Lovely Lake House
This is such a cute home with lots of character and being able to step out the back door and be right on the lake was so nice. It had all the amenities we needed and there is a convenience/bait store close by as well if you need to pick up anything. We spent most of our days fishing or exploring some of the state parks that are close by. Had such a lovely time that we are already talking about coming back for another trip.

Belated Family Christmas

Our family of six adults really enjoyed all the space we had to spread out. The kitchen is large and the dining area is Lars also. The kitchen could use a little updating and I gave the host a couple of suggestions for things that might need to be fixed….. overall we would definitely return.

Football Weekend

Very nice property. Grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks, swimming and fishing. I got to spend family time with my siblings who live close by. Only wish we could have stayed longer ( school schedules dictated this). The appliances are a little outdated but nothing we couldn't handle. Melanie was very responsive. Will definitely return

Our car broke down about four miles from the house on a Sunday afternoon. We were verging on panic, even after we ordered a tow truck because we couldn't figure out how to get to the house. I called the property owners and they sent a family member to pick us up and brought us some food because everything was closed. So happy.

This house is spacious, clean, and well equipped. A unique feature is the screened porch which overlooks a large lake, making it another ‘room’ for playing games, reading or just relaxing at the end of the day. The house has 2 king bed master bedrooms, as well as other sleeping spaces, so lends itself to gatherings of friends or family. Communication with the owner is easy and friendly.

absolutely awesome stay. our grandson proposed to his girlfriend on the dock (she said yes!!). beautiful home and yards. watched our Florida State Seminoles beat LSU!! very accommodating. we are avid fishers and caught lots of fish.

This house is as advertised. It has a wonderful lake view and the owner very kindly sets you up with little things like hand soap and toilet paper. Small things that equal you feeling like they want you there. The screened porch is where we spent most of our time. I would have liked it to be a little cleaner there but this is a very nice property and we had a great time! The lake is just gorgeous and there was never a bad view!

Location, Location, Location
This review is concerning the issue of wheelchair accessibility only, which is important to me since I am disabled and either wheelchair bound or walk with a walker. If you've read the other reviews, you know that this place does indeed consist of a nice house sitting on an incredible lake with lots to do. However, in two locations in their description the owners say that their place is "wheelchair accessible". One location states: "Wheelchair accessible, Front entrance to house has a 2 inch max lip to entrance door." First of all, there is indeed a 2 inch max lip from the front stoop to the front entrance to house; however, there is a 6 inch step-up from the ground to the front stoop, neither of which are "wheelchair accessible." Second, there is no bathroom shower or tub which could be considered "wheelchair accessible". Third, the beautiful screened-in porch is five steps above the house level, which is prohibitive for someone in a wheelchair. This is a beautiful property, please don't diminish it by overstating its Amenities, which is critical to a disabled person. We asked you to change your advertisement, but apparently you did not.

Making Memories
Spacious house. Family of 7 (5 adults, 2 littles) had plenty of room. Screened porch was an added bonus. Sunsets are beautiful from there or the dock. Upon arrival, I had to contact host for lockbox code for house keys and to kayaks. It wasn’t entered on our booking. One of the tvs in the bedrooms was busted. Hot water heater for the bathrooms had to be reset a few times. Melanie has purchased a new one, but hasn’t had time between rentals to install. These concerns were relayed to Melanie; communication was great. Husband and son took boats and both had a place on the covered dock. Fishing from the dock was good. Caught catfish, bream, and shellcracker. Caught a turtles too. Caught bass out on the lake.

From beginning to end, it was fabulous. The home and pics are just as described. Comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. Fishing, kayaking, and relaxing on the porch. Great Home Away from Home
My husband and I and other couple had a very nice stay at your rental home. It is spacious and the rooms are laid out nicely. The kitchen was great as far as space was concerned. The cabinets and drawers need to be purged of pots, pans, oven mitts, etc. that aren't usable. All in all, it is a wonderful place to stay. It's close to Walmart in Quincy and a fairly short drive to Tallahassee. Will rent again.

The home is great for family or friends to gather for outdoor activities (walking, fishing, etc.) Inside is just a fun. From games to cooking you will have a blast! The sunset view from the pier is one of best on the lake.

We've been coming to this same property each March for years. Great place with lots of room. The grandkids love "their house" = the screen room. Great home base for fishing the lake with all the amenities we need.

Fishing, friends and fun!
Our stay (for 2 weeks) was wonderful, absolutely loved the house, it was perfect. I brought my boat, so we fished and toured the lake by water, we had guests for a few days and had even twice as much fun. Our visits to Tallahassee were busy and well rewarded with great food. We are already planning another trip for next year and will definitely stay here again, a WONDERFUL place to stay!!!

Weekend stay for daughter graduation at FSU
Place was nice about 30 -40 minutes from FSU. It was clean and nice. Had a bbq grill so we were able to grill and celebrate daughters graduation. There were kayaks and fishing pools to fish. Nice relaxing, fun time!

Overall this was a terrific stay! The only reason that I cannot give it a 5 star rating is that the dishwasher was broken. That makes it tough over Thanksgiving weekend and for the duration of my stay. Melanie did communicate the situation just prior to my check in. The communication was terrific. Other than that it was quite pleasant.

A Perfect Vacation Spot
We recently had the pleasure of spending a long weekend at this lovely vacation home. Our only regret is that, due to our own time restraints, we couldn’t stay longer. The lake was easily accessible. We brought our own kayaks, but the host had 2 available if needed. The beds were comfortable, and the living space large and inviting for meals and family game time. We had come to town for an FSU football game, and campus was a short 30 minute drive on good roads. The host was responsive to any questions and easy to communicate with. There were multiple seating areas both inside and out to enjoy the peaceful setting and/or lively conversations. We were traveling with our 2 adult children and their spouses, and each couple had a private retreat for relaxing. The entire experience was a 10 + out of 10!

Perfect Family Reunion
This home is perfect for a family gathering. Large common room with plenty of chairs, beds were heavenly. We never left the property except to get groceries! Our fishing stunk - but it was the fishermen 😂! Would go back again if the opportunity arises.
