Great cabin for skiing at Elk
We stayed over Presidents’ Day weekend. Great little place about 15 min from the mountain. The cozy fireplace room is perfect after a day of skiing. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Would be a nice place in the summer as well. Highly recommend

Father/Son vacation
Visited NE Pennsylvania to spend a few days with my son. We found this wonderful cabin in the woods that we both thoroughly enjoyed. Situated in a very secluded wooded area off a gravel road. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is in immaculate condition and well kept. It had pretty much everything we needed for our few days there. There were only the two of us but could comfortably fit a family of 5/6 (one queen bed in master, 2 twin beds in 2 bedrooms upstairs. It was fun to sit outside either in the back by the creek or in the front on the 2 chairs. Next time I visit my son I would certainly love to stay here again.

Amazing view and area
Very secluded and the trails are wow and very calm and soothing. Place is a very cabin feel with the fireplace and beds. Definitely will come back to get away from the city life.

Fabulous stay and hosts!
Beautiful cabin! Clean, well-appointed and cozy! We enjoyed skiing at Elk and dining in some wonderful restaurants in Honesdale. We had an issue with the internet when we arrived and needed some extra blankets since it was a super chilly weekend and the hosts took care of both issues almost immediately. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful home on the Creek!
We visited to attend a nearby family reunion. The home was immaculately clean and well outfitted. Just really well done and homey, inside and out. It is important to note that 2 of the 3 bedrooms are located on an upper level with both bathrooms on the ground floor. We worked with it, but if you are traveling with elderly or mobility impaired, the middle of the night stairs could be an issue. Overall, a great property with super responsive host.

Dream come true cabin!
Our family of 5 had a perfect, peaceful weekend spent at this gorgeous, immaculate cabin in the woods! It exceeded every expectation. We are already planning our next trip!!! The only thing to maybe consider (bc it didn't come up on our initial search) is that it also has A/C! We enjoyed many outside adventures but also enjoyed a family movie night in front of the glorious fire place (in August!)! Thank you for everything :)

Wonderful Getaway Spot!
This property was not only a nicely secluded mountain spot, but the cabin was beautiful and clean. It was a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities (beautiful shower, huge tv, firestick, etc.) This a perfect place to get away and recharge my batteries.

Great stay!
Loved this cabin for our weekend trip! The cabin was spacious, very clean and beautiful. It was appropriately appointed with furnishings, kitchen utensils, and towels/linens. The game room was great and entertained our kids. Outside was very peaceful with beautiful views. The host was very quick to respond when we had questions. Everything was as good or better than expected. We absolutely loved our stay, and are already talking about coming back! Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway in the Nature !!
We have been to many cabins but nothing could match this one. In midst of nature this cabin was very well equipped and the interiors have a charm of its own. We wanted to relax & be away from our busy lives and this location did that for us. The cabin was very clean and all the amenities provided are very well thought for the guest. We are definitely visiting this location again!! A Big THUMPS UP FROM US !!!

My two young daughters and I came to town to ski and were delighted by the property. Well stocked, so organized and clean. Many colorful touches that felt special and unique. Reminded us we are on vacation while also feeling right at home.

Great Cabin
This is a great cabin, in a secluded location but easy to get to and great for skiing at Elk Mountain. Cabin was clean and has a lot of character, a nice mix of old and new. Modern conveniences, great kitchen, and fireplaces add to the venue. It was a very cold weekend and we were cozy and comfortable. Owner is very responsive if you have any questions.

wonderful house in the woods
We greatly enjoyed our time at this beautiful cottage in the woods. The house was extremely clean with a well equipped kitchen, inviting gas fireplace, excellent wifi and screens, and plenty of charm. The perfect mix of old fashioned cabin and up-to-date amenities. The owner was very responsive as we tried to figure out how to heat the back of the house on this extraordinarily cold weekend. Definitely pay attention to the guest book suggestion to bring warm slippers. 20 minute drive to Elk Mountain for great skiing, this was the perfect place for apre ski.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway
What a great place! Cozy and comfortable. We’re a three-person family so we didn’t need a “sleeps 16” kind of house. This was the perfect amount of space for a long Thanksgiving weekend getaway. We had a great time tromping through the woods, playing Monopoly, sitting in front of the fireplaces, and cooking Thanksgiving dinner - if you’re a cook, this house has everything you need, including multiple casserole dishes, pots and pans, a carving board and a meat thermometer. The house was immaculate, and we were so thankful that when we arrived at the house close to bedtime the beds were made up already. Our last day even the weather cooperated and there was some beautiful light snow. I’d love to come back in the summer and see it then as well!

This is the perfect location to sit back and relax. Loads of indoor and outdoor spaces, very well appointed kitchen with all you could want. Abundant wildlife to watch. And let’s not forget about all the local creameries and their ice creams! Such a wonderful place. Owners are super nice and check in/ check out is a breeze. Will definitely visit again!

Relaxing cabin, wonderful property
We had an amazing time at the cabin. It's so cozy yet spacious. Our 11-year-old daughters had so much fun in the water and the woods, they didn't want to go home. The hosts provide so much at the home from dinnerware to games, I definitely packed too much. The property is beautiful, the home is immaculate, and the hosts are wonderful! We couldn't ask for a better stay and hope to be back very soon!

A True Gem in the Woods!
An absolutely beautiful home in the most serene setting. The home is cozy and spacious all at the same time. The attention to detail, ease of check-in, cleanliness, and all of the amenities made it even more special. We enjoyed the old school gaming console as well basketball too. We were looking for a quiet place to getaway for the weekend and this was perfect. Highly recommend this cabin in the woods!

Perfect country getaway!
This property is gorgeous! The cabin is homey and was clean. We enjoyed cooking our meals and eating together each evening. The area is secluded and abundant with wildlife,. We enjoyed evening campfires and the great ice cream, and fresh eggs from the local farm, just 5 minutes away. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Lovely clean cabin, beautifully decorated in an isolated location. The kitchen was fully stocked, the kids loved the loft with games. We enjoyed hiking outside in the woods along the stream. 5 minutes drive from the cabin there's a farm dairy little store with milk, eggs and amazing ice cream. Great place to relax and spend time with family.

This cabin is worthy of a repeat stay. We came for skiing at Elk Mountain. While the cabin is not super close, it is not too far away. We arrived in a snow storm. Even with the amount of snow on the ground, access was simple with an SUV and entrance was shoveled. Home was clean, rustic with a modern feel, and had all necessary equipment for cooking. My husband rocked the wonderful Jotul wood stove and my boys enjoyed the games and game consoles. Communicating with the Hosts was seamless. A delightful Cabin in the woods!

Great place to sit in front of blazing fire and chase winter away! Kids loved games in loft and warmth of gas fireplace in living room when watching big screen TV. The kitchen was well appointed and once we figured out the thermostat’s nighttime settings we were very comfortable. Bring slippers!

Idyllic cabin retreat
The homeowners are very caring and gracious hosts. They are very responsive to answering questions. Their house is a real beautiful Lincoln log cabin in the woods. The surroundings are beautiful and idyllic. The interior is thoughtfully decorated not cluttered. It is set up with bedding, sheets, towels, firewood, trash bags, cleaning supplies included. During our winter stay IT WAS COLD (7 degrees) and there is snow! Bring tall boots, long Johns, cozy slippers, woolen sweater, fleece lined pants/ leggings. There is no dishwasher (not a problem for us) so bring some extra paper goods for easy clean up. Overall just a wonderful get away. We went skiing at Elk mountain with awesome skiing. We highly recommend this place. Thank you for sharing it.

First trip to Elk
This rental is perfect to get away. The pictures are nice, but do not give this cabin the justice of the experience seeing it live. Immaculately clean and I couldn't get over the incredible smell of the pine wood interior. Beds were beyond comfortable and kids slept like rocks. Multiple televisions, games, comfortable couches and recliners, with a great fireplace and even better wood stove.... Loved that. Johnson Creek runs right next to the house and the babbling water sounds were incredibly relaxing; so peaceful. Anthony and Connie treated us like adults with simple, reasonable rules and a great welcome kit that showcased some very good eateries. My only recommendation to potential renters would be to bring some food items with you as convenience shopping is about ten minutes away. This property is isolated. We skied at Elk Mountain for two days and this cabin was perfect for warming up and recharging. If you are visiting the Pleasant Mount area or are just looking to get away, I highly recommend it! Communication was great and we had everything we needed. Thanks again! We'll be back.
