One thing to note if you are bringing dogs is that when you arrive, there is a sign asking you to try not to leave your dog unattended in the house and the info book says not to let your dogs on the furniture. Both are typically listed on the property description and would have been good to know before booking. '

'Great location in Eastham near Orleans. Surf Shack Hideaway is not a shack, but rather a very large uncomfortable house to stay in. Would come back again, especially if managed by Heart of the Cape who kept everything clean and had quick communications.'

There are 11 rentals, each visually different but VERY thoughtfully designed and decorated to allow for optimal personal space in a small setting. They are beautifully updated and extremely clean. 'Kitchen could use a k cup coffee maker and large frying pan. Light bulb on microwave was out. Clock on stove was broken and the stove said hot surface even when it was never turned. Upstairs toilet kept running. Basement carpet had some stains. All just minor things that need attention. Overall really loved the place. Hope to come back next year!'

'Everything was in good condition and suited our purposes perfectly. The unit was cheerful and comfortable for three adults and the kitchen was well equipped for the light meals we had there (note to host: need a couple of potholders and some hooks or towel bars in the bathrooms). We were not there long enough to use any of the facilities so can't rate the pool.'
