Mooi en verzorgde cottage
Het is een huisje dat van alle gemakken is voorzien. Alles is aanwezig voor gasten die met een vliegtuig komen. (badhanddoeken, shampoo, zeep, etc.) Mooi centraal gelegen zodat naar uitstapjes vaak binnen een uur te realiseren zijn.

Hi Marcel, Thank you for your review. With regard to the shower being slightly tight it would appear that you didn't realise that it was actually a wet room. Both sides of the cubicle move back and you have the use of the entire room. I will check our discription on the site as this might not be very clear therefore thank you for bringing this to our attention. Regard Agnes

Nice house with a beautiful view
This cottage is beautifully situated 15 minutes drive from Portree. The cottage is well and completely furnished. A number of local beers are ready on arrival. From this cottage you can explore Skye well and there are more than enough hiking opportunities. This cottage is highly recommended.

A lovey cottage stay
This was the perfect stay for our Isle of Skye trip. It was clean, cozy and charming and the hosts were kind and accommodating. It had everything we needed and then some. We loved how cozy the living room was with the electric fireplace. In addition, waking up to the beautiful views and saying good morning to our sheep neighbors made it feel even more cozy. The location was prime since we weren’t far from Portree and other main sites. I would recommend saying here.

Lovely Cottage
We had a lively time at the River View Cottage. The host was easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable during out stay. The cottage was well appointed and we loved to 10 minute commute to Portree. This cottage is located within 30mins of most of the major attractions on Skye.

Excellent out of main town of Portree cottage
The cottage just out of Portree was an excellent home base for our family of four for three days on the Isle of Skye. The kitchen was very well-equipped and bedrooms were roomy. The shower was a little unusual but there were very good instructions on how to use it, so no issues with that at all. Ample parking. Agnes was great with communication and there were some cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate for us - which we enjoyed! We had a slight issue finding the place from the GPS directions were were given, but didn't take too long to find the right location. We had no problems at all with our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely little private cottage with river view.
We loved our stay at the river view cottage near Portree. It had everything we needed for our 3 nights stay and served as a great base for exploring the isle of Skye. It’s so nice to have a quiet place to retreat to after a day out on the very heavily touristed isle. We had the basics for making simple meals which turned out to be essential since Portree is so crowded and it’s difficult to find a restaurant with an opening. Having a washing machine was a definite advantage since most trails were muddy. The little heating stove was a welcome treat when returning home cold and wet. The house was immaculate and quite comfortable. I would highly recommend it!

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, aber zugleich so zentral auf der Insel, dass alle Wanderziele und Attraktionen gut erreichbar (mit dem Auto) sind. Gute Einrichtung, sehr sauber, schöner Garten. Netter zuverlässiger Kontakt zu den Vermieter (via E-Mail). Vielen Dank für eine tolle Urlaubswoche! Verbesserungsvorschläge: ein paar mehr Teller und Bestecke. Toll wären auch mehr Sitzmöglichkeiten im Garten.

Beautiful location
My husband and I stayed here for our elopement and could not have picked a more perfect place. The owners were very kind, easy to get a hold of, and answered all of our questions quickly. The house is surrounded by beautiful views! We took the walk over to the ancient burial ground which was interesting and definitely worth it. The cottage is also a quick drive away from Portree, so it's easy to grab food. When we come back to Skye, we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Sometimes it’s good to get away from crowded towns and throngs of tourists - this is the place! Situated a short drive north of Portree we enjoyed the countryside landscape, the sound of sheep, and the fresh country air. There were some very nice restaurants close by and a Co-Op grocery store about 10 minutes away. All-in-all we had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful cottage with amazing views. You can reach each corner of the Isle of Skye within a maximum of 1 1/2 hours. The cottage is lovely, the furniture and interior are homely and cozy. Absolutely gorgeous! Enough can't be said about the views - simply stunning. Great location - everything was so conveniently located without being too close. Very well equipped for everything we needed. Fantastic welcome booklet and host - answered all of our questions for a smooth stay. Only con for me was we found several spiders in the corners and I'm ridiculously afraid of them - but to be expected with such a remote location. 100% would stay again!

Riverview cottage is a beautiful little croft house just outside Portree. Beautiful scenery. 10 minute drive to the coastal town of Portree & all it's amenities. The cottage is well equipped for families. A great stay. Would highly recommend.

Location, Location, Location
We had a lovely stay at River View. The den was very comfortable, the cottage spotless, and the location ideal for our trips to central and northern Skye. The only negatives would be that the standard bed was a bit firm and you really need to grocery shop. There were no paper towels or even salt/pepper.

Wonderful Self-Catering Cottage
This cottage was exactly what my family was looking for, a stand alone cottage in a quiet setting with room to spread out. The cottage was delightful and we enjoyed staying there. We had plenty of space for the three of us and were able to make breakfast and a few dinners from the local coop store. We were really pleased that there were no other neighbors close to us and we felt like we had the tranquility of being in a remote location while still being close to Portree and all the attractions in Skye.

Fantastic spot on Skye!
Our family adored this lovely cottage stay. The place is cozy, well-maintained, tastefully furnished and spotless! The view is peaceful and beautiful. The location is 10 minutes to Portree, 20 to the Uig Ferry Terminal and convenient for exploring all areas of the island. Agnes was an excellent communicator and we loved the tip she shared about a little isle within walking distance. This spot turned out to be at the top of our list of most favorite adventures. We would happily and without hesitation stay again!

Sehr ruhiges, schönes Häuschen
Gemütliches und ruhig gelegenes Haus. Die drei Schlafzimmer waren geräumig und hatten gute Matratzen, Wohnbereich war sehr gemütlich. Toller Blick über den Fluß und die Landschaft, gut als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und andere Aktivitäten. Tipps und Infos zur Umgebung wären noch schön gewesen. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir würden wieder buchen.
