Spring 2024
As it turned out, husband, teen grandson and I spent most of our stay at the cabin itself. My first impression upon entering was how absolutely warm and inviting it was. Our host had the gas fireplace going and even a nice bottle of wine waiting. One of the owners greeted us with homemade jam too! If we return to Pollock Pines, we'll definitely be booking this cabin.

Great Stay!
Had a great stay. Cabin is cozy and well stocked. Wi-fi worked well. Plenty of room to hang out and visit with family. Would definitely recommend this property. We probably will be back for another visit next year!

Girls weekend
This cabin is just perfect. The living room has the best feel with the windows big to see out during the day. Loved the fireplace heater and rooms were great. Rec room is fun . Everything you need is there and store is nearby for groceries. Cabin has all the nice touches and very comfy . We cooked alot and noticed maybe the kitchen couid use some bigger skillet or cooking pan but we brought one . The outside grounds are beautiful and having the fenced dog run was so nice to have. This may be our new spot for our yearly trip !!

The property was fabulous. The woods were beautiful and the cabin was so well stocked for every need. The kids and groomsmen loved the fire stove, hot tub and game room. It was so comfortable and welcoming and the host was very understanding of our situation. It was a great stay, and I would recommend it for any family who would be staying in that area.

Wonderful property. Very peaceful neighborhood with beautiful trees all around. Safeway and CVS a mile away. Near Apple Hill and Sly Lake. Water rafting 40 minutes from home. Hot tub and amazing deck! Highly recommend this property. Thanks. Emily for being a great host.

Awesome Birthday Weekemnd
This property was awesome.I had a great birthday weekend with a couple of friends it was nice and quiet even though I seen how close it was to the road and I was thinking oh no, but despite that it was nice and peaceful and was very quiet. I spend my mornings in the hot tub no jets running just enjoying the silence. We even spent some time around the fire pit. The property was clean the layout was cool the pool table was a plus we had a couple of tournaments. I love the fact that it was close to the grocery stores we even took walks to the store, it’s just a awesome vacation rental all around. Definitely coming back and bringing a good friend who deserves this peaceful place I didn’t have a dog with me this time but I like the fact that there is a gated place for the dog to be so all around two thumbs up best hot tub of every rental that I’ve been in.😊👍🏾👍🏾❤️

A memory of a lifetime
The moment we enter to the last step out, it was an incredible cabin to stay for the weekend. It was a magical stay for our wedding weekend in my hometown and was blessed to be so close in the area that I grew up at. We had a wonderful getaway here and would love to come back! Everything is very clean and comfortable, and the house is very well stocked, with plenty of extra bedding and kitchen tools / basics. The game room and the hot tub made it really special and fun for kids. We'd highly recommend it!

We had an amazing stay! The cabin is very cozy and the hosts thought through every detail! Lots of very nice touches : basket of snacks, all the toiletries, labels for everything and instructions for everything to make the stay easy. The cabin has everything you need for your stay! We enjoyed the hot tub - it’s clean and well-maintained! Kids enjoyed playing in the yard. The area is beautiful, with a lake near by. A nice snow park is about 40 min away. Perfect place to get grounded
We had a moms gathering for deep rest and reconnection. The cabin was just perfect, a beautiful and comfortable home with lots of extra lovely touches, including being greeted with a few bottles of wine and a lovely welcome note. . The hot tub, trees, and view of the star-filled sky made it an ideal place to feel truly relaxed after a rough couple of Covid years. The folks at Evolve are wonderful hosts!

Just what we needed
We rented this property for a week in July. It was perfect! We came as a family of eight….5 adults and 3 children. The game room was perfect for some rowdy games of air hockey and pool. The hot tub was used by us every day. Most important was we created family memories that will last a lifetime and that in itself is priceless. Thank you Janet and Emily for sharing your beautiful cabin!! We will be back.

We were here for our son's wedding so we didn't get to take full advantage of the property because of how busy we were. I wished I would have had more time to bum around the beautiful property, play pool, and have a BBQ on the deck. We did enjoy the hot tub and the house was wonderfully decorated and comfortable!

Above and beyond my expectations!
Everything about our stay was perfect. The property is beautifully maintained and adorably decorated. No detail has been missed! We were a group of 4 kids and 4 moms and it was exactly the amount of space needed. The game room and sleeping area above was such a bonus and well used by our pre-teens. The location is spectacular. Wonderful homes to walk by and enjoy, plus the lake is so close for hiking and swimming. It was also a quick trip to Apple Hill. I highly recommend for all ages!

Cozy Getaway For a Family of Four
We (family of 4; kids ages 8 & 10, plus a dog) stayed at Amber Cabin for 4 nights as the final stop of a longer trip. We wanted a place where we could relax but also work remotely and allow the kids to do their distance learning. We were worried about the internet connection but it actually held up pretty well for all 4 of us. We took full advantage of the hot tub and game room. The separate garage with game room and beds was a huge bonus for us; the kids loved it and it gave us moments of quiet time. Note for others: this house is great for close families or friends, but I wouldn't recommend it if people need privacy. The detached garage bedroom does not have a bathroom, and if those staying there need to use a bathroom they have to go into the other bedroom downstairs (or through the open bedroom upstairs). Beds were comfortable. Provided slippers were such a nice touch. Gas "wood burning" stove was cozy and perfect for the chilly evenings. Loved all of the details with fun decor and antiques. Especially loved how meticulously everything was labeled and instructions were clear! Kitchen was very well stocked not only with all needed cookware but with pantry staples and condiments as well, which is hit or miss at other places. The area for dogs is fairly small but nicely fenced and did the trick. Luckily there's plenty of roads to go for a walk and enjoy the woods. We also explored at nearby Sly Park; walked by the lake and up to the waterfall. Absolutely perfect to go in April -- not too hot, not too cold, green/wildflowers, falls were full, very few people (although we were there in the middle of the week). To top it off, very good communication from the owners - got the entry code the day of, even said it was ready early; and very friendly. I loved reading about the history of the cabin, and I could feel all the love that went into it! Thanks for the nice stay!

Amber cabin is great!
This property is dialed in!! Everything in it's place with easy instructions to facilitate comfort. Deck and hot tub are fantastic. Only neg would be that it's located on a corner fronting a somewhat busy street. It was the first thing I noticed when I arrived but you quickly become accustomed and it was a none issue for us. The game room in the garage is ideal for young kids. Two thumbs up!!

Lovely Property, Fantastic Experience
Our family of 4 stayed here for spring break, and it couldn't have been a more fantastic time. The house is cozy, clean and had room for our two teen kids to spread out. The deck is great, the hot tub was awesome, the game room was so fun. The owners were incredibly responsive and personable. We had anticipated rain, and weren't thinking about making s'mores at their firepit, but ended up getting ingredients and Emily had marshmallow roasters brought over that evening. The owners also loaned us a couple of sleds for our venture to find snow. The location is great from the standpoint that you're 5 mins from the store, and ~10 mins to waterfalls and hiking trails... the only small drawback was the street noise heard when enjoying the deck. But - overall it was incredible and we plan on returning. House and hosts are absolutely lovely!

Ambers cabin was very charming. It had all the amenities covered just like they advertised. The property was kept up. There home was very clean. It is close to town which makes it even better. The family enjoyed them self’s. The hot tub and game room was a blast. We have stayed at a lot of Airbnb‘s they get an A+. My family would definitely pick to stay with the Ambers cabin again.

My husband and I spent our first wedding anniversary at this cute cabin. The home and property were very well appointed, and had everything we could need and more. It was perfectly cleaned before our arrival and there was even a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us to congratulate us on our anniversary. It was very sweet and a wonderful start to our trip. The location was great, close to the grocery store and lake, but still felt secluded. The owner of the property lives behind the house, but we honestly barely even noticed them. It was a perfect getaway!! Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Wine Country Location
Everything about the property was accurately described in the listing except for one huge surprise; the cabin was stocked with more essentials than we ever expected! This negated any extra trips to the grocery store to pick up anything we might have forgot. The location was the perfect basecamp for our winery visits over a long weekend. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We had a couple of minor issues that surfaced and our host, Emily, was very responsive. You couldn't get better service. We ended up having only 5 adults stay. We were able to juggle the 2 bathrooms between us, but realized the 7 we had originally planned on would have been a challenge. Over time as the owners improve the property, the best suggestion we have would be to figure a 3rd bathroom in the garage building. Also, some additional air conditioning for the upstairs bedrooms would be nice in the warmer weather when it doesn't cool down much at night. Neither of these are deal breakers and we would happily stay there again!

Great get away spot for peace and quiet. Ten minutes from Apple Hill and 20 to Placerville.
This is a wonderful property with all the conveniences of home. Peace and quiet abound in the surrounding neighborhood. Just a quick jaunt to Apple Hill and Placerville.
