'My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Il Giardino del Rio and enjoyed every moment. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns. The best thing about the inn, however? Proprietors Davide and Enzo, and Adnan. Each one made us feel like family. We already miss them!'

'Abbiamo soggiornato in questo albergo dal 25 al 27 gennaio e ci siamo trovati benissimo. "Wat een prachtige overnachtingsplek bij heel fijne mensen. Pete en Jools ontvingen ons hartelijk, we voelden ons heel welkom. Ze waren steeds bereikbaar voor suggesties en advies, maar respecteerden zeker ook onze privacy. Dankzij hun hulp was een probleem met onze auto snel verholpen! Zo'n vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, bij wie we graag terugkeren. Dit verblijf biedt al het nodige comfort en het uitzicht, zowel vanaf het terras als van bij het zwembad, is fantastisch. Hier geniet je ten volle van rust en ontspanning, maar ook van heel wat mogelijkheden om erop uit te trekken. Superschattige honden en katten :) Kortom een zeer aangenaam verblijf in een prachtig landschap, een aanrader! "

"The house is basically good for a quiet stay at Abruzzo for maximal 6 persons. The private pool is very nice, but after years it would need some maintenance to the floor. We loved the privacy you have at this accommodation. We booked via Vrbo and in the specification was indicated there was air conditioning. This is one of the features we filter on when searching for a holiday home in Italy in summer. But there is no air conditioning in the house. At 35 degrees+ makes the bedrooms very warm. There is a semi mobile airco in the pool house but is working very limited. During our stay we had no water from 7:30 am till 7:30 pm, this quit long and makes the stay sometimes a bit inconvenient. Maybe due to the trouble with the water the showers were not operating very good during the period there was water. But, we had a very good stay and with some improvements to the climate control, water supply and some maintenance it will be the perfect stay for a holiday in Ambruzzo. We want the thank Barrie and David for their very pleasant help and service the offered. "
