We aim for 5 stars, so this review is disappointing. Being on the ground floor does allow for people to walk by the on the grounds, but it’s also super convenient and you can run outside to see whales, the sunset. I think had we been on the second or third floor, then we may have been dinged as this guest would have to walk up stairs. Hopefully you will find a different place to stay if you return to Princeville and find that something we don’t have. Catherine

Glad you liked your stay. We’re holding off on a/c because it’s generally not needed. When the doors are open, there’s a nice breeze and the nightly temp is generally cool (check the weather forecast for verification). We had the problem with the salt and pepper and, after your review, we brought this to the attention of housekeeping who said they would be make sure it’s there in The future. Catherine

Abhishek, thrilled you enjoyed your stay. This property has so much to offer, from shuffleboard, basketball, tennis and pickleball, two hot tubs and, of course, a great pool. We love that you can look out and see the ocean from the kitchen and living room. We hope can come back.

Hi Ed, the lack of a baking sheet and a corkscrew should have been brought to our attention as we could have ordered them for your stay. Be mindful that we have purchased these items many times for the condo and they are items that disappear…. We don’t k ow why. We can’t help if we don’t know your concerns or problems. Catherine

We replaced the telescope with binoculars. Some things like wine openers, and glasses frequently disappear, we hope these stay in the condo so our guests can enjoy watching the whales in the spring. Thank you for your positive review and hope you return and check out the binoculars :)

Surprised, hurt, and greatly disappointed by your review. Apparently you find the “dated” whatever to be more important than the ocean front view and front row seats to watch the whales swim by. We go the extra mile for our guests and try to make their stay as great as possible. We strive to get 5 star reviews because who wants to stay at a place that has 4 stars? We have a fantastic rate and sometimes that means not replacing the fridge every 3 years which may have a little rust from being so close to the ocean. So, perhaps that’s dated. I’m sorry you found our condo “dated”. I hope next time you visit Kauai that you pick a modern place more suited to your liking. Catherine

Shortly before arrival, this guest notified us they did not have a rental car. I urge them to get a rental car. The condo is 1 mile from the Princeville beach and 1 mile from the Princeville shopping center which has a grocery store and a number of tasty restaurants. There are several restaurants within .5 miles. There are other closer beaches too, but the residential town is on a cliff and it’s a hike down to the beach. We’ve had other guests stay without renting a car, but they are the intrepid travelers who enjoy the journey and the adventure. Kauai is not a great destination for anyone who doesn’t have a car and wants convenience. Kauai was not ideal for this guest…. I would suggest she go to Miami Beach next time.
