Hi Brittany, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: - We strive to provide our guests with a great experience during their stay, so we were disappointed to hear your feedback and want to take a moment to address your comments. - As soon as we were made aware of your concerns, we promptly responded and sent our cleaning service lead back to the home. While you were present, using a blacklight, she confirmed no lingering urine on the mattress or bedding. It is also important to note that the bed has a waterproof mattress cover and can confirm the mattress was not soiled by the previous guest. With no detectable odor or soiling, purchasing a new mattress seemed unjustified. As a compromise, we offered sanitizing treatment and credit 1 night. Alternative beds were available in the home if you did not want to use that specific room. Unfortunately, you made the decision to end your stay unless a new mattress was provided. Multiple guests have stayed in the home since your departure and no issues of an odor have been reported. - We strive to quickly resolve any problems to guests' satisfaction. However, no evidence supported fully replacing the mattress in this case. We attempted to address your concerns reasonably and regret we could not reach a mutually agreeable resolution.

From the Guest Contact: "Sandra, we completely understand your frustration with the moths. This year we had a particularly heavy migration of the Miller moths that lasted about two weeks. Your party came in during the tail end of that period. Our cleaning crew would have vacuumed all flooring before your arrival but during that period we noticed moths would again accumulate between cleaning completion and guest arrival. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there was no place within a 100 radius that was moth-free this year."

Hi Joe, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following: - Unfortunately, except for the broken air conditioning, these complaints have only been expressed post check out so we weren't able to address them while you were in residence. - Kirk, owner and on the site property manager, checked in daily to ask how you stay was and if you needed anything. - He explained that the hail storm earlier in the month was the cause of the broken window (it's important to note the window is not broken on the inside, only the outer pane) and the hail damage has been assessed by our insurance adjuster and we are scheduling window replacement and a new roof. - Yes, our property is near the highway, which is why it's extraordinarily accessible to multiple attractions in the area including Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Bear County and so much more. - The photos of the property illustrate exactly how it looks so that guests can decide if the appearance of the house fits what they're looking for in their vacation home. - Unfortunately, this season we have been dealing with a musty odor that flares up some weeks more than others. We have had it professionally inspected, it's not harmful, and are working on ways to mitigate it. We have an ozone machine on the property to neutralize the smell when needed. We apologize that we did not have this available during your stay. - We recognize that the AC is a significant comfort issue and we worked to address this situation as quickly as possible. The unit is high quality, ductless AC and is suited to cool the entire upper level. The lower level walkout remains around 70 degrees and does not require AC to keep cool. Many guests prefer to have fans for white noise or general air circulation, which is why we have three on the property. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
