'Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures was a wondeful place to stay for our visit to Quito. It is located in a great spot to explore the old town on foot, with easy access to the basilica as well as the various plazas and many places to eat and shop. However, the true highlight is definitely the manager Hernan! He is a warm and lovely host that is full of knowledge and is eager to help you enjoy Quito. The breakfasts were also very nice, local cuisine with fresh fruit juices. Highly recommend!'

'The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast delicious. This hotel was also in as great location! You have to use common sense at night time because the area becomes a little unsafe, but it’s perfectly fine during daytime. '

'Room was very clean, charming and comfortable. Interior of hotel is quiet. Rooms on front are much more exposed to street noise during the days. Hotel was very accommodating and arranged for transportation from airport and on to our next destination in Mindo. Breakfast was cooked to order, plentiful and delicious. We ordered dinner one night and it was excellent too. Rooftop offers gorgeous views. '

'Very nice inn like hotel. Room was spacious and clean. They sent staff to meet our taxi and walk us to the hotel. Nice dinner and breakfast. The room are filled with tapestries and darker wood and colours so thats a different vibe than a modern hotel. Front desk staff very pleasant. '

'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

'Great location-just 1 block north of Plaza Grande (as hotels.com says but contrary to what Google maps say as of today: and you'll need to tell cabs/ubers/...). My room was quite quiet despite of being right downtown. The people running the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I'd certainly stay at Casa Colonial again.'

'Loved the hostel. Has the historic rustic vibe. Have daily events and walking tour on board schedule. In or around the old historic town. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor.'
