Ein sehr schönes familiär geführtes Hotel, sehr freundlicher Empfang und immer Auskunft auf Fragen zu Ausflügen oder die Umgebung. Wir haben uns die 2 Tage sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein sehr schöner Abschluss unseres Urlaubs.

Escaping the regular check-out without to pay the tourism taxes and parking fee was intercepted and obligated from the security to come back and to pay. Reception and common areas are protected by security cameras 24/H day. MGH Staff

Watch for extra fees
The hotel was a good value but they charged me extra for parking even though it was included in the booking. When I contacted them to correct the issue, they eventually agreed to credit my account; but they never followed through. That left me with a bad overall opinion.

Fake reviews have proliferated in every area especially in online booking systems. This man in example was refunded for 20 Chf, this refund was also confirmed from his bank, even though have entered this fake review, why? Why do travelers write bad reviews? - When are full of interior problems; - When do not have enough money to enjoy the holidays; - When travelling in expensive countries without any cognition where they are; All of these issues raise the stress level and the hotel cannot help this kind of clients when they are not cooperative and friendly guests. We provide our best service and the best possible price and we like to be as friends with our guests, but of course we need money to pay our bills, the banks, the taxes and our staff. We are a professional and efficient work team with great dignity. Errors are possible but we are here to arrange the right solutions! Thanks a lot MGH

Never again! Look for a better place.
Check in was a disaster, met by a very unfriendly, aggressive and arrogant host! Had I not made advance payment, I'd have run away to look for another place. The a la carte menu at the reception was not available in the restaurant which we learnt when we sat down for dinner. The website promised bottled water, dark curtains and internet but nothing was available. Internet was available only in the common areas. I always travel around the world but this experience was the first of its kind! The stay wasn't pleasant, eventhough the family of the owner was very nice!

Bad location but nice hotel
This hotel is not in Zermatt but in Randa which is about a 16 minute train ride from Zermatt. This means added cost and lost time whenever you need to go to town. That said, the hotel itself is good. The room was nice and clean with nice balcony giving a good view of the snow capped hills. The owner, Maurizio Monticelli, is a real character who does everything in excesses. Excessively friendly, excessively funny, excessively funny and excessively everything else. We dined at the restaurant where he cooks himself and the food was, again, excessively delicious. The breakfast was a let down though as there was really not much of a selection and what was there was all packaged stuff, nothing made fresh apart from the coffee. Another thing was the almost total lack of WiFi. This is an area that could be improved on. I was a little disappointed in that the booking mentioned a 10% discount on the food which Maurizio blatantly refused to honour. However, he made it up to us by offering us a free ride to the railway station at Tash to catch a train to Zermatt at our departure. All in all, a different experience from the norm but a pleasant experience. Enjoyed our stay there.

Rustikales Hotes, sehr angenehm.
Man wird freundlich empfangen, es hat sehr gute Küche. Alles ist sauber, gut geheizt, Parkplätze rund ums Haus. Es gibt einen Pistenshuttle, ein schönes Skigebiet außenrum und heuer hat es auch viel Schnee. Und man wird auch wieder freunlich verabschiedet.
