Hi Ross, thank you for your review and I’m sorry about your check in experience - unfortunately yours was a one off as we had a bit of an issue with the usual key collection point that evening, which is just around the corner from the apartment. It doesn’t help you sadly, but the check in process is usually extremely easy, offering the flexibility to turn up at your leisure. Great that you loved the penthouse though - it really is a special apartment overlooking the whole of Reading! :o)

Dear Mr Evans, We are sorry to read your comments regarding your stay. We do not usually accept same day bookings for our Penthouses, which was why there was the delay in one of our check in staff being able to meet with you. This is the first time this has ever happened. The cleaning charge is clearly stated on all of our bookings. This is a one off charge, which you pay regardless of length of stay and which all serviced apartment businesses charge for. Our manager tried to call you on six occasions, leaving a return telephone number, for which you refused to answer or return our calls in order for us to discuss the matter with you. This was very disappointing, as it gave us no opportunity to discuss matters with you directly.
