It was the best stay I’ve ever had. You can enjoy the pool and the garden 24 hours a day, it is amazing to relax in the pool while stargazing. Staff is great, room is great, everything is very peaceful. Hope yo return one day

Exclusive place. Wonderfull botanical garden, you are in the middle of nature! Nice village. Surrounded by a lot of places where you can have a drink, good coffe, ice cream, restaurant summer breezes is a golden tip and we liked the hotel restaurant for the excellent food and treatment best.

Best way to close a trip relaxed.
The Terra Nostra hotel was our last stop on a trip around Sao Miguel, and we were happy to close off in this way. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful botanic garden which is espacially nice to visit outside of opening hours for the bigger crowds. Breakfast has everything you could want, and our evening meals were some of the best we had during the week.

This is a unique property in the middle of the Caldieras around Furnas. the hotel itself is elegant, the staff welcoming and the property grounds are extraordinary. There is a thermal pool on the property which many people visit for a dip in the waters, uests have robes and slippers to use since the water discolors clothing due to the iron in the water. There are incredible gardens through which guests can walk for hours. Many tour companies bring visitors to the gardens. This place was a slice of heaven. Bountiful full breakfast was included. Would highly recommend

The Terra Nostra Garden Hotel is beautiful, and the service is impeccable. We stayed for three nights, and took full advantage of the access to the gardens and thermal pool, as well as the restaurant. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, and their professionalism really added to our stay. Highly recommend a stay here!

I wouldn’t stay anywhere in Furnas except Terra Nostra Garden Hotel. Outstanding buffet breakfasts and our dinner one night featured incredible presentations, attentive staff, delectable flavors with many options. Beautiful gardens to stroll through. Continuous off hours access to thermal pool…it was magical and so relaxing at 10:30 pm. Caroline at concierge desk was fantastic helping us plan two amazing days.

A remarkable stay. The hotel is very clean, staff is very proffessional, and the 24/7 access to the park is absolutely worth it alone. We were able to enjoy the pool to ourselves later in the evening and in the early morning because of this (may not be the case during peak season, but it will still be more serene than sharing with the public). The breakfast spread was amazing, I was very impressed, and it included many local products which I enjoyed immensely. The hotel is also located in the center of furnas, and we were able to walk around and enjoy the whole town easily by walking.

Beautiful Gardens and thermal pool
This is a very nice art deco hotel located on amazing property. You have the access to the Terra Nostra Gardens and termal pool. Thermal pool is fantastic, but make sure to wear dark coloured swim suit to avoid discolouration. The service was great as well as daily breakfast buffet and a restaurant. I highly recommend Cozido. The only thing we did not like is a lack of coffee maker in the room and a mattress with very high motion transfer. If you sleep in one bed and your partner moves, you will be bouncing side to side. For this reason o recommend booking a room with two beds even as a couple.

Tout est parfait. L’hôtel est situé au cœur de la ville, donc tout est accessible à pied. Architecture art déco superbe, literie excellente, spa extra, sans oublier la possibilité de se baigner dans la source thermale 24h/24. Fantastic stay
We stayed for 4 nights. Everything was great from start to end. Unlimited access to Terra Nostra Park, and thermal pool is included. Indoor pool and Turkish bath very nice. Breakfast is an extensive spread enough to last until dinner. Staff seemed genuinely happy to help you. Visit the thermal pool at night!

Very pleasantly surprised the moment we turned up at the front door. The hotel may be 4* but it was quite easily on par with a 5* we've stayed at. Breakfasts and dinner were a thoroughly enjoyable experience: no marmalade though, only honey!! We've been to the Gardens before and one of us had been in the Thermal Pool: you cannot help but be impressed with the Pool, especially after the public have left. As of September 2023, works are ongoing at the east end of the Pool, didn't see an expected completion date. Changing rooms, WC etc are at the west end. Thoroughly enjoyable short stay in Furnas.

I can’t say enough about this hotel and the botanical gardens attached. The only thing we were missing was a view, but we didn’t need it with all there was to offer outside of your ur room. The room had plenty of space and we loved the choice of pillows. The bed could have been more comfortable/softer. The bathroom was large. The only issue there was that the water somehow ended up leaking out onto the floor outside the tub and saturated the floor towel. The food at the restaurant and at the patio bar was all excellent! We wished we had more time to be able to try out the pina colada, which looked exotic and refreshing. The cheeseburger was the best we’d ever had (and we are not normally huge fans of hamburgers). At the restaurant, we enjoyed the starters that they brought to our table, a lovely glass of red wine, the cozido for two that had lamb (which I thought was excellent). Warning…it was enough to feed at least three people! We didn’t really have room for dessert, but t managed to try the dessert that contained pink pepper ice cream. It was delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The highlight of our stay were the thermal mineral pool and the amazing botanical gardens! It was like being at a theme park. The grounds and variety of plants were phenomenal! This was one of our favorite places we have ever stayed at.

Très bien
Hôtel parfait, sa piscine thermale accessible uniquement aux clients de l’hôtel avant 10h30 et après 16h30. On y va avec les peignoirs fournis par l’hôtel et bien sûr c’est gratuit pour les résidents. Les meilleurs petit déjeuner de notre circuit de 15 jours. Le restaurant est aussi très bien mais un peu cher pour ce qu’on vous sert, et surtout répétitif quand on reste plusieurs jours. C’est le seul restaurant de Furnas, sinon que des snacks.

A gorgeous property that was a joy to stay at! We had the thermal pools all to ourselves many nights and enjoyed walking around the gardens, listening to the live entertainment, and sitting in our balcony!
