This was a good place overall. The pool outside of our room was awesome (in family section) and the room overall was great. The Bavaro beach was the way to go- great sand and lovely water! If you want to stay on the beach- don’t stay at the family princess section. You need to take a “train” from family section to the beach. They said it runs on Dominican time, but we honestly didn’t have to wait more than 5 min when we wanted to go. Otherwise it’s a 15 min walk. The family section could use some repair.. tiles missing on steps and in kids pool. My daughter cut her toe and foot twice on missing sections. My son has an allergy. Not allergy friendly at all, as most people at buffet don’t know if it contains the allergen or not. I didn’t love the food at the buffet and food at dinner was slightly better. At the dinner restaurants we told them of the allergy but one place made a mistake and I’m glad I am vigilant about it. It’s reasonably priced for what you get. If you opt for “shared transport” for airport transfer note that you are going with other people from other hotels. You may be making multiple stops which means it’ll take longer. Note: family princess section does not mean platinum. You can upgrade to platinum once you get there for more dining options. Only food trucks were option for family princess if down at the beach. They said it opens at 11 but really opened at 12. Their menu was more limited then what they advertised.
