'Het hotel bevindt zich op een groot parkeerterrein (services) met diverse eetgelegenheden. Leeds en York zijn goed te bereiken. Kamers zijn ruim en comfortabel. Helaas was de volgende dag onze kamer niet schoongemaakt en hier kwam niet echt een professionele reactie op, later wel excuses.'

'Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.'

'The room was clean and the staff friendly. I probably would not come here again mainly because they do not serve breakfast. Their website states that breakfast is made to order and I recall seeing it on the expedia page but then was notified a day before about where to go for food instead. I asked on arrival and they have not served breakfast in 3 years. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. The shower had someone else's soap in it and the body wash was never renewed after use. 'Prachtig hotel! Het bad is geweldig! Hier en daar is de vloerbedekking wat versleten en gaat het behang er voorzichtig vanaf, maar dat word door het comfortabele bed compleet goed gemaakt'

'Overall this is an excellent professional hotel, with kind and welcoming staff who made every effort to make us feel at home. The only two things that let it down were firstly that the WiFi was quite unreliable in my room, and secondly the housekeeping office was right opposite my room and from 8 o’clock every morning there would be people in and out of there shouting, arguing, laughing very loudly - and they woke me up more than once!'

'Very comfy big bed, shower and taps took ages to get hot, but eventually did. Lots of tea and coffee options in room together with a fridge with wine and snacks if required. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Bit strange going in and out at back of the building, but happy to recommend as somewhere central to stay.'

'Good little apartment, had everything we needed. Close to town centre. Only thing was the tv’s - couldn’t get live tv on tv’s in bedrooms, only could get BBC1 in lounge, no ITV!! '

'Lovely large room with a huge bed. Very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom also very spacious and has underfloor heating! Huge mirror with lightning and a radio. Our room also had a sink/kitchen area which was useful. The staff were helpful and friendly and we would not hesitate to stay again. Its very close to town centre and also has paid parking which is very convenient. '
