helpful and attentive, and location was secluded but easy to access! Kitchen was absolutely acceptable but somewhat less than fully stocked for cooking in. (I’m sure if we asked, Anne would have provided whatever we needed). Great place to stay!
