Een plek voor jezelf

Je hebt de gehele woning helemaal voor jezelf en hoeft dus alleen met je reisgezelschap te delen.

Afgeschermde veranda, uitzicht op Lake Huron, lopen naar het strand en de stad in minuten!

U zult net zo veel van ons huisje met 4 slaapkamers / 2 badkamers houden als wij! Volledig gevuld met alles wat je nodig hebt, van potten en pannen tot een stranddeken. Ontspan en diner op ons terras of geniet van een cocktail op de veranda aan de voorzijde - beide met uitzicht op het meer aan de overkant (niet direct op het water). Loop naar de Farmer's Market en restaurants in de stad, Paks Cafe en Beer Garden, kajakverhuur, jachthaven en de State Harbor in enkele minuten. Bird Creek Park en Beach zijn recht in onze buurt. Loop letterlijk overal naartoe!
(Houd er rekening mee dat uw reserveringsbedrag een restitueerbare borg bevat wanneer deze wordt opgeteld).
* Slaapplaatsen 10 ~ Twee slaapkamers hebben Queen bedden en twee hebben volledige bedden. Twee
  banken in de woonkamer als u wat meer ruimte nodig hebt.
*Twee badkamers. Een vol met douche en bad en de andere met douche.
* Apparaten: fornuis / oven, koelkast, magnetron, broodrooster oven,
  koffiezetapparaat en broodrooster.
* Geen vaatwasser of wasfaciliteiten, echter, de koffie
   Bean and Clean is ongeveer 0. 1 mijl verderop in de straat. Grijp een
   koffie en gooi indien nodig een lading wasgoed in.
* Linens verstrekt: handdoeken, lakens, kussens en dekens
  (Moet uw eigen strandhanddoeken meenemen)
* Vuurplaats voor gebruik. Extra stoelen achter het huis.
* Enorme tuin voor games (we hebben games voor gebruik)
* Help jezelf aan onze stranddeken, strandspeelgoed en
  binnenste buis.
* Huisdieren zijn toegestaan voor $ 75 en $ 25 voor elk extra huisdier, maar moeten contact opnemen met de eigenaar voor goedkeuring. Sorry, geen pitbulls.
* Kabel, wifi, DVD / VHS. We hebben veel films en je kunt nog meer huren in de stad bij de hoek Liquor Store.

We loved the porch and all the knotty pine. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. The Weber grill was new. The closest beach wasn't swimmable but was pretty. The only constructive comment i offer is that the toilet in the shower bathroom rocks becase the floor and tile need to be replaced. The vrbo service fee and breakage insurance fees were excessive and left us with a negative view for future rentals with them.

This house is well stocked with needed supplies and also clean. It is a very easy walk to a nearby beach that was not busy while we were there during early August. You can also easily drive to several other beaches within 10 minutes. The host is responsive and helpful. If you have a little down time at the house you can also try to solve some mysteries. It is a great place to relax! I would definitely book this place again!

Escape to serenity

My grand children, two thirteen year old boys and one 11 year old girl and I hold what we fondly call Grammy Camp each summer. The cousins get some extended time together and I get to enjoy exploring our state with them. This cottage was perfect for us, everyone got their own room, 2 bathrooms (need I say more?), and the kitchen was so well equipped for anything we might have wanted to cook! I especially enjoyed the screen porch in the mornings for a peaceful cup of coffee, we also used the porch to do some crafting (painting stones with paint pens, no mess!); the dvd selection is epic, and later in the evenings we enjoyed a fire outside in the fire ring. We walked several times down to Bird Creek Park, my distance runner grandson did his daily runs on the peaceful streets and sidewalks, and we found many places to explore within a 30 minute drive. The owner supplied an ample number of towels, and was quick to reply when contacted.

2025 Porchfest with friends

We traveled to Port Austin for the 2025 Porchfest with a group of friends and stayed at this rental. We were very close to all the activities, music, town and the beach. Everything was in walking distance.The unit was roomy enough for the 8 of us. There were 4 bedrooms with either full or queen beds. Our bed was comfortable but a few in the group said they kept sinking toward the middle of their bed. We cooked most of our meals at the house, with a low country boil outside on one night. Delicious!! There were also a number of good restaurants and food in the area. I would recommend this as a rental property for friends and family.

Cozy cottage

This is the perfect space for a stay in Port Austin. Mary is an excellent host and extremely responsive. She helped us download an app on the TV to watch the Tigers and even helped find my husbands wedding ring/send it back after our stay. Her kindness and responsiveness made for the most comfortable stay, plus the house is stocked with helpful necessities.

Very well stocked with just about anything you could think of needing. Only thing you need to bring is your clothes, food and shower products. The host is fabulous and responds quickly. We will definitely be back as we felt comfortable and at home.

Wonderful, clean home. Very well-stocked with just about everything you need! Nice location, with a great "lake view"!! Cute nautical decor, and lighthouse decor (my favorite!) inside. Excellent, top-notch, quick-response communication with Mary, the owner of home. Very pleased with our stay!

Overall a decent stay. Pros: Affordable, very well equipped with kitchenware, beach toys, and towels, as well as papergoods. Great location and walkable to town. The cons: Walls in the back bedrooms are essentially just plywood/paneling. You can hear every breath, snore, conversation, TV through the walls. You can also see through the cracks in the corners where the walls come together. Finally, the bedroom and back bathroom doors are all wood with metal latches and several did not latch/lock and thus would not stay shut which is problematic when trying to change and/or if you like your door shut at night. We ended up propping something against the doors to keep them closed. Just a heads up that the lack of quiet/privacy may be an issue for small children trying to nap and/or those who need quiet to sleep.

We had a wedding in town and this rental was within walking distance to the venue. It had everything you needed and you could even see the water! I had to reach out to the host and she replied within the hour.

The perfect place to celebrate our Moms 80th bday! Clean, quiet, close to everything in Port Austin. This cottage is quaint, welcoming and stocked with everything needed for a long weekend getaway to a coastal town off Lake Huron. Thank you so much, Mary!!!

Great location and communication

Great location. Very close to town. Emails were responded to quickly and the house was well stocked with everything we need easy to find. Loved enjoy the view from the screened in porch and deck. Rooms are small and don’t have msny plugs, but worked well for our needs. Would stay here again without question.

The home was nice but it could have been cleaner. The edges where the walls hit the floors in the bathrooms needed a good scrubbing. Also the window edges in the sun porch were very dirty. The coffee maker was left dirty and full of grounds. The giant trash can in the kitchen was unnecessarily large and a little stinky. The views of the lake were awesome though.
