Heerlijke bedden, netjes en goede ligging. Prima!!
Hotel Lotus is een kleinschalig maar heel fijn hotelletje. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. De kamer was klein maar het bed was heerlijk! Ook de douche was prima en voor de dames hangt er een grote spiegel met goed licht zodat je ook echt ziet wat je aan het doen bent. Er is niet veel opbergruimte, maar wij deden samen met 1 koffer en hadden dan ook niet veel ruimte nodig. Het ontbijt was heel erg goed verzorgd! Lekker vers brood en verschillende smeersels. Vers fruit, vis, zuivel en ontbijtgranen. Voor ieder wat wils. En natuurlijk koffie, thee, chocomelk etc. Daarnaast kan je beneden ten alle tijden koffie en thee pakken en er staat ook echt een onweerstaanbaar lekkere cake! Tot slot is de ligging echt perfect voor als je op excursie gaat zonder eigen vervoer. Wij werden als laatste opgehaald en als eerste weer teruggebracht. En als je een excursie hebt geboekt waarbij dit hotel geen officiële pickup locatie is, dan is het Hilton Hotel dat wel en dat is aan de overkant van de straat. En daar zitten overigens ook nog een heleboel lekkere tentjes om te eten. Dus je hoeft niet ver te lopen om lekker te eten en het centrum zit ook dichtbij op 15 à 20min lopen.

Mooie schone kamer. Het hotel is nog maar een paar jaar oud dus alles is zo goed als nieuw. Vriendelijk personeel.

Small and simple but a perfect place to stay
The rooms are small, but clean and tidy. There is a large lounge available for hotel guest, with free coffee and tea 24/7. There is plenty of space to park a car, no extra charge. The location allow for easy travelling in and out of town. From the hotel it is a 15 minutes walk into the centre of town. The hotels biggest asset is the very friendly and helpful hostess. She gave us a few golden tips for sightseeing outside the Lonely Planet. So, if you are looking for a luxurious hotel with the intention to stay indoors most of your stay maybe this is not for you. But if you want a nice, simple place to sleep whilst spending your days outdoors, Hotel Lotus is an excellent choice!

Erg behulpzaam personeel en zeer goed ontbijt. Alles is dicht in de buurt en op loopafstand zoals winkelcentrum, openbaar vervoer en zelfs het centrum van Reykjavik is aan te lopen

Good location.
Very friendly staff. Warm welcome with excellent i formation about surroundings. She was really interested in us. Perfect breakfast. Room was small but with much attention decorated.

Great stay at Hotel Lotus. The only thing that would make it better would be the ability to lower the temperature in the room. From our understanding this is a function of the geo-thermal heat rather than the hotel. Great staff and superb breakfasts.

It’s easy walking distance to the bus. The staff is extremely friendly. The room was extremely clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Highly recommend reserving the room with balcony over the standard room. We stayed here on two separate nights at the beginning and at the end of our trip and there is a huge difference in the rooms. The regular rooms are really small, as is the bathroom. You can make it work but the room with the balcony is a lot more functional for not much more. They are also in a much better location whereas the standard room can put you right at the entrance of the hotel which is a bit noisy. All that said, the location is fantastic for anyone with a rental car, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and everything was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here, both times, even in the smaller room.

Great beds, very good breakfast wonderful coffee machine. All of the ladies I interacted with were wonderful and I have zero complaints. I was also offered an early check in which was great due to the jet lag I appreciate them for allowing me this courtesy.

Super Comfy beds. Great staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast was awesome with a big spread. Would definitely recommend! Smaller parking lot but we found a spot easily. We were here during winter though with less tourist so not sure they were full. Just outside the main walkable city but perfect spot if you have a car :) My husband thought it was his favorite place in Iceland out of the 5 different spots we stayed.

Do not book this hotel. We booked 2 night stay and when we went to check in they sold the room to someone else. Ended up with no room and had to find a hotel last minute at night

Room was a bit small but clean and space was well utilized. Facilities were well designed. Common area in the basement but with a garden walkout. Nice art. Good coffee. A few glitches with the front door but lovely accommodating staff and family that made everything right.

Nice and clean and wonderful staff. The rooms are extremely small. Ok for a couple of days. Decent breakfast. outside of the city proper, so have to take a taxi to the old town. But price is also decent for such an expensive city. Over all we really liked it.

This was the best room we stayed in on our three week trip to different countries. We got a junior suite and it was huge! It was modern and so comfortable. Very pleased and shocked at the size and comfortable chairs and bed.

Stayed in 205 and 305. Very spaious including bathroom. Like firmness of bed and abundance of electrical outlets. Annoying master light switch setup as the bedside reading light cant be turned on by itself once turned on all lights go on too except bathroom yet bathroom light switch is on the other side away from the door. In 205 there’s a missing towel hook. In 305, rain got into the unit from the window. Tech said caused by roof problem.

This hotel is close enough to downtown Reykjavik, but not in the heart of it -- which means it was quiet and not rambunctious at night. Staff are super friendly, and breakfast is top notch. The elevator is a little slow, but I think it's great that it's wheelchair friendly. Parking is super easy. My only hesitation to giving this place 5 stars is that the daily cleaning service doesn't seem to use a vacuum-- we unfortunately had to lug our luggage through gravel at the airport parking lot, so we had some sand/gravel that fell from the bags. They never disappeared even after cleaning service was performed.

The property and staff were wonderful!! Not far from the port, but you would need a car or other transportation to get around. My husband and I both were pleasantly surprised by this property, I had read the reviews but just wasn't sure what to expect. We received an email notification prior to arrival with our code to get into the room and had no issues once we arrived. It's a very modern hotel when you walk in, small but very clean, there are 3 floors with I believe 15 rooms in total. There is an elevator that can be used to take your luggage up or for handicapped access. The room was very spacious, and the shower was hot, there is also a towel warmer in the bathroom if needed, as well as a hair dryer. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were provided by the hotel. The room has blackout curtains and a blind that closed over the skylight so we did not have any issues with the room being too bright while trying to sleep with the extended sunlight hours. It also had a balcony that overlooked an apartment building so there was not really a view from it but it was a nice place to sit and relax if you wanted. I will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Iceland and highly recommend it if you are going.

Excellent hotel, perfect for a post-cruise stay
Very clean hotel, amazing breakfast spread, very comfortable beds, and staff was very friendly and accommodating. We came off a cruise ship at 7AM and were able to leave our luggage while we went on a tour. The lovely staff offered us breakfast while we were waiting for our tour, even though we weren’t able to officially check in quite that early. When we arrived back to the hotel at 7 PM, they had already taken our luggage to our room, which was greatly appreciated after a long day.
