Deze goed uitgeruste eengezinswoning aan het strand biedt grote gemeenschappelijke ruimtes plus een gemeubileerde afgeschermde veranda en alle weer dekken om te ontspannen op elk moment van het jaar. Stap direct vanuit het huis de promenade op naar het gemeenschappelijk zwembad, of naar de prachtige witte zandstranden om schelpen en vogels te verzamelen. Recovery Room is blij om uw hond ook te hosten tijdens uw verblijf.

Great tidy place right on beach with pool access. Large space with comfy couches and beds and even beach decor. Lots of stairs but nicely done. It’s obviously a rental and the kitchen could use some serious updates and a few functional things. Under counter lights, stove light or even fridge light did not work. Fridge popped loudly every time it was opened. Cleaning crew didn’t leave any bath towels in upper bedroom but we were able to take some from one downstairs. Enjoyed the view, access to beach and would definitely stay again.

Perfect family house

Some of the reviews made me nervous but I found this house to be a great fit for 3 families. The listing originally said it had 2 parking spots but you could easily fit 4 cars or midsized SUV’s. The location was perfect. It was very quiet and about 15 minutes away from the center of town. The pool was empty most of the day until about 3 pm. There was ample space on the beach to spread out. The ocean water isn’t as clear as Destin but I’d take the laid back vibes of Port St Joe any day of the week. I do have a few suggestions for the owners. There are definitely not enough towels and wash rags. There might’ve been 3-4 wash rags and about 8 bath towels so you do have to run the washer daily. The bottom floor bedroom only had a clear shower curtain liner, no actual shower curtain which was odd. Overall, the house had everything else we needed - comfy beds, TV’s in every bedroom, hairdryers, irons and my personal favorite, a box fan! It also had a variety of beach chairs, skim board and beach umbrella. I’d definitely visit again and recommend the house to others. Thanks for hosting us!

Great house - with a few issues

This overall was a great house and we really were happy with our stay. Just a few things we wish we had known: The pictures are a little deceiving. It looks like a boardwalk takes you directly to the beach, but it doesn’t. The boardwalk ends and you still have to walk through a decent length of very soft sand and over a steep dune. -You never speak to a real local manager. Only customer service reps from Vacasa. I guarantee you’ll see a generic response to this review. -Things in the house that need to be fixed: exposed outlets without plates, refrigerator door is broken and makes a very loud sound when opening, front door keypad is faulty and doesn’t work most of the time. -The top room smelled musty and damp the entire time (kind of like a wet dog) We bought a swiffer mop and mopped ourselves but the smell remained. -The couch was covered in dog fur when we arrived. We bought a lint roller and nearly used the entire thing to remove it. -I was sent a text from Vacasa asking how the cleanliness was on our arrival day, and I told them our two issues. They once again gave a generic response and said they were sorry for our experience, but offered no solution. -In the list of amenities, a high chair was listed. I could not find one on our first day. I messaged Vacasa and asked where it was. Yet again, I received another generic response and no solution was ever given.

This beach home was perfect. Very quiet and not touristy. The beach was perfect for sand castles. Only complaint was the floor at beach level the bathroom shower didn't work nor did the tub stopper BUT there was 3 other bathrooms to use so it wasn't any damper on our vacation. The beach and pool was our favorite part! Wish we could've stayed longer!!

Recovered at the Recovery Room

We enjoyed our stay at Recovery Room very, very much. The home is very close to the beach with amazing views. The kitchen is well equipped with just about anything you may need, however a lot of dishes were put away dirty and needed to be cleaned before use. I believe this had to do with an ill-working dishwasher. So we washed them by hand which wasn’t a big deal as we didn’t eat in that much. We were there for 2 weeks in February of 2024 with friends. It wasn’t the warmest of times to be there this year, the nights were in 30-40s, but it warmed up outside nicely everyday. One of the heat pumps to the unit didn’t work so it was chilly on the first two floors in the morning. The rental agency did address the issue however it was unable to be fixed during our stay. I only gave 3 stars for cleanliness. The view from the main floor is absolutely stunning, and one would think housekeeping would be sure to clean those doors and windows after every checkout to optimize that view for every guest. I washed them on my first morning in the house for just that reason, the view. The unit is surface cleaned but is in need of a really deep clean. This is our second year in the area, and we plan on going back again. Despite the few things I have mentioned I would go back to the Recovery Room in a heartbeat, we lived every single minute of our time there.

Enjoyed our trip to Port St Joe! Clean condo and quiet location. Well maintained and gorgeous views for sure. All the conveniences were provided. Could use a few upgrades. Front door padlock would not work. The living room TV/cable matching experience needs an upgrade. The refrigerator door sounds broken. But overall a nice vacation experience. Would recommend.

Beautiful View - Perfect Getaway

We loved our stay at Recovery Room! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, it was a short walk down the boardwalk to the beach, and the views were gorgeous! The only downside is that there are lots of stairs, but we managed just fine. We hope we can book there again next year.

Recovery Room Nov 2023

Overall, a very nice place in a great location. The place was well stocked, clean and had everything we needed. Vacasa added a nice touch by delivering a welcome basket of goodies our second day. We take three to four trips a year, mostly in and around Florida and Recovery Room and Vacasa got this one right. Would stay here again and will recommend Vacasa to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, comfortable and we could bot have asked for a better location. The kitchen was well stocked. The only cons were the dishwasher smelled horrible and the door knob fell off the door accessing the deck on the 3rd floor and was not fixed prior to our departure. Unfortunately, we never got to use it. Would definitely stay here again.

Very pleased with this location. Quiet beach, close to restaurants and shopping. House has a few updates since the last pictures. Very comfortable beds. Very nice house. Would rent again. Loved our stay. Tip, keep the upstairs door shut to help keep the room cool. It was warmer than the other floors but was comfortable for us. Not an issue at all.

Recovery Room Respite

Lovely home & well furnished! Comfortable beds . No ice maker & lots & lots of stairs. Enjoyed the screened in porches😀 Nice wide beach & not crowded. Horseback riding on the beach as well as Turtle Nesting ! The shared pool was especially nice for grandsons.

We had a nice time, but...

Upon arrival, there was a strong and offensive odor of animal urine in the upper stairwell area. I had to clean the wooden steps of the entire staircase with a disinfectant cleaner. There was Black Mold on the Shower curtain liner on Floor 1 King Bedroom. One bedside Lamp in this bedroom could not be turned on due to broken switch. The bed pillows in this room also need to be replaced. *Inaccurate description of property-No jetted tub on property. A used ECig was found under the dresser in Floor 1 Queen Bedroom . A tampon applicator and other debris was found along the driveway near the front porch when we arrived. No blankets were provided for any of the bedrooms. Fridg/Freezer did not properly cool and did not make ice during our stay. A larger tv screen in family area would be a nice upgrade. We enjoyed our stay, but want to communicate these things to you. Thank you.

Spend your money somewhere else

This property is not well maintained. The property is expensive to rent but when you stay here you can tell it’s not well maintained. The air conditioner does not cool the top floor. The home is not cleaned properly. The top floor smells like dog urine- the odor is strong. The dishes are put in the cabinets dirty. The screen door has duct tape on it. The air conditioner can not be put below 74 degrees or it will freeze up. The air filter is not the correct size. The coil on the air conditioner is so dirty it will freeze the unit. Vacasa and VRBO’s responses are all automated so they are not helpful. There was trash in the yard and thrown under the home when we arrived. Do your self a favor and spend your money staying somewhere else. This property is too expensive to stay like this for 7 days.
