Amazing property - perfect for family vacation.
This house was perfect for our family of six - holiday vacation. The location is private at end of a short street. Right on the beach yet felt safe and secure since the outside patio is walled off from direct access to the beach. Still very easy to walk around to the path down to the beach but you have privacy and no worry of beach goers coming up on your property. Very close walking distance to 5th Ave. can get to Starbucks and bakery in the morning. We did not need to rent a car. The host, Martina, was extremely helpful in connecting us to arrange private day tours and transportation. We had option to hire private chef but it is so easy to order grocery delivery and the kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals yourself. Kids ages 14-22 enjoyed the short walk to town and loved going on their own adventures. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Beach was perfect, no bugs, clear water, no seaweed at all! House has plenty of space and was very clean and well cared for. Thank you Martina!

Playa Amazing
I recently stayed here with my wife and four kids - ages 3, 5, 11 and 12. First, the pictures don’t really tell the whole story - the house is amazing and very spacious. Martina is an extraordinary hostess. We locked ourselves out and she was at the property in 10 minutes. She responded to even the most minor of details / request. Housekeeping was great. Location is perfect - walkable to Fifth avenue, beautiful beach and pool. We were able to leave our kids to walk to dinner - it’s very safe and secure, good neighborhood. We had a blast - will definitely repeat. The seaweed situation was not bad either. For whatever reason, the beach in front of home was relatively clear most days. Great time.

The property was as listed. Martina was fabulous to work with back-and-forth as needed. The kids loved being so close to the ocean and I love that there was still a wall that we could look over at the ocean and then walk around the house to get to it. Amazing Beach House
The beach house was beautiful! It was spacious, clean and close to the restaurants, bars, and entertainment located at Quinta Avenida. It was about a 10 -15 minute walk to Parque los fundadores. The host was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend!

Great villa in a great location
This clean and well maintained in a gated community villa is right on the beach, and less than a 10 minute walk to nearby 5th avenue which is full of every kind of shop and restaurant/bar. The manager, Martina, was very pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable about the area, and very helpful with requests. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place and location. No direct access to beach, short walk around neighbors house. Not much of a beach, hardly any sand and they have a HUGE seaweed problem. It's everywhere. It's ugly and stinks. Only issue with the house itself is no means to make ice. Arrived to one empty 6 cube ice tray in freezer, no ice machine. After traveling all day, had to walk 10 mins and carry ice back to have a drink. To me, a place like this should have a means to make ice, a $50 a night motel has an ice machine. That all said, it is a nice spot and we did have a great time.

Oceanfront Paradise
The home is absolutely stunning. There are ocean views from almost every room. The house is literally on the beach. The beach is active and fun, but not overcrowded. It's a short enjoyable walk to the downtown area. We stayed with young kids (1 and 4) and had a blast. Martina is extremely helpful and professional. This is a very high quality home and well stocked. We would love to stay here again!

My husband booked this villa for my birthday with our closest friends and family. The host Martina made this an unbelievable experience. Extremely responsive to all of my questions. She’s was a pleasure to work with. Oura who was our housekeeper was amazing. Every single day she made the villa beautiful and clean for us and went above and beyond with anything we needed. This house is well taken care of.

Location and absolutely lovely place!
Absolutely lovely place! The main living area has beautiful views of the beach, Caribbean waters and pool. The kitchen has everything we need to cook. They creatively hooked up the ice maker to filtered water so the ice is safe to use. The washing machine and dryer are locked up in a storage room off the kitchen so we didn’t have access to do our own laundry. I thought this would be a problem for us but a sweet, accommodating cleaning lady came every day at a time convenient for us and did our laundry as well as make the beds, clean the floors, etc. I’ve never had cleaning service before and thought it would interrupt our family’s flow and time together but it was in fact, wonderful and freeing! We will be back to rent this house!

La casa es fantastatica,muy bien conservada,limpia,en primera linea de playa y muy cerca del centro. Aspectos a mejorar; -No hay acceso a la zona de lavanderia,por lo que no disponemos de escoba ni fregona para, limpiar cualquier cosa que se pueda caer. -Checkaut es a las 11.00 y sin embargo empiezan las labores de limpieza a las 10 A nivel personal,nuestro vuelo no salia hasta la noche y tuvimos que apañarnoslas con las maletas.Se que no es un problema de los propietarios de la casa ,pero no tuvimos ninguna ayuda ni empatia por parte de los propietrarios.Creo que siendo una villa de lujo,estos servicios tambien deberian de facilitarse.

Gorgeous house
The house is stunning and looks exactly like the pictures. The neighborhood was also beautiful and very secure. It was a short walk to town with tons of shopping and restaurants and bars to choose from. The ferry to Cozumel was a short 5 minute walk down the beach so it was very convenient. The address to the property was very confusing so be sure to touch base with Martina for specific directions. We were a group of 8 ladies and there was plenty of room for us and multiple options for dinning with nice indoor and outdoor tables. And special thanks to our housekeeper as she was amazing!! We would definitely stay here again.

Great place!
This house is clean and well-kept. It is a great location, walking distance to anything you need. The beach is nice and easy to access, although there was a good bit of seaweed at times. We actually rented beach chairs and umbrellas but did not need them because we were so close to the water. Sitting in the lounge chairs by the pool with the umbrellas is really like being on the beach (but cleaner!) Workers came to clear some of the seaweed away but just depends upon the ocean at the time of course. There is a lovely park with ruins around the corner where we took pictures. You can access all the shops and restaurants of 5th Avenue right at the entrance of the neighborhood. We enjoyed walking and shopping. Security in the neighborhood was good and we felt safe at all times. We had Uxata chef services every day for breakfast or brunch and some dinners. It was scrumptious and they make a generous amount of delicious food. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch or snacks besides all of the groceries they brought us. We only ate out a few times and agreed that the chefs made us better meals than anything we had at the restaurants. We had Carlos the bartender from Uxata a few days and we loved having him! We had massages at the house which were great and very convenient. The house is definitely as pictured and had the right amount of space for two families of four. We also got a catamaran one day from Riviera Elite which Martina recommended and had a great time. Thank you Martina and staff for a great place to enjoy a fabulous vacation!

Wonderful beachfront villa with a pool
We loved our stay at Playacar. The property is on a dead end street not far from the entrance of Playacar fase 1. It is a 10/15 min walk into the heart of playa del Carmen. The house is great it is well kept up and attractive. The pool is on the small side, but is perfectly suitable for beating the heat on a hot day. The 4 bed rooms all feature en suite bathrooms. They are equally sized which makes it easy to divy up if staying with a group. The house is located on the beach with a six foot high wall/deck separating it from the sand. The beach is nice. When we went it was busyish. A group or two was hanging out in the space outside our house and 5 or 6 at the public beach entrance, a house away. While it certainly isn’t private (no beach in Mexico is) it was pleasant and felt safe. To get to the beach from the house you need to walk just around the house next door. Finally Martina and all the staff of the house and additional services that were recommended were wonderful. Martina was responsive and flexible. She gave lots of great recommendations- most notably Uxata chef services (can’t recommend highly enough!!). House staff was great. They kept the place in top shape daily, always going above and beyond. We hope to come back!!

Better than advertised
First of all Villa El Dorado was much larger inside and out than the online pictures would lead you to believe. Before renting you always want to ask if the beachfront pictures are current because much of the beach on other properties has eroded. That was not the case here. We had plenty of beautiful beach to enjoy every day. The concierge Martina and her maintenance and cleaning staff were always on time, thorough, quick and professional. Martina set up some memorable dinner reservations and private excursions for us. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back to this Villa again!!!

Clean, great location and excellent property.
The Villa is beautiful, roomy, clean and comfy. We had a wonderful family trip. I would definitely come here again. The Villa location is close to Playa del Carmen. We walked to Playa del Carmen daily. The area around the Villa is secure and in a gated community. There is security guards monitoring the area at all times. Our cleaning lady did an amazing job. She came daily. Martina who is in charge of the property is amazing. She helped set up or transportation to and from the airport, to and from XPlor and our boat tour. She also set up our COVID testing for us at the villa. I would highly recommend this property and any other properties that Martina handles.

Beautiful location
We absolutely loved our time at Villa El Dorado. We were a group of two families with small children. We felt very safe and secure. The sliding glass doors were very heavy storm doors, impossible for young children to open. The location is unbeatable, literally 2 min walk from some old ruins, and 8 mins to the town through the safe and security patrolled neighborhood of Playcar. Martina is the best host in all of Mexico, helping me actually relax while on vacation. Our chef’s were amazing. We highly recommend Daveed Chef Service! Hope to be back soon!

Don't pay for Damage Protection Plan!!
Overall a good experience and worked with our group due to weather in Dallas as we lost a day and they accommodated us free of charge (an extra day). BUT DON'T add Damage Protection Plan to your trip as our Property Manager didn't work with us, TOTALLY waste of MONEY!! VRBO please call me regarding this matter. Thanks.

Incredible stay with girlfriends!
We had the best weekend in Playa Del Carmen and two of the main reasons why were 1) this amazing house and 2) Martina -- the host -- she is INCREDIBLE! She helped us organize a weekend full of 5-star activities and I'd book her home, or any of the homes she manages again in a heartbeat. The house was gorgeous, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed (including filtered water & ice), the bathrooms were clean. the beds were comfortable and the staff was extremely welcoming and kind. The house is well located in a safe neighborhood with security monitoring the beaches at night. We were able to easily walk downtown, and at the same time feel far enough away from the action that we had our own peaceful escape. Don't think twice and just book this house! Can't recommend the property enough. Thank you!

Wow Wow Wow!
You know the saying “the world is at your fingertips “…well, that’s Martina (property manager) in a nutshell. Martina was amazing! Any request we made she made happen. From groceries being at the house upon our arrival to having a hairstylist & manicurist come to Villa and pamper my 80yr old mother. Reservations at some of the best restaurants, round trip transportation, anything you could want she will make happen. Aura the house keeper was so amazing! What a gem! Made us feel like family. View was spectacular as was the Villa. Pictures don’t do it justice. Lots to do within walking distance. Shopping, restaurants, bars, ferry to Cozumel is all within walking distance. This property is worth every penny. Can’t wait to go back!

Couldn’t be more perfect.
We had a wonderful time at Villa El Dorado. Plenty of space for us, walking distance to everything in Playa, and a friendly and efficient staff. We added catering from Uxata, Chef Paula and her staff were amazing and the food (breakfast and dinner daily) was well beyond our expectations. Martina arranged in home massages which were wonderful. We were at the villa when hurricane grace came through. Martina and the staff took great care of us. We always felt safe. We would definitely return.

We could not have asked for a better stay at Villa El Dorado. The property and amenities were amazing and just as nice, if not better than the pictures. Located in a private secure community, it was quiet and serene. On top of the villa being absolutely perfect for our group of 10, Martina was out of this world helpful with arranging everything we needed. Airport transport, private chef, transport to/from restaurants and activities, private catamaran charter, in villa massages, etc. All we had to do was ask and she made it happen. We stayed at Villa El Dorado for a week and enjoyed everything about the house, especially the pool. We walked into town multiple times to visit different restaurants in town, the proximity to town was great. I would highly recommend staying at villa el dorado. The space is beautiful! Right on the beach and walking distance to downtown area. It was just enough for 9 of us! Martina was super responsive and really helped our stay be that much more welcoming and comfortable.
