1) ZONSONDERGANG EN ZEE LANI, gelegen aan de oceaanzijde van het huis, met een prachtig uitzicht over het uitgestrekte grasveld en naar de zee met waarnemingen van spuitende walvissen, speelse dolfijnen en zeeleeuwen ... samen met kustlijn, wildwater uitzicht op zoek naar het noorden naar Calafia. De kustlijn is vooral 's nachts prachtig.
2) WHALE WATCH LANDING, halverwege de trap, genesteld in de helling net boven het strand, waardoor je een perfect uitzicht hebt op de surfers, zwemmers en strandwandelaars, zonder je tenen nat te maken ..
3) SUNRISE GARDEN ROOM, gelegen aan de tuinzijde van het huis met uitzicht op de exotische en zeldzame planten en een plek om rust en sereniteit te vinden na een dag in de zon en surfen, of voor koffie in de ochtend

U kunt ook genieten van de migrerende walvissen en dolfijnen vanuit uw slaapkamer en woonkamer. We hebben een prachtige nieuwe locatie voor gezelligheid en Bar B Qing, de Tuinkamer. Het is een grote kamer, gelegen in de tuin, onder het dak, met 3 zijden open en mooie kolommen, met een fantastisch uitzicht op het landschap en de oceaan en zonsondergang. Een geweldige plek om te koken en een praatje te maken en uit de zon en de zeewind te komen

Our stay was perfect, we were attending a family wedding and the house was located 3 minutes from the venue 👍😃Also centrally located to good restaurants as well. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.

If you are looking for a beautifully relaxing, peaceful, on-the-ocean rustic getaway...this is it. Very quiet area, easy to get to, and close to wonderful restaurants: Surf, La Fonda, Puerto Nuevo, Ensenada, and the fabulous Valle de Guadalupe vineyards ( MUST go to El Cielo!) or just sit out and listen to the waves and watch the sunsets....definitly a 5 star experience.

Very comforting to know that its in a gated community. The guards were very kind & welcoming. And once inside the community it was awesome to see all the beautiful homes(and those being worked on). So needless to say, it was LOVE at first sight when we laid our eyes upon this home! The decor inside & out was Perfect!! Reminded me of my Grandparents home in Mexico. Very comforting. I love that each room had its own bathroom! The kitchen has everything you need to cook. Although, we couldn't find a cookie sheet so we bought one for the next guests to use. And the view from the home is Beautiful! We loved sitting outside just looing out to tje water watching the dolphins swim by. And it literally felt like we had the beach to ourselves considering that nobody else but us were out there fishing. Could also be since it was way colder than we expected. BUT it didnt stop us from getting out there & catching fish. Looking forward to going back & staying longer next time. We felt like we were at home.

This house is extraordinary! Upon entry, the garden is peaceful and inviting. The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The whale watch perch is the place to be for cocktails or cervezas at sunset, and the sound of the ocean is relaxing, whether outside the house or inside. The host is attentive, and stays in touch from the time of booking thru the end of your stay. We will absolutely be coming back. Can't wait!!

Beautiful custom home directly overlooking the ocean! Mary the host was incredibly helpful and generously permitted my two well behaved german shepherd dogs. The entire family enjoyed relaxing in the backyard, collecting shells along the beach during low tide, cooking a family dinner, and setting a fire during a cooler evening while watching a movie. Excellent seafood restaurant 5 minutes away called Splash. Guard gated community with very active security patrols both day a night.Truly a wonderful break.This was our first VRBO experience and will not be our last. Thank you Mary for the opportunity for my family to enjoy a piece of your heaven.

A strong odor of mold hit us when we first walked in. It took us a few hours to realize it was coming from the dishwasher. Mary, our host, was very quick to send someone over and clean it out, and while we were never able to use the dishwasher, Mary was very apologetic and accommodating. Still, two people in our party developed reactive airways that would bother them for the entire 4 days we were there. The non-master beds were not queens, they were full-size. But they were comfortable. The master has good views, but note that it does not have any privacy, since it has open (curtained) archways to the home's interior common areas and kitchen. That makes for tough sleeping. All in all, the host was kind and flexible with checkout, the home sub-par, and the ocean-front views the real highlight that brightened our spirits. Couple other notes: few decent restaurants a short drive (not walkable) 5 min south. Beach is cobblestone except at fully drained tide. The surf break looks like it would be fun and private on a W or S swell, but unfortunately was flat while we were there.

The house was wonderful! Great location in front of the ocean. The house is large, well equipped and meticulously decorated. Very quiet and peaceful area. The security is excellent. We enjoyed the large fireplace in the living room. It was terrific hearing the waves all night. Mary was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the Sandcastle. We will definitely be back again.

Such an amazing experience. When you walk in through that whale door to seeing all the greenery out front of the home to the landing spot by the ocean had us in shock. Such a beautiful home. We felt very safe and secured with the guards at the gate guarding the entrance as well. We can’t wait to come back. Three couples from church went on an adventure and had a wonderful time! Our stay was just perfect. My husband loves to cook but we are never sure if there will be sufficient kitchen ware at our disposal. The home was fully stocked with nearly anything you might need to cook a gourmet meal (he always brings his own chef knives, such a snob😉)! The gas barbeque was an older model but a little finesse and hubby was able to roast some steaks, veggies and a few chickens. There is a lovely garden and covered patio between the gated street entrance and the front door. It provided an inspirational shaded shelter for my art making! The home decor was a mix of Mexican folk artisan and comfortable furnishing with wood and Saltillo tile! The bathrooms were fully stocked with plenty of cotton Turkish towels, nice touch! The full window paneled view of the ocean was stunning! We left most of the doors open throughout our stay to hear the crashing waves. Be sure to bring mosquito repellent though, I am prone to bites so they had a feast with me. Of course, hubby went unscathed🤨! The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was new and crisp. The water pressure was great and the hot water plentiful! We enjoyed reading and journaling on the whale watching platform. There was an umbrella for protection from the sun, so many hours idled by doing this! My husband did manage to get into the ocean for a swim but the rest of us were more of the land lubber types...I will say though, although the owners rightly point out the caution needed to brave the steps to the ocean, I found them manageable and ventured down to explore. Make sure to wear water shoes though, as the large pebbled beach made beachcombing a challenge. All in all, we had a memorable stay! Last notes...don't use too much soap in the dishwasher and be careful to light the gas fireplace with a minimal amount of gas to start the flame, then increase the valve as needed...just sayin...lol

Great property in a nice and secure community. The house was super cute and bigger than I thought. We enjoyed sitting outside looking at the ocean and enjoying the sunset and the beautiful weather. It was quiet and peaceful. The community is close to shops and restaurants about a five minute drive away and 10 minutes to Puerto Nuevo for lobsters. Great time spent relaxing. Thank you, Mary for your quick responses and your accommodations.

The location was just as described on the profile. The instructions to arrive were very precise. The location was clean and the owner was very accessible. She text me after I arrived to make sure the home was in good condition as expected and if there was anything that was needed to please let her know. We would love to return to this property!
