Fantastisch appartement in schitterend, indrukwekkende omgeving
Uitermate smaakvol ingericht appartement waarbij aan alles is gedacht. Als welkom stond de cider klaar. Prima gelegen in Port en Bessin Huppain, rustig met schitterend uitzicht op de haven en zee en op 100 m de drukte van de haven, terrassen en winkeltjes.

Heel fijn, leuk en gezellig appartement met alles wat je nodig hebt. Géraldine is een geweldige gastvrouw, spreekt Engels en het ontbreekt je aan niets. Fantastisch uitzicht en een heel gezellig dorp. Wij komen zeker terug.

La perfection n'existe pas mais ....
Une réservation au hasard, accroché par des photos et un emplacement idéal. Au final tout y est, pas de surprise, pas de mensonge ! Appartement idéalement placé, avec tout l'équipement dans les moindres détails et surtout une propreté parfaite. On se sent attendu et respecté, merci aux propriétaires, ils aiment faire plaisir à leurs hôtes. Rien de mieux pour apprécier un moment de détente.

Amazing location!
The location couldn't have been better! Everything was as advertised - especially the view! Geraldine met us at the apartment and showed us how everything worked. She even had English language literature for nearby sights and local food and beverages for us to try. It was the perfect location for visiting the WW2 beaches, the Bayeux Tapestry and Mont St Michel. The market on Sunday and the daily fish market were amazing. Great restaurants and shops are all just a few steps away. You can relax and just watch the boats, the tide and the water birds all day. Parking the car was easy and free except for Bastille Day when they had certain restrictions due to the fireworks. There is one flight of stairs to the apartment. We highly recommend this rental!

Communication et accueil excellent avec Géraldine, qui est de très bon conseil L'appartement est superbe, avec tous les équipements nécessaires, et même plus ! Les petites attentions avec cadeau gourmand dans le réfrigérateur sont très agréables . La vue est splendide, avec jumelles à disposition . L'appartement est au calme, mais en 2 mn , vous êtes au centre de tout : commerces, port, marché Enfin la situation de Port-en-Bessin est idéale pour aller visiter tous les sites du Débarquement Je conseille et recommande vivement !

Beautiful apartment
We had an amazing stay in this darling apartment right on the water. We were able to walk everywhere in town and it was an easy drive to the WWII beaches we were interested in seeeing. Geraldine was an amazing hostess and answered all our questions before we arrived and met us upon arrival to give us helpful tips about where to eat and visit. Highly recommend!

We just had 4 nights here and it was one of the best VRBO we have experienced. Geraldine was helpful and quick to respond from the moment we booked. She met us on arrival to help us settle in and provided us with useful information regarding the area. This is the perfect location to explore the D day beaches…in the middle of all the beaches and close to Bayeux. As for the unit we were impressed. It was like the pictures and even better. Modern kitchen with everything you need including spices. We’ll equip bathroom with beautiful shower. Cozy comfortable bedroom and nice view over the harbour…and lots of restaurants within a short walking distance We highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Normandy

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit ein paar Kompromissen
Unser Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr schön, was der netten Begrüßung und der tollen Lage der Unterkunft zu verdanken ist. Kleine Kritikpunkte für uns waren, das die Matratze im Schlafzimmer sehr durchgelegen war und das die Nachbarn sehr gut zu hören sind. In unserem Fall waren die letzten drei Tage die Waschmaschine von 6 Uhr morgens bis 3 Uhr nachts durchlief. Vorallem gut zu bemerken an der vibrierenden Küchenlampe und Dunstabzugshaube.

Dear Daniel I am really surprised by your rating and your comment because the apartment has been open for 7 years and we have on several merchant sites more than 200 5-star comments for this rental because in fact we maintain each of our rentals every year and we all change the 2 years all the mattresses, pillows, your mattress was changed 18 months ago so it may not have collapsed. Regarding my 2 American clients above you, they left at 8:00 am with their guide and did not return to the apartment until 7:00 pm, so I don't understand how a washing machine can run on its own during the day. My 2 American clients only stayed 3 nights and when contacting them they told me that they had only made 2 machines. None of our customers have reported in 7 years that they heard the second's washing machine and the kitchen vibrate. You should know that when we rent in an old building, we hear some noise in the common areas when our customers leave the building, but the great quality of this building is tranquility. Our American customers get up early and I understand that if you wanted to sleep in, you may have heard some noise that bothered you, but not the washing machine. Cordially Geraldine

Our host thought of everything!
Geraldine is an incredible host. She thought of every detail so we wouldn’t miss anything we needed from home. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The fishing village is very quaint and nicely located with easy access to the WWII beaches and Bayeux and Caen. I would highly recommend a stay at Geraldine’s place.

Parfait pour un (très) long weekend !
Nous avons séjourné quelques jours lors de la nouvelle année dans cet appartment. L'accueil de Géraldine a été parfait et ses conseils très judicieux (que ce soit pour les excursions dans les environs, les restaurants, la réservation du plateau de fruits de mer avant notre arrivée...). Nous avons vraiment apprécié la destination qui restait vivante malgré la basse saison.

Bonne position de l'appartement
L'appartement était propre et agréable. On avait tout à porté de notre main. Géraldine était très informative et sympa. Le seul ennui était que nous avions des voisins qui étaient bruyant de temps en temps mais ce n'est pas la faute à Géraldine. On a passé comme même un bon séjour.

Martine Je vous remercie pour votre commentaire, en ce qui concerne le petit désagrément de vos voisins, il faut informer notre clientèle que nous avons 3 appartements dans cet immeuble et que nos clients partent en général en visite vers 9h/9h30 ce qui explique un peu de bruit dans les parties communes, ce qui peu déranger nos clients voulant faire la grasse matinée. Beautiful appartment with brilliant view on the sea
We spent 2 wonderful weeks in this beautiful appartment with an amazing view on the sea. It is very well equipped and we didn't miss anything. Everything was as described and exceeded our expectations. The bed linen is changed and the rooms are cleaned by a very friendly team once a week. Centrally located and you can reach restaurants and all daily shopping on short distance. Omaha Beach easy to reach in about 15mins by car. Geraldine provided us with a lot of information about the region and did everything to give us a warm welcome and easy check-in. Thanks a lot for a great holiday experience!

Die Ferienwohnung bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich wünschen kann. Die gesamte Einrichtung wirkt liebevoll ausgesucht und alles ist perfekt sauber. Für Komfort ist reichlich gesorgt und zum Selberkochen ist alles Notwendige vorhanden. Der Blick aus den beiden Fenstern zum Hafeneingang ist wunderbar und zu jeder Tageszeit / bei jedem Gezeitenstand bieten sich neue Eindrücke. Delightful. great view of the harbor to watch the tides, seagulls and fishing boats. Geraldine has thoughtfully provided many things from instructions books on the appliances to dishwasher tablets and coffee pods. The small town is charming and you are close to 2 grocery stores (1 walkable) and 2 bakeries. the only warming is the steep 2 flights of stairs. but a great place to stay for all the D-Day memorials and museums, 37 restaurants in town, etc.

My husband and I highly recommend the property and second the previous reviews. Géraldine was a lovely and attentive host who ensured we had a comfortable stay and got us situated within the area. The apartment was true to the pictures, beautifully decorated and with all the amenities, with a gorgeous view of the bay, and spacious enough to accommodate the four of us including our two teenage boys. The apartment is located in a quiet street, with free parking and at walking distance of the fish market, stores and restaurants. It is perfectly located to explore the D-Day beaches and Bayeux.

My wife and I can not recommend this apartment more highly. The special touches left for us as a welcome was a lovely touch. Celine was wonderful in helping us check in. SUPERBE
Superbe petit appartement idéalement situé sur un quai tranquille, face à la sortie du port : on ne se lasse pas du spectacle des marées et du va et vient des bateaux ! Cet appartement est bien agencé, décoré avec goût et d'une propreté impeccable, rien ne manque. Il est idéalement situé pour visiter les environs : les plages du débarquement, Bayeux, etc, .... E t que dire de note hôte Géraldine qui nous a chaleureusement accueillis, en nous donnant des adresses de restaurants à Port en Bessin et alentours, des idées de visites, de la documentation, et de judicieux conseils , si ce n'est que c'est PARFAIT. Nous avons donc passé une excellente semaine et gardons précieusement cette adresse. Un grand merci à Géraldine, et peut-être à une autre fois ?

Vraiment génial
Nous avons pasé deux superbes séjours dans cet appartement parfait. L'appartement est très propre, confortable, moderne et équipé au dessus de la moyenne. Tout ést la : Machine à laver avec sèche linge et poudre à laver, un lave-vaisselle et lave-vaisselle, fer et planche à repasser, café (pas seulement une cafetière), thé …tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Après une semaine, les lits étaient fraîchement couverts et les serviette s étaient changées. Cela ne va pas de soi. En guise de bienvenue, il y a eu une surprise : quelque chose de doux sur le lit, un patè et même du vin dans le frigo. Géraldine est fabuleuse: elle est toujours très sympathique, serviable et nous avons eu de bons conseils de voyage d'elle. La région est très belle et Port en Bessin est une très jolie petite ville avec un port avec une vue exceptionnelle. Un grand merci á Geraldine. Parce que notre français n'est pas très bon, il y a maintenant la évaluation en allemand 😊. Wir haben zwei außerordentlich schöne Wochen in dieser perfekten Wohnung verbracht. Das Appartement ist sehr sauber, komfortabel, modern und überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet. Es ist alles vorhanden: Waschmaschine mit Waschpulver, Geschirrspülmaschine mit Spülmittel, Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett, sehr gutes Internet, Kaffee (nicht nur die Maschine), Tee … alles, was man braucht. Nach einer Woche wurden die Betten frisch bezogen und die Handtücher getauscht. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich. Zur Begrüßung gab es dann noch eine Überraschung: etwas Süßes auf dem Bett, eine Wurstpastete und sogar Wein im Kühlschrank. Géraldine ist fabelhaft: Sie ist immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und wir haben tolle Ausflugtipps von ihr bekommen. Die Region ist sehr schön, Port en Bessin ist ein hübsches kleines Städtchen mit Hafen und einer außergewöhnlichen Aussicht. Einen ganz großen Dank an Geraldine. Heike und Jürgen

Un logis bien amplasse et très soigne
La description sur le site est conforme a la réalité. Rien n'est embelli ou exagéré.La gérante est très aimable et elle répond immédiatement en cas de besoin (chose assez Rare). L'amplassement du logis est parfait : au bord de l'eau et tout près du marchais de poisson. Et enfin cette petite localité est très coquette. A recommander !

Our Escape to Normandy with a fantastic View
We had a wonderful time in Geraldine's property. It had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Geraldine was a very attentive host and gave us tips on places to visit and which of the local restaurants were best to visit. The view was amazing, I would sit on the window seat and drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening and watch the fishing boats. The property is ideally placed to visit the D-Day beaches and Bayeux. We caught a train to Caen which was very easy from Bayeux, just 3 stops. We would highly recommend this property and Geraldine as a host and will return one day!

Perfect stay in Normandy.
It is hard to add more than the other reviewers have already said. This property is new, beautifully decorated, perfectly located facing the harbor/sea, beautiful views, steps from all the restaurants and bars, free parking in front of the building, in the perfect location at the exact middle of all five Normandy landing beaches. Close to all of the major sites, museums and towns. The apartment has everything you could want and more. Geraldine is a lovely host who has thought of everything! This is a charming fishing village which was strategic during the Allied invasion and used for making the classic film "The Longest Day". You won't be disappointed! If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Perfect apartment on the bay
Geraldine was so great. She was there to show us around the amazing apartment. The pictures of the apartment were just what you will see but being there is way better. Walking out and being right on the ocean. Geraldine gave great recommendations for dinner and where to buy anything in town. Amazing seafood restaurants and make sure to walk out the boardwalk to see the sunset. So much to see in the area with the WWII museums, Bayeux and Mont Saint Michel. Port en Bessin was a cool small fishing town and will be going back. Would have stayed longer if we knew this area was so great and stay again in this apartment. Great location in Normandy
The apartment was even better than advertised. Very clean and all the amenities were right there. The host was very helpful with recommendations. This is a great location for exploring the Omaha and Utah beaches as well as the quaint fishing village it is in.

Wonderful
Our host was gracious, helpful and generous. The apartment was very well appointed and comfortable. The location was perfect: gorgeous views of the sea and footsteps to restaurants. Honestly, it could not have been better in any way.

Geraldine is absolutely fantastic. Every detail has been thought. The views are as advertised (right in the water). The town is the best kept secret of Normandy. From here you have complete and easy access to all the invasion beaches and memorials- absolutely centered to the region. The flat is very special and is fully equipped and new. My wife and I loved it. The restaurants and people in this town are fantastic as well. Just as advertised and great value.

Fabulous Vacation
We had everything we needed to be so comfortable in the apartment , with modern appliances,very clean and artfully decorated rooms,fantastic views of the ocean ,very close to the stores and restaurants. Most of all we had sound sleep every night. Geraldine Levilly is the ultimate wonderful host.She made the warm welcome and a quick check in.We didn't expect it but she left us a bottle of rosé cider ,a bottle of white wine and the most delicious Rillittes de Canard which was thoroughly enjoyed! We can't thank her enough for the exceptional vacation we had! If we will come back to this part of Normandy,for sure we will stay here again.

Much more then we thought that we would get
First let me say that Geraldine is a fantastic host. She went out of her way to make sure that we were happy. We have traveled this way for a while and we have stayed at about 20 apartments over the last 15 years. It has been rare to find an owner or manager as attentive. The apartment was well appointed and had everything that we needed. The fish market is about 75 yards away! We cooked here quite often, but we also ate out quite a bit. The restuarants that Geraldine recomended were great. Particularly liked Le Vauban. Really nice couple run the place and their food is great. The closeness to the WW2 beaches was amazing. You can see the Milbury port at Arromanches from the jetty near the apartment. We grew up on the water near fishing boats and to watch the fishing boats come in and go out was really cool. When we come back this is where we will go.

Persönlich gestaltet, ansprechend, sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet, toller Hafen-Blick
Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin ist sehr persönlich. Sie kümmert sich und erklärt gut. Die Wohnung liegt sehr gut um das ganze Thema der Landungsstrände aber auch urlaub am Meer wie auch im Hinterland zu erkunden. Unbedingt empfehlenswert

Clean, well equipped, comfortable and immaculate with pleasant views of the harbour.
This property is very well located for anyone wishing to visit the Normandy beaches and places of historical interest, in particular Bayeux..The apartment is well designed and Geraldine, the owner has paid great attention to detail in order to make it as comfortable and well equipped as possible.It is also close to the local bars and restaurants. There is on street parking available which we were always able to access.The apartment itself has everything you need and we had a lovely fortnight.Initially accessing WiFi was a problem but Geraldine quickly resolved this issue for us. Although there was TV and dvds, there were no English channels available for us to watch .Geraldine was most welcoming and keen to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible.

Fabulous apartment, spotlessly clean, great views.
We were welcomed by Geraldine who is exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering advice on what to see in the area. The apartment is tastefully decorated and furnished, the overall theme is in keeping with the harbour. It was fully equipped with modern appliances and was spotlessly clean throughout. Everything is provided, so there is no need to take anything. There was even a welcome gift of wine, rose cider and pate waiting for us in the fridge, and chocolates on the bed. We have booked again for next summer.
