Top family holiday resort!
Everything is as good as in the deskription and the reviews! Everything is clean and new. Fantastic view from both the house and the very big garden. We were 4 children aged 2, 3, 4 and 5 and 6 adults and we all had a perfect vacation. The is space for all - including privacy. The pool is perfect! Very convenient with bars, restaurants and a supermarket in the area.

Mega Aussicht riesiges Haus
Ein toller sauberer Pool und sehr nettem Vermieter..mit grandiosem Weitblick über den See Die Zufahrt ist etwas abenteuerlich und mit dem Van schon sehr tückisch das fehlt vielleicht in der Beschreibung. Der Garten ist riesig und weitläufig und eingezäunt und bietet genug Platz zum spielen. Das Haus ist riesig mit genügend Platz und Bädern die Küche ebenfalls sehr groß. Es fehlt eine traditionelle deutsche Kaffeemaschine und ein elektrischer Wasserkocher aber das ging auf dem Gasherd auch sehr gut👍 Im alten Holztisch waren ein paar Mitbewohner aber alles nicht dramatisch. Die Fenster haben alle Fliegengitter die Mücken waren dieses Jahr leider unerbittlich. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub

Very well tended and cultivated house and garden, quiet neighbourhood. Almost everywhere wonderful view to the lake. House and kitchen is well equipped, all in very good condition. The hirer is very friendly and helpful and can always be reached at the mobile phone. We did enjoy our stay time very much and surely we will return. We really can recommend it 100%.

Stay in Ranco
The property itself was in great condition, very clean and was very comfortable. It had all the amenities you would need for a weeks stay. The views from the villa were beautiful, with seating for dining indoors and outdoors set up to get the best value of these. Thank you to Sebastiano, for making our stay so comfortable. They detailed visitor guide you compiled gave us great information of where to go and what to see in the area as well as the great tips on where to eat! We will be visiting again in the future.

Sehr schönes Haus mit einem traumhaften Blick auf den Lago Maggiore.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und jederzeit erreichbar. Leider gibt es für deutsche Urlauber keinen Fernsehempfang und der weite Weg hinunter zum Pool bzw. wieder hinauf zum Haus, war etwas beschwerlich, da das Haus auf dem riesigen Grundstück am Hang liegt.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm sorry you couldn't find german channel on the TV but we never advertise we offer satellite TV but only Smart TV where you can find many German broadcast. In any case I will do my best to improve house facilities for ONLY german speaking guests. Concerning the 68 Mt walk to reach the pool (acceptable distance also for an old person like me) we unfortunately can't change it. To have the pool a little bit far from the house assures calm and peaceful to other guests staying in the house. This was my thoughts when I built it and positive feedbacks confirm this point of view.

Sympathisches, schönes Haus, grandiose Lage
Schönes großes Haus mit familiärem Ambiente - (wird auch von den Besitzern als Ferienhaus und Familienbegegnungsstätte genutzt und ist daher persönlicher eingerichtet und keine reine 'Katalogeinrichtung'.) Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war nett und unkompliziert. Schöner, tiefer Pool, Tischtennis und Tischfußball im Keller. Der Koch-Wohn-Essraum mit Kamin und tollem alten Tisch ist luftig und angenehm, bodentiefe Fenster auf zwei Seiten mit tollem Rundblick auf See und Berge. Zu Fuß 15 Minuten vom Ortskern oder auch See mit ein paar Restaurants, der Strand in Ranch selbst ist so mittelprächtig, aber zum Schwimmen gehen oder Ausgangsort zum Stand-up-paddeln ausreichend. Ranco hat einen kleinen Bootsverleih, da bekommt man u.a. Tretboote oder kleine Motorboote, die man ohne Führerschein fahren darf. Ganz nett ist auch das nahe liegende Angera (5 Minuten Autofahrt) mit guten Restaurants direkt am See.

Marvellous Maggiore House
We had a wonderful time at this house. The location was perfect and the views from the property superb. In many ways the website photos do not do justice . These were strange times to be travelling but we found no problems with any of the local rules around Covid 19 and social distancing. People were very respectful. The gardens and pool were immaculate. Il Molo the bar by the lakeside was a lovely watering hole and reasonably priced. The house facilities were very clean and well provided.Perhaps one useful addition would be a measuring jug as we did some baking nevertheless our Ciambelones turned out very well ! There are plenty of local villages to visit and a trip to Switzerland is worthwhile. The table tennis and table football were much used ! It would have been good to be able to work the air conditioning properly as the weather was very hot. We were warned about the mosquitos which was entirely justified - dawn and dusk are to be avoided. The local pharmacy was very helpful in providing medication and anti bite creams ! Sebastiano was very helpful answering our questions and concerns leading up to this holiday and was very reassuring about preparing the house prior to our visit. We had a great time and a memorable experience. In these very constrained times of a pandemic we should acknowledge the efforts of all concerned. Graham

Fantastic house with an incredible view of the lake
Sebastiano is an extreme nice host and very welcoming. We enjoyed the week a lot with the fantastic view over the ‘Lago Maggiore’. The garden is unbelievably big an extremely well maintained. The pool is a bit further away from the house, but also this gives a nice feeling of privacy. We would definitely come back.

Schon beim Eintreten in das schöne Ferienhaus haben wir uns willkommen und wie zuhause gefühlt. Das gesamte Haus war ein Genuss. Alles sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet. Der Garten einfach herrlich und natürlich der Pool. Alles sehr gepflegt. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr gut, wir konnten nach Bedarf telefonisch Kontakt aufnehmen. Der Hausmeister hat mit dem Rasen mähen sogar gewartet, bis wir das Haus verlassen haben. Und nicht zu vergessen der Ausblick auf den See, einfach fantastisch. Roswitha und Familie

Amazing views
Great property for our family vacation of 7 adults. Sebastiano and family were extremely helpful buying food for us in advance as we had a late flight and the shops were closed the following day (Easter). Check in check out was all straightforward. We loved the location; beautiful grounds and views of the lake and mountains. Our only disappointment was not being able to use the pool as it was out of season, which we were not aware of when we booked. Inside the property is well appointed and equipped. The only helpful addition would be a coffee table in the lounge area. I would definitely recommend this property.

Thank you Marc for your positive feedback and above all for your suggestions. I actually realized that in my home rules there was not written the opening period of the swimming pool. I really apologize for that and I immediately arrange it. I should also say that nobody in the lake region (near the Alps) would never open their pool in April, the most rainy month with an average temperature of 12-14°. But it's true that there was a lack of information. Looking forward to hosting you again in Ranco.

Das Hause und der Garten sind sehr groß und schön. Nur der Pool ist zu weit vom Haus entfernt, wenn man kleine Kinder dabei hat für die man am Pool doch so einige Dinge benötigt.

Sehr schönes und großes Ferienhaus
Wir verbrachten mit 9 Personen den Urlaub in Ranco. Das Haus war aufgrund der Größe, Anzahl der Zimmer sowie der Grundstücksgröße optimal um einen Urlaub mit vielen Personen zu verbringen. Bezüglich der Sauberkeit sowie der Zusammenarbeit und Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter gab es absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Check in, Abreise und alles rund herum funktionierte reibungslos. Der hauseigene Pool ist wunderschön und auch für viele Personen von der Größe her absolut ausreichend. Wir können das Ferienhaus aus voller Überzeugung weiterempfehlen.

The house was very well equipped and we enjoyed our stay very much. The pool and garden were very good and we could enjoy them all by ourselves. The view from the house was beautiful. House was convieniently located close to the village, the lake and for example supermarket. It was very easy to make day trips to places like Stresa, Orta Lake and even Switzerland. Sebastiano, the owner would also give us good tips for discovering the surroundings. Also the housekeeper was very helpful, if we had something to ask for. We could highly recommend this house and would also like to come there again.

Totally recovered and relaxed within minutes!
In short: One of the best Location we have ever been. Everything you need is nearby (supermarket, restaurants, cafes etc.). But honestly there is almost no reason to leave this beautiful place with its amazing view over Lago Maggiore! The pictures do not even get close to what you will find here. To me the most important indicator for a good stay is how long it takes to feel home and relaxed. In this Place it just takes minutes. We will come back and thanks to Sebastiano and Guido for all their support!

Ein sehr schönes sauberes Haus. Mit super schönem sauberen Pool. Vermieter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist immer jemand da, falls man was bräuchte (Hauskeeper wohnt nebenan und kann gerufen werden). Es ist eine voll ausgestattete Küche vorhanden mit allem was man braucht (Kaffeemaschinen vorhanden). Sehr schöner Blick auf den Lago Maggiore. Haus/Garten genau wie auf den Bildern.

Großzügige Villa mit riesigem Garten und tollem Pool
Wir haben im September 2017 zu 9. (unter Freunden) eine Woche im Haus von Sebastano verbracht. Schon im Vorfeld gab es durch die gute Kommunikation mit ihm keinerlei Probleme (er spricht fließend englisch) und auch vor Ort war er ein super Gastgeber. Das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen durch die Bilder sogar noch übertroffen. Der weitläufige Wohn-/Essbereich mit Seeblick ist super für eine große Gruppe. Der Garten ist riesig und der Pool mit dem Blick auf den See ist wunderbar. Ranco und die Umgebung bietet weniger tourostische Attraktion, aber wir haben die meiste Zeit am Haus verbracht. Ein Ausflug nach Mailand ist von Ranco aus kein Problem. Danke für den super und unvergesslichen Aufenthalt :)

Excellent, quiet and beautiful
I'm somewhat reluctant about telling people about this place - it will make it more difficult for us to return! Anyway, the pictures of the house and extensive gardens do not do justice to the property, view or the idyllic location. The owner, Sebastiano, could not have been more helpful and we will be returning either to this house or others that he owns. There is someone who lives onsite but I did not see or hear him - although I presume he must have mowed the lawns and tended to the garden at some point. We visited a number of places around the Italian lakes during our stay - and if you are looking for peaceful surroundings and a relaxed time away from home then Ranco is the place to be.

Fantastic villa, beautiful location. Loved it!
My family and I stayed in this beautiful villa for two weeks, from 8th – 22nd July 2017. The villa has everything we could have hoped for, lots of space for our four teenagers to spread out in and really lovely open plan family seating areas (for lounging and dining) for us all to be together at meal times.  The gardens and pool are gorgeous and we spent most of our two weeks here with only the odd day out and about sightseeing. We ate in for breakfast, lunch and dinner almost every day, with a family of 7 to feed this was by far the easiest and cheapest option. The BBQ was pretty much always on! There are table tennis and table football tables down in the basement which we made good use of, with the basement also being the coolest area in the house. The facilities in this villa really are great, there is loads of space, the five bedrooms, with three en-suite bathrooms, were perfect for the size of family and meant there was no queueing for showers required. Seb (the owner) is very friendly and gave us lots of suggestions of places to visit and to eat.  Ranco itself is lovely, the small bar on the water (Bar Il Molo de Ranco) is a really nice place to visit any time of the day or night, with live music on at weekends and occasionally on week nights. The staff were very friendly and the drinks very reasonably priced. Just watch out for the mosquito’s on still evenings.  There is one small shop (delicatessen) a pharmacy and a couple of restaurants. These are all within walking distance of the villa. There are a few different local supermarkets – within a five minute drive of the villa. We swam in Lake Maggiore on a few occasions, our favourite spot being a little manmade sandy beach in Ispra (five minute drive from the villa). It was a quiet little haven with a small café and the beach allowed easy access into the lake.  We spent a day in Venice (a three hour drive) and a day in Rome (an hours’ drive) – both definitely worth a visit however take your walking shoes and lots of patience. They're very, very busy. We absolutely loved Lake Maggiore and what really made our holiday was the villa – absolutely perfect for our needs with amazing views of the lake and the mountains.

Ruhige Lage, schöne Aussicht, toller Pool
Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und hat gehalten, was die Fotos versprochen hatten. Der Hausbesitzer ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als Highlight des Anwesens sind definitiv die Aussicht auf den See und der Infinity Pool einzustufen, der ca. 150 Meter entfernt im unteren Bereich des Gartens zu finden ist. Ranco ist für einen ruhigen Familienurlaub sehr gut geeignet. Fußläufig ist das Angebot an Läden und Restaurants sehr überschaubar, allerdings ist man mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten in Angera oder Ispra.

Fantastic villa on the non-touristy side of Lake Maggiore
The property in Ranco is a perfect place for a family holiday. The house is well equipped with a huge garden and wonderful swimming pool. My 6 year old son really got the hang of swimming during the week in it. The views over Lake Maggiore are great, and it benefits from being on the south side of the lake so the restaurants during our visit in June were not packed with tourists, just locals. Great restaurants in the area, particularly in Angera which is a 10 minute drive, though staying in with a glass of Piedmont red and some meat on the barbecue was exceptional. Sebastiano, the owner, was very helpful and a great host. One very minor request would be to have some fans/AC for the bedrooms as even in late May/June it was pretty hot/humid at night. Overall, highly recommended, particularly for families with kids as the pool is a real bonus.

Late Spring in the Italian Lakes
The views from the villa over Lake Maggiore were wonderful. The gardens were well kept and were complemented by the garden furniture which we used for breakfast every morning, most often to the call of a cuckoo. The villa was clean, well-appointed and all the rooms were spacious, with shutters to reduce the heat during the day. It was situated well away from any noise of traffic but only a ten minute walk from Ranco and a short drive from a well-stocked supermarket. The swimming pool was secluded and free of leaves or other garden debris. It was furnished with a parasol and sun loungers on a clean tiled surround. All in all, the villa was ideal for a relaxing family holiday and proved to be a good base from which to visit places of interest on and around the lake.

Belle espace avec très belle vue sur le lac et les Alpes, super avec des enfants
Très bel espace à vivre dans une maison qu'on sent habitée (voir la bibliothèque par exemple). Les photos ne mentent pas du tout, notamment pour la vue, ce qui est tjs un risque quand on prend une location par internet. Nous sommes venus en famille étendue avec 4 enfants, et ceux-ci se sont littéralement éclatés (intérieur comme extérieur). Départ des ferrys à Ranco mm (prévoir une voiture pr ceux qui n'aiment pas marcher en côte au retour, ou si poussette) pour explorer le Lac. Début mai est toujours risqué, nous avons eu des jours superbes comme d'autres plus ingrats. Avoir un bel espace reste donc un plus ! L'aéroport de Malpensa à proximité (attention ce n'est pas le cas pour Linate) permet d'esquiver l'essentiel des bouchons des milanais venant pour le we. Le propriétaire est charmant et disponible pour des conseils.
