'Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at.
Food at breakfast was very nice 👍'

'One of the best properties we’ve stayed in! We had a great time - the rooms are stunning, there is so much to do around the property and yet, it was peaceful and intimate at the same time. Highly recommend having all your meals there - the food and staff were a big highlight of our stay. We will definitely be back!'

'The property doesn't have its own parking. There is free parking available on the street parallel to the entrance but this wasn't clear from the description.
I appreciated the keyless nature of the accommodation. The gate lock can be a bit tricky to open.
The room was clean and the bathroom was fantastic.
They provide some food in the small lounge but I couldn't see anything gluten free.'

'Room and bed comfortable, walk in shower, table top ironing board and iron were very useful prior to a family wedding.
Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts.
Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners.
Beautfiul location.
Lovely Japanese meditation garden next to the bagel cafe, was...

What truly stood out was the hospitality: our hosts were amazingly friendly and full of engaging stories and helpful local insights. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious both mornings. An ideal pied-à-terre for a Devon getaway—thank you so much!'
