Gelegen op slechts enkele kilometers van de Galveston Ferry en op loopafstand van het strand, ons strandhuis is idyllisch voor diegenen die op zoek zijn naar de volledige strandervaring, maar niet alle kosten.

Wat begon als thuis van mijn grootvader tijdens zijn jaren als garnalenbootkapitein, onze familie omzette het in een ruim 2 verdiepingen tellend strandhuis met alle gemakken van thuis. Benedenverdieping beschikt het over 2 wc-toegankelijke slaapkamers met een complete badkamer (vaste douche), wasmachine en droger, een overdekte patio met 2 veranda swings, veel ruimte voor grillen (gas- en houtskoolgrill inbegrepen) en een buitendouche voor uw terug van het strand.

Boven kan de vloerplank alleen als wijd open worden beschreven. Opvallend gecentreerd is een enorme keukenruimte, volledig uitgerust met een kookplaat, fornuis, magnetron, koelkast / vriezer en waarschijnlijk meer tegenstopruimte dan je ooit hebt gezien! Ook heeft de bovenverdieping een eigen slaapkamer met een queensize bed, een woonkamer, een eettafel, een kingsize bed (achter kamerverdelers), een dagbed met een bedbank en een complete badkamer (bad / douche) met twee ijdelheden .

De "grote winkel" ligt op een paar straten afstand van al uw benzine- en kruidenierswinkels, evenals twee waterparken, het Fort Fortvis Seashore Park, een aantal restaurants en bars, vuurwerk (seizoensgebonden) en souvenirwinkels. Voor degenen die geïnteresseerd zijn in een langer verblijf, zijn veel van de Houston bezienswaardigheden zoals honkbalspelen, Johnson Space Center, Houston Zoo, enz. Op minder dan 2 uur afstand.

First family vacation

We came right after hurricane Beryl. So there were a few issues with ac and things. But Cindy the housekeeper was here and worked to help. Even brought us a fan from her house. The owner was out of town so it took a bit to get things up and working. But we did and we had a good week after all.

This was our second time staying in this spacious beach house on Crystal Beach. We had plenty of room to accommodate our whole family of 9. The house had everything we needed for our 9 day stay over the 4th of July. We will look forward to staying again in the future.

Great Place to Stay!

Besides a small hiccup, our overall stay was awesome! The house was clean, there were plenty of towels, the galley kitchen was incredibly large, the neighborhood was safe and quiet, and working with the owner was easy.

Very nice, clean rental with lots of amenities

Beach house was very spacious, especially kitchen. It was very clean! Host was friendly and very easy to communicate with. Cleaning lady came by once to take dirty towels but we didn’t even need them yet, there were plenty. Slept 10 very easily and no one was on the couch or floor. Everything we needed was found in the beach house, felt just like home. We had such a good stay and can’t find a thing to complain about! We brought our 4 wheelers, so it was a quick trip to the the beach for us. Beach access road is 1 street over. The firework show from the balcony was great! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. We truly had the best 6 days!

This is our 2nd time to stay here. The house is running down, needs tlc and brought up to date. The bottom floor had bugs and smelled very musty-----damp and moldy. Don't like that the cleaning came by two times in 7 days. Came and walked through the house (top and bottom), not sure what she was looking for. The plus was the updated trash---now on the curb.(last time we had to put the previous trash out on the curb) No washer/dryer-----that is always a plus.

Beautiful house and experience

My spouse and I along with another couple visited the property to celebrate our 16th anniversary. I misinterpreted the house description as being wheel chair accessible. This is only true of the ground floor, which consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The property owner quickly responded upon my request and clarified for me. Our group being younger we were able to manage because the house is much lower to the ground compared to other similar properties. This is entirely my fault and I only write it here so someone does not make my mistake. Overall we had an amazing time, and the rental was a huge part of that. We look forward to returning soon.

Roomy and spacious beach house.

Awesome Labor Day visit to Crystal Beach with our family. This house is conveniently located close to the beach and had plenty of room for our family. The kitchen was fantastic with room for everyone. We hope to return again next year.

Mr Charles was so accommodating in our time of need ! We were evacuating for hurricane IDA with my 91 year old mother and every thing was perfect for her stay . 2 downstairs bedrooms were perfect Kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need . We loved every thing about it 😊 But most of all the kindness of the owner was the best. He actually had not intended to rent the Cabin due to the hurricane in the Gulf . After me telling him about my Mom he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed !

Beach paradise!

This home was so cute and conveniently located close to the beach and stores! I definitely recommend renting a golf cart along with your stay! Beach access is one street over! The ac worked great and was super cold too! We loved all the mermaid and sea shell decorations! There is also a shell identification charts so you can see what shells you found! It’s a perfect place to come relax after a day of fun in the sun! I can’t wait to be back!!

A recharge

After a very long school year this was the perfect spot! The house is beautifully decorated and very inviting! The huge deck upstairs was perfect for sunbathing or just sitting and reading a book. It was close enough to the beach but far enough away from the beach goers to enjoy! The downstairs rooms were clean and spacious. The porch swings were a bonus as well as the outdoor shower. The owners are wonderful and tended to our need immediately!! We loved our stay and hopefully can return soon!!

Best kitchen I've ever seen

This house was absolutely perfect for us! The patio downstairs was perfectly shaded, had 2 amazing swings, a grill, a picnic table, and a screened in sitting area. The upstairs deck was our favorite hangout place. We woke up every morning and drank our coffee watching the sunrise. And the KITCHEN!!!! That kitchen was the best kitchen in all of the places we've vacationed. Fully stocked with all utensils and cookware with a massive wrap around bar top. Our whole family could cook and eat together without running over each other. The homeowner was super quick to respond to any questions we had. Would highly recommend! Beds were comfy and house was super inviting. We started a guest book. So if y'all stay after reading this review please sign it!

Better than expected!!

I found this property because I was looking for a cost-friendly, last minute reservation. The property was very clean with an amazing kitchen. The kitchen had every utensil imaginable. The downstairs rooms were perfect along with the washer and dryer. I enjoyed the set-up of the upstairs beds. I don’t enjoy walking, but it was actually an easy walk to the beach. The owner was available immediately to answer my questions. The oversized deck/porch was enjoyed by all of us. The location to the water slide, Big Store, and other stores was perfect. The only negative thing I could possibly post would be new pictures are needed. The ones posted do not do the property or interior justice!! It is much better in person. We had an amazing stay and will definitely rent this space again!!

Spacious beach getaway

I love this property! If I could afford it, I would come back every weekend. It had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacation. Everything I needed to cook was there including serving platters. There was plenty of linens and towels. I love the large deck upstairs. It was good to sit and relax with my family and there be plenty of space for us to spread out comfortably. The beach was just a short distance away by foot and even though it was in close proximity to the beach, it was very quiet and peaceful. I had a few questions and the host was very quick to respond. All in all this was a great weekend and it definitely made us feel at home.
