OP HET OCEAANHUIS MET SPECTACULAIRE UITZICHTEN

Deze mooie woning we Stonehaven noemen is sereen, afgelegen, toneel, zonnig, ruim en gelegen op een een acre bebost veel - slechts een steenworp afstand van de kust. Als je loopt, wordt u begroet door het spectaculaire uitzicht op de oceaan. Op de eerste verdieping is er een grote slaapkamer met een kingsize bed en een petite / eigen kamer met een tweepersoons bed.

Lopen in de woonkamer en er is een kathedraal plafond met ramen van boven naar beneden en een futon die comfortabel slaapt. Ga naar boven naar de ruime loft met twee aparte bedden, een met een trek twin bed. Er is genoeg ruimte om te zitten en een film kijken. Bij vloed, kijk uit naar de oceaan en je voelt alsof je op een cruiseschip .... zonder de heerschappij natuurlijk.

Acadia National Park Schoodic Point biedt wandel / fietspaden, kajakken, en het prachtige landschap; schilderachtige dorpjes, winkels, studio galeries, restaurants, jachtclub, golfbaan, en werken kreeft havens, walvissen spotten, cruises en kreeft & clam bakt; Alle langs rustige zijwegen van het schiereiland. De thuisbasis van de wereldberoemde Schoodic Arts Festival, International Sculpture Symposium, en Hammond Hall centrum voor podiumkunsten. Er is zelfs een veerboot naar Bar Harbor (als u er alstublieft zeggen Bah Hahbah anders mensen zullen denken dat je vanuit het zuiden) als je voelt dat je moet de vrede van Schoodic vertrekken.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a great time and enjoyed our stay. We were only able to stay for a couple nights and will have to stay longer next time. This was our first ever trip to the northeast and absolutely fell in love with the views.

The house is very well appointed, with dramatic ocean views and very good privacy. The house is spacious, the bed in the master was very comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful--clearly a properly maintained property. We wanted a place to relax, as well as see Acadia national park. Stonehaven was perfect! It is a wonderful house in a great location that our entire family enjoyed. And the owner, and his neighbor who helps out, were fantastic! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely stay in Maine on the coat

Our group was a family of three generations ranging from 20-80. The house was very clean and was perfect for our stay. We checked out Acadia, nearby fishing villages, and the Schoodic Peninsula. It felt remote yet close to what we wanted to see at the same time and the views are beautiful.

Wonderful Place

Albeit our stay was too short, the view and closeness to the ocean alone were worth it. I highly suggest opening the hopper windows so you can hear the waves crashing from inside the place. We arrived on a Friday and left on a Sunday. Although it rained on Saturday, the experience made the place even cozier. It gave us full license to just relax and be. Naturally you can get provisions, we did buy some fruit, wine, cheese and crackers as well as ingredients to make a big breakfast at Winter Harbor Provisions. But there are nearby places to eat. We ordered pizza one night from The Wrinkled Pickle, which also had live music and a trivia night. We did make a fire in the fire pit on Friday night. Easy to do as Tom provided firewood. In fact, the owner's guidebook is quite helpful so be sure to check it out. It has directions for most everything you'll need and some recommendations to boot. I'd highly recommend everyone driving the Schoodic Loop as its so close by. I am already missing the place as I type.Some very minor suggestions - possibly update the games available. Most of them are outdated. Love to see Sorry, Battleship, and Chess, etc. And upgrade the single-ply toilet paper.

Beautiful!

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful home and visited Acadia National Park, including The Raven’s Nest which was a recommendation by the owner, Tom. Just stunningly gorgeous! The house is lovely, has everything you could possibly need or want and the views are amazing. Tom is a very accommodating host and the neighbor, Bill, is a very nice man that is available if you have any concerns at all. We just loved it, only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Will definitely be back.

Spectacular Ocean Home

We experienced a little slice of heaven in this amazing ocean-side home. Tom was a great host and provided us with tons of information about the home and all about the area. We were excited when we had a rainy day one of the days so we could relax and enjoy reading, doing a puzzle and watching the waves roll in. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful stay at Stonehaven!

Although it offered more space than needed, I was attracted to the photos in Stonehaven's listing by its proximity to the sea and, my favorite, tide pools! Stonehaven delivered on that and provided so much more! On entering I was immediately struck by the beautiful view, cleanliness of the property and overall warmth and welcoming vibe. The location feels wonderfully remote but there are neighbors adjacent to the property which is bordered and sheltered by Maine's tall evergreens. Stonehaven can offer blissful solitude but is also well suited for groups and families and fully equipped for any Down East vacation activity. Tom is the consummate, thoughtful host! Even before arrival he sends a detailed guide to the property as well as suggestions for activities, sights, restaurants and shopping (don't miss the Winter Harbor 5 & 10, like walking back into the '50s!) I took many of his suggestions and thoroughly enjoyed them. I highly recommend Stonehaven for any stay on the beautiful Maine coast. I'm looking forward to returning, next time with my daughter (who lives on the "other" coast in Santa Monica) to explore tide pools together!
