Oorspronkelijk gevestigd buiten Helena, bevat deze prachtig herbouwde blokhut uit 1800 nog steeds de magie en het mysterie van de oude goudmijndagen. Eigenaar, Sarah Muller, kocht de hut, verplaatste hem en stapelde hem opnieuw op zijn huidige locatie in de historische goudmijnstad Old Chico.

De hut van het Schoolhuis slaapt vier comfortabel. Draadloos internet is inbegrepen. Kleine badkamer met douche, volledig uitgeruste keuken; magnetron, koffiezetapparaat, mixer, gasfornuis, potten en pannen, en een prachtig gemarmerd gasfornuis.

Een perfect gelegen hut in het midden van Paradise Valley, waar u naar de nachtsterren kunt kijken in de vredige sereniteit van de emigrant Gulch.

Dicht genoeg bij Yellowstone voor dagtochten in het park en terug naar huis om te genieten van een leuke BBQ op het achterdek of trakteer uzelf op een diner in een van de goede restaurants in de omgeving.

Of u nu op zoek bent naar een rustige plek om te ontspannen of een plek in de buurt van Chico Hot Springs en in de buurt van Yellowstone Park om van te genieten, de School House Cabin zal niet teleurstellen!

Great stay!

The property was quiet and cozy. The host stopped by shortly after arrival and gave great recommendations for the area. If you stay here Yellowstone hot springs is a must! The drive to the park is quite enjoyable as well. Overall great stay and would stay here again on next visit!

Schoolhouse Cabin near Yellowstone

The Schoolhouse Cabin was an absolute delight! It is located off the beaten path, a bit remote, quiet and peaceful with a stream running through the back of the property. It was also spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our week exploring Yellowstone. The owner was a great help in working out our plans. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Incredible!

What a great experience! The perfect place for a couple to go to and get away. It's located in a quiet area away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough to a few things if you need to run out and grab something. This was mine and my wife's first trip away alone with no kids or friends in over 20 years and it did not disappoint. The transformation Sarah has done to this property is amazing in itself! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who asked!

Amazing Cabin near Yellowstone

My wife and I loved this cabin. It is a renovated school house from the homestead era. The back porch has a view of small stream. It is ~30 minutes from the North entrance of Yellowstone, and the drive through the Paradise Valley next to the Yellowstone is beautiful. It is remote, but my wife and I loved that. It is not far from hot springs, saloons, and restaurants. Hopefully, we will be back to stay again sometime!

Beautiful and serene

Sarah’s School House is a very impressive and well-appointed sanctuary. Sarah greeted us upon our arrival and gave us some amazing tips for visiting Yellowstone park and surrounding hikes. The School House is just about a mile from Chico Hot Springs Resort where we dined our first night there. Thank you, Sarah, for a wonderful stay!

We liked this comfortable nice cabin, It's not like a usual cabin, it's like a nice hotel apartment. We had a great time at Sarah's place. She has everything you need at her place. We felt at home plus a great view with a running creek nearby. It's easy to get to Yellowstone just half an hour's drive on a great scenic highway. Sarah is a wonderful person and host.

Heaven on earth

Charming and cozy cabin

We stayed with two young children and found the cabin to be a perfect space for us to rest on our vacation. Our four year old even asked the day we left if we could stay at the cabin again! Sarah had a binder full of information that lead us to some of our adventures. I enjoyed the reading material on the history of the schoolhouse cabin. Plenty of toiletries were stocked for our family. Sarah’s communication was consistent and much appreciated. We had a wonderful family trip 😊

Fantastic Montana Cabin Experience

Exactly as advertised. Picturesque old "one room" School House Cabin, beautifully renovated. Great history. Perfect relaxing spot and launching point for all that SW Montana and Yellowstone offers. The "School House" was well furnished with nicely stocked kitchen. Lots of hooks for hanging towels, clothes, etc. Our host, Sarah, was fantastic. Excellent communication. (She lives next door.) Provided tons of info and things to do/see based on her personal experience. Some amazing stories. Would definitely recommend to others that want the Montana cabin experience (without roughing it) to put you in the right mood for the wonderful history, sights and hikes for this area.

The School House gets an F

VRBO requires that reviewers award at least 1 star. At 1 star, “The School House” is grossly overrated. Our main complaint with this cabin was its total lack of storage. There was not one closet, drawer, shelf, hook, cubbyhole, rack, hanger, or space to put our belongings. Although we booked the cabin for one week, we were vacationing in Montana for nine weeks and we had a carload of baggage. So we would have been forced to live out of suitcases for a week and to line every square inch of limited floor space with bags. The result—a hazardous obstacle course, problematic for 72 year-olds navigating frequent nightly bathroom trips and recovering (husband) from recent knee replacement surgery. Immediately, we attempted to contact Sarah, the owner, but she was out-of-town and inaccessible by phone. We spoke to Larissa, the caretaker, who was sympathetic but had no authority to do anything. In addition, we found The School House depressing. It is a cluster of shacks in a run-down area facing a yard with (what looked like) rusting farm equipment. We opted to leave the cabin out of safety concerns. Four days later we heard from Sarah. She fired a hostile email snapping— no refund, caveat emptor. We lost $1800 but learned a painful lesson. Don’t stay in school. We give this rental an F.

Beautiful!

What a wonderful little cabin! Everything was clean and perfectly laid out. Sarah thought of everything for our stay. She even gave us an itinerary to help us with Yellowstone. The cabin was only a 30 minute drive to the North Entrance of the park. It is also close to many other beautiful site.

Cozy and historic with all modern ammenities

The Old School House was amazing! It had everything we needed with a charm we hadn't experienced in any other rental. Sarah has thought of every detail. The entire place gives you a connection to Montana and its history making it that much more cozy. When we come back to Montana, we will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cabin at the base of Emigrant Peak

I traveled to Paradise Valley for a business trip, but Sarah's beautiful school house made it feel like a vacation! Very relaxing/comfortable home with a creek nearby to fall asleep to. I will be back!
