Peaceful Getaway
The property was as described: clean, cute, easily accessible, and close to everything we wanted or needed! We had a great time of relaxation and peace! The hot tub was a nice bonus on the property, even in the wind advisory on our last day! Very refreshing!

Cozy beach cottage
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental property! It was very clean and cozy. The location is in a safe and charming little neighborhood with a lovely Pool to use. We had a relaxing and quiet experience.

Long walk from the parking lot.
Despite what the description says you do not have two designated parking spots. The C units are a long walk from the parking lot which my elderly parents appreciated. If you arrive after dark it will be challenging to locate the property.

Cute quiet Community - Clean comfy Cottage
First time to Port St Joe but not our last. This cottage community has a good location to the downtown area, swimming pool and hot tub were nice. The cottage itself is clean and very comfortable, nice updates. The primary bedrooms mattress is medium firm which was perfect for us (spouse is side sleeper- needs softer, I’m back- needs firmer), good go between. Loved the kitchen (a metal spatula would be helpful though) and the primary bathroom esp shower. The furniture and decor was casual beach without being cheesy. Nice to sit out on the screened in porch. We very much enjoyed our stay :)

Get out of the cold
From Wisconsin really enjoyed the comfortable accommodations and warm temperatures along with the wonderful food from local restaurants, and of course the beaches. Will come again next year.

Location close to WindMark Beach was okay. Couldn't really walk to beach its a busy road but a short 3 min drive and easy parking. Town of Port St Joe is quaint with wonderful restaurants. Low key vibe area. The place we stayed was wonderful. Two floors 2 and 1/2 bath . Two bedrooms. One rom KIng and the other bunk bed and a single bed. Great for kids..not a couple.

Cutest cottage
Great little cottage just a few minutes from the beach. There was a nice pool and hot tub to keep the kids entertained while my husband fished in the mornings. We drove to Mexico beach because the water was much more clear than windmark or PSJ beach. The little community was cute and quiet. The screens on the porch needed replaced as well as the screen door and the kitchen wasn’t as well stocked as other houses in the area but overall we loved our stay and will be returning!

Overall complex was clean and well maintained
very comfortable and easy to get to. we are very disappointed that that we couldn't bring our boat or trailer into the complex. The construction of more units was poorly planned and will create overcrowding in the future.

Overall the condo was nice. Called a few days prior inquiring about beach chairs and towels and was informed no chairs but there were towels. When we arrived there were no towels so called and towels were brought the next afternoon so we had no towels the first day. Thought there would at least be some beach toys for kids but there were not. All the places we have stayed over the years provided some sort of beach toys, most had boogie boards and such. The overall unit needed a deep clean, there was grimy dirt around the door handles, there was a dirty skillet in the cabinet along with a cookie sheet that had grease on it. The stainless appliances looked like they were cleaned with a wet rag. There was virtually no wi-fi, we had half a bar at best and the tv would lose connectivity continuously. Overall after all the years of vacation rentals we have come to the conclusion that self managed units are more cared for and owners take pride in making sure their renters have a clean cared for place as we have stayed at several units a couple times because of this. The important part is the grandkids had a great time and that's what is most meaningful.

Enjoyable Family Vacation
We enjoyed staying at the Barefoot Cottages. The whole complex is very charming. My children enjoyed the pool. There were lots of tree frogs and lizards, which we all enjoyed watching. There are several nice beaches a short drive away. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were a bit flat and there were no extras in the closet. The amenities were a little "bare bones". No coffee pods for the Keurig. No laundry detergent to freshen a load of towels. Only one bathroom had a bottle of hand soap, and it was almost empty. We have never stayed in a vacation rental where these items weren't provided, so we were not prepared. Since this is beach rental, some folding beach chairs and beach towels would have been appreciated. There was a strong pet odor when we first walked in, so some plug in air fresheners are needed. Overall, this was a nice place to stay, and we would stay again. There are just a few tweaks needed to make it perfect.

Great experience!
Overall great stay and nice place! Very clean and enjoyed spending time in the house even though we were there for the beach. Only recommendations would be to fix up the screen porch and the front door. Given the tropical environment, bugs were able to get in freely, making the screen porch unusable. The front door has a gap at the bottom that was an easy entrance for the local critters. Other than those two things, great experience and would come back for sure!

Arrived after dark. No maps or instruction to find unit. Drove and walked around for twenty-five minutes before finding our unit. No answer on phone assistance for 15 minutes and then the operator couldn't help. A LIGHTED sign in the parking area would help greatly.

Quiet beach getaway
We loved our nice quiet stay over spring break. The property was adorable, easy to get in and out of and perfect in size for our family of 6. It was a short drive to Mexico Beach and Cape San Blas, where we played in the sand and watched the sunset. On our way home, we hit Panama City Beach as well, so lots of bang for your buck on location.

This is the best VRBO we have rented & we have never stayed anywhere we didn’t love. But this place was everything - clean, exactly as depicted, awesome pillows & mattresses, plenty of nice towels, great kitchen, unique quiet community. We will be back. Only small complaint is not enough trash bags.

This was our second stay at Barefoot Cottages. Really enjoyed our stay with our dog. Had trouble navigating the TV, looking for lical weather for boating. Other than that awesome. Especially liked the upstairs porch. Would definitely go back.

The title says it all. This was just a perfect place to relax and feel at home. Updated and smartly decorated, this cottage has it all. The porches were great places to hang out. The inside was homey with all the essentials of home. Would stay again.

Stormy stay
This is our second time staying at this exact cottage and we enjoyed it. The cottage is a good size, the property feels safe and location is a good jumping off point for the area. The cottage was as described and very clean. However, the area rug in the living area needs to be replaced ASAP. It is in poor shape and makes the cottage not seem as clean as it was. I would suggest a darker rug for a replacement or at least not one with a white background- it needs to go. We love the area and the weather was absolutely disappointing with the far East side of Hurricane Sally. We had only one sunny day and all the water and beaches were churned up and not inviting. The weather of course, is luck of the draw- last time we stayed it was perfect. We would absolutely book this cottage again.

Great Cottage
We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage!! We had everything we needed. Check-in was effortless, but it took us a few minutes to locate the cottage since parking is not located directly in front, and directions for the location of this cottage were not clearly marked. It was a short walk to the front door. The location was quite and private. The WATCH FOR SNAKES sign was a bit disturbing, but we appreciated a heads-up. Master bed was comfortable and master bath was beautiful.. We drove to the beach at Cape San Blas each day of our stay. There were two light bulbs out on the front porch, and one out over the inside staircase, but not a big deal for us. We didn’t cook but used the refrigerator and microwave. It was odd that the freezer handle was missing, and a towel bar in the upstairs bathroom kept falling off. Both need to be repaired. We loved the cottage for a quite get away!! The location is a couple of miles from downtown Port St Joe and quite a drive out to the cape but we knew this when we made reservations, so it was not a surprise or an issue for us. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely consider staying again.

Although it was only a short stay, this property was perfect for our purposes. There were a few issues, but nothing that hindered our stay (we never had to contact the property manager which is why I only gave 3 stars - no “N/A” option). Items that need attention: - disposal blades teeth loose? Very noisy - TV in living room - couldn’t get local channels - TV in guest room - no cable - freezer handle missing (found in cabinet) - makeup in master bath drawer not mine - hot tub - only half jets working - only 1 porch light working - light in stairway burned out We would definitely consider going back!!!

Exactly what we needed!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is a short drive to multiple beaches. The cottage was clean and very accommodating. The property was the most quiet of any of our trips. We will book here again in the future. The only problem to note but wasn’t a deal breaker was the fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms didn’t work.

Absolutely delightful!
The cottage was adorable. The decor was tastefully done and more importantly, it was clean! They provided some basic cleaning supplies, which was a nice touch. The unit/cottage we were in does not face the pool, but was set back and secluded making it super quiet. Having a toddler, we chose to drive to the beach each day as it wasn’t a reasonable walking distance for us. The area isn’t commercialized making it the perfect BEACH getaway! 🙂

Port St Joe area is pretty and a short drive to cape San Blas. We got the best of two worlds! The cottage was gorgeous and comfortable!! I don’t usually want to go to the same exact spot twice, but I may be in C59 again someday! Well done Vacasa!

Property had everything we needed! Very quiet and private. Loved the upstairs balcony!
Our family trip to port st joe was awesome and staying at this cottage was perfect! It was quiet yet spacious! We found our way to Windmark Beach one day and practically had it to ourselves! The next, we used Happy Ours kayak and Bike rentals to kayak and snorkel the bay near cape San Blas- the day was perfect! Great memories made! The beds at the cottage were comfy and we were able to cook in comfortably in the unit. Our kids loved the neighborhood pool too! We will definitely return!
