'First, on our way to the room, we saw that the elevator was gross. Upon entering our hotel room, we were hit with a bad smell. A mix of pets, cigarettes, and just super musty. We took a quick look around - there was a candy wrapper in my mom’s bed, along with a dead bug (Like a beetle)! There was a sticky stain on my bed frame. The floor was dirty.

'An absolutely beautiful property and staff were incredibly kind and helpful!
We had a late arrival and the two young gentlemen were waiting at the dock and they helped my sister and I with all our bags.
The entire property was very clean and there were incredible views of the water and golf course.

'We haven't seen any staff at al! We checked in at 3.30 , not late, but the key was in the mailbox, our room was in another building, no heating ( it was freazing last night) and no extra blancket. Breakfast was not what we expected and again no one was there! We made the decision to go to a Bed and Breakfast because it is so much more personal then a hotel but that is difficult when no one is there or shows up!'

'Be aware of this place if you take a lap dog, they will frame and charge you for "dog poop". I have a well trained dog that has been traveling with me for years and has his own bed. This is incredibly infuriating they said there was dog poop in the bed. So where did my husband and I sleep? I even returned to the room because I left my car keys when checking out and I moved all the covers from the bed to find the keys.

'The room was clean, bathroom was clean but shower drains slow, soft towels, great water pressure, parking was easy, beds were ok. 'This is a great place to stay. Everything was outstanding. I had only 1 issue and that was just a slow draining shower. I told them at the front desk I was leaving for a bit and could they look at it. Indeed when I returned in 2 hours it was working fantastic. 'Great location, lots of history and character, and we enjoyed our stay overall. We had a room in the carriage house, and had a few issues with the TV not working, and the upstairs neighbor arriving and making plenty of noise at 1-2am, but the beds are comfy and the restaurant is excellent!'
