Heerlijk hotel met goede bedden en ruime kamers. Service was uitstekend op alle fronten. De massages van de spa zijn een aanrader. Het dorpje is ook zeker de moeite van het verkennen waard.

Positief: Personeel en service
De accomodatie was al wel in gebruik, maar zeker nog niet af tijdens ons verblijf. Op zich erg comfortabel en vriendelijk personeel. Ook mooie kamers. De logistiek van bijvoorbeeld de schoonmaakploeg en bij het ontbijt kan beter. Er werd nog volop gewerkt. Daar niet veel last van gehad, maar toch wel veel stof en dingen die niet goed functioneerden zoals de lift etc. De zwembaden zijn prachtig. De wellness was nog niet open. Het eten bij het restaurant vond ik minder aan te bevelen. Wat ik wel een bezwaar vond was dat vanuit de kamer die ik had de trappen bij brand erg ver weg zijn en er hing ook geen bord in de kamer met instructies hiervoor. Het personeel is vriendelijk en werkt hard. De omgeving is aan de straatkant niet zo mooi (oa grote supermarkt). De zeekant is wel erg mooi. Dus neem zeker een kamer met uitzicht op zee! Al met al wordt het vast een prima hotel als over een paar maanden de bouw- en technische problemen klaar zijn en de logistiek wat beter gaat. Voor nu zeker niet slecht maar houdt rekening met een aantal zaken.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Wir würden wieder dort Urlaub machen. Sehr nettes, mehrsprachiges Personal. Besonders gute Frühstücksauswahl und ein hochwertiges Restaurant für das Abendessen. Auch die Snacks sind für Mittags empfehlenswert. Schöne Lage zum Beobachten von Surfern und gute Ausgangslage für Tagesausflüge.

Beautiful property. Most rooms have ocean views. Staff were very helpful. Nice to be able to walk to the town. Restaurants close by. Even a supermarket across the street. Also, easy to get from hotel to other places on the island. Would highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The amenities were great and enjoyable after a long day. The buffet breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown and a grocery store.

Absolutely some of the friendliest and most accomodating staff we've ever had. On top of it all, the cuisine at the Terracotta Bar and Restaurant was exceptional whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night room service. The spa/message options and proximity to incredible beaches and vistas only added to what was an absolutely magnificent experience for us. On top of it all, my fiancee is 5.5 months pregnant, and the entire staff always went out of their way to make sure she felt comfortable and had her needs put first. An absolute 5 star experience from start to finish, we cannot recommended Verde Mar highly enough!

Best hotel my Fiancee and I have stayed at. The room and hotel was clean, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even left a cake in my room on my birthday, such a lovely experience. Would love to come back anytime. :)

This was the perfect place to stay - right in the beach, central to everywhere we wanted to go, and the indoor pool, steam room and sauna was a perfect way to end the day. The staff is very welcoming, even bringing me cake and a card for my birthday.

I like the view for the swim pool. I don’t like the garbage can in the bathroom, when you step on it, it fell on your feet. And the middle of the two beds no table, not very convenient. Closet no auto light.

Excellent experience, overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the ocean views are unbeatable. The property is very well taken care of and the staff were awesome—very friendly and accommodating. Ribeira Grande is a bit remote from Central Ponta Delgada, but everything is far away around the island anyway. A rental car is a must in São Miguel and having a car will make your experience more enjoyable all around.

Lovely location, great views. The only thing I found disappointing was the quality of the food for breakfast which was not up to the standard of everything thing else about this hotel. Eg Powdered scrambled eggs are not cool

The hotel is in a good location, overlooking the ocean and withing walking distance to restaurants & shops, free parking. The hotel is quite new and has nice size rooms, well decorated and nice common areas, good spa, outdoor areas. The breakfast buffet was a bit repetitive (we were there 5 days) and it was the same each day. The dinner buffet was not worth the money - nothing was very good. The lunch options were good except hamburgers weren't cooked enough (make sure to ask for well done!). Wait staff were friendly & helpful.

We enjoyed being by the ocean and hearing the sound of thee waves. On a few occasions we saw surfers. A short walk took us to restaurants and the beach. The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful. There are a number of sitting areas inside and outside to enjoy the scenery. Very comfortable rooms, modern and clean. The food very good.

Spotless, staff is amazing, good food, great view, walkable to dining, beach, and town. Recommend this property very highly. Eight of us who were on trip all agree.

Nice stay
Over all a good stay. Rooms were comfortable and updated. The bed and pillows were firm. That is all a personal preference. The room was quiet, never heard a neighbor up or down. The ocean veiw was beautiful. Breakfast was ok. European buffet, if you know you know. Beans, runny eggs and hot dogs. Haha Everyone spoke english. It was very easy to communicate. Small village compaired to Donta Delgada.
