'My husband and I stayed at the Posada del Mar for 4 nights. It is a 7-10 minute walk from the ferry terminal, close to the supermarket and tonnes of restaurants, travel companies and shopping. The breakfast is great if you decide to take advantage of it. There is coffee and tea all day as well as water to drink. 'I am a middle aged woman travelling solo. The room was perfect and secure. The pool is not designed for lounging in the sun, but great for a dip. Tortuga Bay is about a 45 minute walk on a well maintained path. When you get to the beach, go to he right and walk to the end where you’ll find a path through the mangrove and opens up to a calm pool like swimming area with shade trees and great snorkelling. Very safe to venture out anytime to explore the town, enjoy some wine and walk home. '

Staat is uitstekend, alleen is er nog geen ontbijt bij het hotel mogelijk (wordt nog verbouwd) maar het ontbijt wordt aangeboden bij een hostel vlakbij (kwaliteit van ontbijt is beperkt). Personeel is jong en vriendelijk. Zwembad en jacuzzi zijn fijn, maar het zwembad is niet verwarmd (en dus fris). Maken een gezellig kampvuur als je daarom vraagt en kunnen ook diner opties organiseren voor in het hotel. Wij hebben heel er genoten van ons verblijf. '

'Super clean. Nicely decorated, loved the floors and tiles. Bedroom was spacious although there was a king and a full. The owner was nice and helpful, offered packed breakfast early one day we had a super early tour. There was an issue with our boat to change island so we couldn't leave and he immediately allowed us to stay in our room untill everything was solved, well after checkout time, and accommodated us in the same room for a final extra night.'

'We went during a week when tourism was slow and the hotel still was amazing with custom breakfast to make sure it fit our tour schedules. The cook came in at 6:30 am twice during the week just for us. Hotel was clean, safe and they did everything needed to ensure stay is good. Pool was nice as well on top. Rooms comfortable for family and groups even. Not by the port or Charles Darwin Ave but also close, walk was 10 minutes to beat food street and tourist area or taxi $1.50 which is easy to get....
