The Heron Studio is a charming retreat for two, set slightly back from the beachfront for added privacy while still offering a glimpse of the ocean.

This cozy open-concept space features a kitchen, living area, and fireplace for relaxed evenings together.

Enjoy sunrise coffees or storm-watching from the shared sunset deck by the beach.

Perfect for: romantic escapes, solo wellness retreats, add-on suite for wedding groups.

The property is home to four suites, thoughtfully designed to provide both privacy and community.

Guests have access to shared amenities, including the BBQ pergola, two fire pits, the oceanfront hot tub (by appointment), and our glass-panel sauna (extra add-on). Refresh with the outdoor shower and cold bucket splash, or take a plunge into the ocean.

As your hosts, we’re available to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay. We respect your privacy but are always just a message away.

Guests enjoy full access to all of Arbutus Cove Retreat’s outdoor amenities.

Shared spaces include the beach area, sunset deck, BBQ pergola, and cozy fire pits.

The oceanfront hot tub is available by appointment, while our glass-panel sauna is offered as an optional add-on (extra $15/hour). Refresh with the outdoor shower and invigorating bucket splash, or take a rejuvenating plunge into the ocean.

Please note: advance booking via our website is required for both the hot tub and sauna to ensure availability, privacy, and a personalized experience.

Ideally situated half way between Powell River and Lund, 15 minutes each way. A beautiful tranquil place for you, your family and friends to escape into the stunning Pacific Northwest!

Although Powell River is on the mainland, it will require a couple of ferry rides (Horseshoe Bay to Langdale and Earl's Cove to Saltery Bay) to get to it because it is not directly linked with the rest of the provincial road network.

In the summer months it’s a good idea to make a ferry reservation from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale. Reservations are not available on the 2nd leg, from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay.

The property has 3 suites in total:

Lower suite (Cedar Suite) - sleep 6 people

Upper suite (Hemlock Suite) - sleeps 6 people

Studio suite (Heron Suite) - sleeps 2 people
