'vanaf de snelweg kom je direct aan bij de ingang waar je de auto parkeert (beveiligd). dan word je naar het park gebracht. bij de prijs dachten we nog, best duur maar het is volpension en het meest geweldige, je krijgt je eigen gids toegewezen die tijdens het hele verblijf tot je beschikking staat. Wij hebben heel veel geleerd van Dennis en het was geweldig om zo de vakantie te beginnen met zoveel informatie over de natuur en andere zaken van costa rica. De skytram was leuk maar niet...

'Hotel bonito, en medio de la naturaleza, cerca del Río Sarapiqui. Habitaciones e instalaciones cómodas. Todo limpio y bien cuidado. Tiene un restaurante muy bueno, especialidad en carnes, aunque todo lo que pedimos estuvo muy bien. Desayuno bueno, variado, aunque quizás podría ser un poco más abundante. Es lo único a mejorar. Buen precio. Familia de monos aulladores en árbol cercano. Senderos para caminar dentro del hotel.'

'Excellent location to spot monkeys and birds from your breakfast table! Must have 2-4 HR tours you should book “best chocolate tour” (200m from hotel) and Finca Sura ananas tour incl lunch 2.5km from hotel. Friendly staff! Kids friendly they love it!'

'Zeer mooi hotel, hoewel je vanaf de straat een andere indruk krijgt. Het hotelgedeelte ligt in een tropische tuin achterin. Mooi zwembad en veel beesten te zien vlakbij. Wel krakende bedden.'

'Midden in het bos, hele relaxte sfeer tussen studenten, vriendelijk personeel en hele leuke gids! De slaap lokatie is ook prima en schoon. Veel dieren gespot op de mooie wandelingen. Eten wat de pot schat en dat was prima! Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad!'

5 buitenzwembaden, ligstoelen bij het zwembad

'We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. '

'Fantastisch gelegen naar het park, een luiaard kn de boom naast de receptie, een toekan in je tuin bij je kamer. Meer kan je niet wensen. Via de enorme hangbrug kan je nog een fantastische wandeling maken. De kamers zijn basic, maar goede bedden. Wel beetje gehorig.'

'It’s a fantastic lodge in the middle of the kungör. The cabins are very rustic, but has electricity and a private bathroom. Wi-Fi in the public building. Good food, wine and beer in the restaurant. Nice tours in the jungle and fantastic personel. If you don’t expect a five star hotel, than you get a five star experience.'

'We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you ! '

'This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. '

'My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. '
