Dear Stephanie/Amy,This feedback is intended for you to improve using my experience for your next guests and to protect your brand, The Hostery.First off, this is a CAT HOUSE.It is very obvious from the first sniff. The whole family smelled feline urine. With two with semi-serious allergies, this was a daily battle with Claritin/Benedryl etc. I think you should tell folks to avoid serious disappointment and health issues. When I rent a place with a Hot tub, Fireplace and Desk, I expect to be able to use them immediately. Having a 99 degree ‘warm tub’ for two days is unacceptable. There was no time to keep going back and forth on hot tub controls so we NEVER got to use it. Not having a fireplace lessened the holiday mood. Your dining room and living room seating capacity do not match your sleeping capacity. You advertise that you sleep 12. You do not. Fortunately my family is 10 so we all had a bed. But you CANNOT advertise 12 when there was no pull-out sofa bed or extra bedding.You also provided No extra blankets for the 5 rooms.I had to Clean all cookware and utensils before using.I bought:Can openerFirm pillowServing pieces Bowls/platesStemless wineglassesTissuesShower productsIt’s Fall; Gutters are full.I was sweeping every day, a hand blower would have been great.Bathroom outlets do NOT support blow dryers and GFCI is non-existent. No dressers for surface area and storage.No mirrors. Main floor right sink barely runsIce maker bad
Just one of several dirty and inoperable kitchen tools. I had to replace this can opener with a new one and buy additional pantry supplies including aluminum foil, parchement paper, Clorox wipes, paper towels, ziploc bags, etc. Dissapointing.
The gutters were FULL of leaves. It didn’t matter how much I swept the decks, they kept falling from the house gutters. Obviously no one had cleaned them in a while and it became my burden and fire hazard next to the fire pit.

Great location, great communication, large house

This house is very centrally located in CH and is across the street from a great cafe/coffee shop (Coco). It is a large house with plenty of parking and room to spread out. Communication was super fast and helpful. It is a house that has been lived in quite a bit with wear and tear around the edges. But, for a quick stay it functions quite well for a group.

Perfect house for a multi family group

We enjoyed our stay at this home. Check in was easy, the house was stocked with everything you’d need and plenty of extra linens/ blankets/ trash bags, laundry detergent etc. our family of 4 with 2 small kids and another family of 6 were comfortably accommodated while in town for a wedding.

Great weekend stay for our group

We really enjoyed the house during our visit to Chapel Hill. The theee main bedrooms provided the adult couples a comfortable place to sleep while the lower level rooms and rec room were ideal for the teens. Located very close to INC as well as retail stores and restaurants made our weekend even better. Hosts were very thorough with the check-in details and responsive to a text question I sent the second day.

This place is all as advertised. Perfect location for camps and all activities at UNC. Also perfect location for anything in Chapel Hill. The property manager is very responsive and was great during our stay. Highly recommend this place!!!

Great location, comfortable space and good amenities for 7-8 adults and family gatherings. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property! Wonderful to have the hot tub during the cold snap. Steps to the entry were a bit difficult for elderly visitors, and the downstairs needed a space heater during the very cold weather.

Each adult had their own bed and plenty of baths to share comfortably. Great family room for socializations and kitchen/eating areas for sharing. Everyone had a great time. Would come back to this house in the future.

Convenient spot for a large group

Would highly recommend this rental! We were a large group, but had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. This location is great for vacationing, as it’s near restaurants, hikes, UNC, malls, grocery stores, the airport, and lots more. And everything was decorated in a very pleasant style.

Wonderful Home and Location

We had eight people stay over a long weekend, the home was clean and provided everything we needed. Our group have stayed in a number of vacation rentals and all agreed this was one of the better stocked and best locations. The host was very responsive. We highly recommend this rental.
