Staffin village has two shops, a museum, Post Office and two hotels serving good food. It is situated in the wild north of the island and makes a great base for exploring the rest of the island as well as the spectacular Quiraing which can be walked to from the house. The Old Man of Storr is only 10 minutes away by car and the 'Fossil Beach' with dinosaur footprints can be visited by walking along the bay in front of the accommodation.

The Isle of Skye is home to the most stunning and varied scenery of Scotland from the unique Old Man of Storr in the north to the rugged Cuillin Hills in the south. Skye is walking country with routes ranging from the easy to the most challanging and spectacular. Among the many historic and cultural sites Dunvegan Castle is a must and bird watchers may glimpse golden and sea eagles here. Wildlife is everywhere from otters to orchids.
