'The location was beautiful, overlooking the golf course… I would specifically ask for a king room overlooking the course. The staff at the hotel was very helpful… Lily, Lorraine, Luisa… And Grace in the dining room room. We had such a lovely time there. Ate in the dining dining room room, both breakfast and dinner each night. A quiet, peaceful, relaxing, couple of days… Highly recommend this location'

'5 stars is too much for this hotel. Double bed is in fact suitable only for one short person! Photos are not like the reality there. No shelf in the bathroom to even put your wash bag. Nothing is practical. And breakfast was the worst part. They gave me white toast saying this is sourdough. Staff are not nice (except one person at front desk). Things were constantly not working. Also no parking for 5 star hotel! It’s def a 3 star hotel'

'The Brown Trout Golf and Country Inn was perfect. Very friendly staff. Had two meals here. Had lovely food and plenty of it. The breakfasts were also good. Had English and then had a lighter breakfast the next day, yoghurt and fruit with toast to follow. The room was also lovely, our own little cottage style room. Plenty of space and comfortable and clean. The lounge area was cosy as well with a log fire. I could have stayed here a week.'
