Hotel has potential but needs to do a better job communicating with guests when they have issues. Multiple issues with hotel room when first arrived. Hotel is nice but needs to be better upkept for the price we paid for it. No water in room one day. There was no communication or response to why or to try to switch rooms to address this. Door of room in first room given looked like it had been broke into, super slow response to switch rooms. Took multiple calls/visits to desk upon arrival. Staff was pleasant throughout trip. The food choices never really changed. It wasn't bad but wasn't great either! We were there on New Years Eve and they did have a nice, unique menu at the buffet that day. This hotel wasn't horrible by any means but should never have an 8.0 relating on Expedia. We would give it a 6.0 mainly due to the poor upkeep of rooms and lack of communication when there were issues. If we had paid 1/2 of what we paid it would have been more appropriate in a value sense. We enjoyed our time there overall once we finally got things sorted out. They offered to give us upgraded status for free on a future trip but we decided that we would not stay again at the resort but did speak directly to the manager to commend a few staff members who where wonderful to us and to maybe help the resort to improve for future guests.
