Really nice clean property, fully equipped for our needs , however due to its position on a road junction, there was a bit of traffic noise. Sadly we found the bed uncomfortable- perhaps it’s time for a new mattress !

Dommage que la maison soit en bordure d’une départementale passagère et non précisé dans l’annonce, la literie à changer puisque matelas en V, une poêle toute couverte de moisissure ainsi que que le bas de la gazinière et radiateur salle de bain piqué de rouille.

Bonjour, Merci pour votre commentaire, je suis vraiment désolée qu'il y ait eu de la moisissure dans le gîte et je vais m'assurer que cela ne se reproduise pas. Je sais que le radiateur de la salle de bain est un peu rouillé et nous allons chercher à l'améliorer dès que possible. Le matelas a été remplacé et a moins d'un an. J'espère qu'il n'y a pas de rouille sur la gazinière qui a moins d'un mois car elle a été remplacée par le réfrigérateur prêt pour cette saison.

Bonjour Helen, Pour nous ce gite nous allez bien juste quelques petits regrets de ne pas avoir pu utiliser le poêle , pas de bois à disposition pas non plus de prospectus pour pouvoir découvrir la région et pas de sèche cheveux dans la salle de bain. Cordialement Joël

Bonjour Joel, Merci pour vos commentaires Je suis ravi d'apprendre que vous avez apprécié votre séjour, mais il est dommage que vous ne m'ayez pas contacté par mail ou sms au sujet des choses manquantes. Comme indiqué dans les informations de bienvenue, le bois pour le poêle à bois est stocké dans le petit bâtiment du parking. Il y a un sèche-cheveux dans le tiroir du bas de la chambre et des dépliants et guides de voyage pour la région et la Normandie dans le 3ème tiroir de la cuisine. Bonne Journee Helen

Ideal for our short break
We stayed at the gite for a long weekend. The location was ideal for the places we intended to visit. October weather was wet and starting to get chilly, so it was nice to light the wood burner in the evening. Property was very clean, bathroom with decent shower and plenty of hot water. Checking in and out arrangements and information provided were excellent.

We have the most lovely stay in the really lovely gite. Communication with the owner was first class and they were very accommodating. It was lovely to sit outside at the end of the day and look out over the fields. 10/10. We would love to return.

House a cross between Little House on the Prairie and a Wendy House , it was perfect apart from a dog barking in the early hours and road noise and was a great getaway. Small house but with everything required. Amazing very sunny outdoor space and overlooking a wheat field. Beautiful

A delightful property for a couple. We loved the location, it was very clean and had everything necessary for a very relaxing June stay. A little like a "Hansel & Gretel" house, very cosy and comfortable. Super view of swaying wheat from the lounge window...we were smitten.

Beau petit logement pour 2 mais escalier vraiment très raide, un lit plus large serait bien surtout qu'il y a la place. Cuisine suffisante pour faire des petits repas. Très belle salle de bains. Photo d'un barbecue (on avait amené le nécessaire) mais barbecue sale et inutilisable.... Trop peu de luminosité le soir dans la pièce à vivre, nécessité d'un complément. Sinon agréable séjour de Pâques!!! on a bien profité. Merci à Helen pour son aide concernant la TV (pour info il semble nécessaire de changer les piles de la commande d'Orange).

Merci pour vos commentaires, je suis heureux que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour. Malheureusement, nous venons d'acheter un nouveau matelas pour le lit double, mais nous y réfléchirons à l'avenir. Nous ajoutons une lampe en bas et remplaçons les piles de la télécommande. Merci ou prévenez-nous du barbecue, nous réglerons le problème. Cordialement Helen

Pas mal mais il n'y avait pas de gaz pour alimenter la gaziniere electrique , il n'y avait que le micro ondes !!!! Je ne comprends , que l'on puisse louer sans vérifier si il y a du gaz dans la gaziniere ????

Merci pour votre avis, je suis désolé d'apprendre que vous avez eu des problèmes avec le gaz lors de votre visite. La bouteille de gaz n'est pas vide, je ne peux donc que supposer que les clients précédents l'ont éteinte. Certains clients se sentent plus en sécurité lorsqu'ils ne l'utilisent pas. Je m'excuse de ne pas avoir vérifié que le gaz était allumé avant votre arrivée. Si vous aviez signalé le problème (comme nous vous demandons de le faire dans nos informations de bienvenue) nous aurions pu vous indiquer comment le rallumer, ou remplacer la bouteille si elle était vide. Si nous ne connaissons pas les problèmes, nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas aider à les résoudre. Cordialement Helen

As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. Facilities are what you need for a holiday. The privacy of the garden and parking was perfect. Location perfect for sight seeing. Shops where a short drive away. We are certainly coming back...

Das Objekt liegt ruhig und man fühlt sich wohl. Auf der im Gartenbereich gelegenen Terrasse konnten wir die Herbstsonne und dazu ein Gläschen Wein genießen. Ausflüge nach Saint Malo, Mt. Saint Michel, St. Hilaire sowie Mortain (Wanderwg zu den Wasserfällen-TOP) ließen die Woche schnell vorübergehen.

Wir verbrachten 11 Tage in der Pelican Gite. Das Häuschen von Helen erfüllte alles was wir im Internet gesehen haben. Helen hat uns sehr hilfreich mit Informationen zur Seite gestanden. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen. Es fehlte an nichts in der Unterkunft.

Pretty as a picture
The pictures are accurate and the place was lovely. We’d stay again! The bakery is a quick 5 minute walk away. The downside is that there is no restaurant in walking distance but this wasn’t a major issue as we just gathered provisions from the local super markets and ate a cosy meal in at the evening. The gite was just right for us and we slept well even though it was just off the main road, thanks mainly to a comfy bed. We managed to enjoy an afternoon in the garden as the weather picked up and we’d definitely return. The owners are helpful and respond promptly to messages. We’d recommend to others.

Great little place
We only stayed here for a few nights, but very enjoyable. As others have described, although some things are quite simple in the Gite, it has all 2 people really need for a short break. It was cool in April when we stayed, but the gite was already warmed by the wood stove that had been lit before we arrived. We'd previously got of the ferry and headed south through the area and was pleased to be able to explore a bit. The waterfalls and views on the walk around Mortain were great (helped by the English guide leaflet we found at the gite and good weather on the day) although the steep ascents and descents were not fully expected. Also walked around the old town right out on the point at Granville and drove down the side of the bay towards Mont St Michel (best views if you do the drive heading south rather than heading north). All very pleasant and a lovely gite to return to with a wood stove to relax in front of in the evenings.

un petit gite calme et paisible pour travailler
lieu idéal pour un couple sans enfant ou seul, pour y travailler ou découvrir la région. Confort suffisant. j'y ai séjourné en septembre une semaine pour y travailler. Seul bémol, l'absence de réseau 4G dans le gite nécessitant de se rapprocher du village pour obtenir du réseau. Pour le reste, RAS. une boulangerie à 700 m à pied très sympa et de nombreux commerces à moins de 15 mn en voiture, vous avez tout ce que souhaitez, même une station essence ou des corps médicaux.

Perfect gite for two. Ideal position for exploring. Very private.
My husband and I stayed in this lovely gite at the beginning of September 2018 for two weeks. The weather was extremely kind and we loved being able to sunbathe and relax in the private gardens. The gite had everything we needed and Helen was very helpful from start to finish.It is in a very pretty, quiet village. Which is in the perfect position to visit all the beautiful surrounding sights. We would have no problem recommending this lovely holiday home. Thank you for allowing us into your super home.

Beautiful little gite in a gorgeous part of Normandy
Such a lovely little gem. Everything you could need in the most beautiful setting. With a bakery only 5 mins walk away and the world's most comfortable sunloungers we were able to relax fully on a private little garden. Helen was a perfect hostess answering any question quickly. Thank you so much x
