Warm cabin close to town and mountains
Beautiful cabin lots of space. The kitchen is perfect for families. We love to cook so we made meals everyday. Their cabin is fully stocked with everything you need. I highly recommend this place.

Hilltop Hideaway
This rustic cabin was exceptional & has everything you need to feel right at home. Our family of 4 had the best time cooking, playing games, sitting by the fire and going for long walks together. The yard is fenced and super spacious making it a safe and great place for the doggies to explore. The views are spectacular! The neighborhood is nice & quiet. Jennifer the host was so wonderful and super helpful. This place is paradise. We can’t wait to come back!

Awesome Cabin

Great location
We very much enjoyed our stay here, owner was very helpful in making sure our stay was accurate with no issues. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable, and the cabin was very clean. I wish every owner was as nice as Jennifer. The area is beautiful, and the mountain views are not from the cabin as we expected, but you can go down the road where you come in from and the mountain views are great. Owner even told me about an access road that was very nice to drive down with the rented jeeps. It's also a dark sky area so you can see some great night sky stars, down by the gate at the end of the street. We had no issues and is a great place to stay ! Thanks Jennifer.

Perfect Mountain getaway
We loved our week at this property. The house was clean and bed comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook each evening. It’s nice to have a built in heater in the bathroom for those chilly mornings to just warm up that space. We had our doggo with us and even though we had hauled his big kennel with us we didn’t have to unload it as there were already dog bowls and a large kennel in the home. Came home a few evenings to dear sleeping in the front unfenced part of the yard at the house which was sweet to watch them and a herd of Elk we encountered in the middle of the road on the drive up to the property was exciting as well. Easy drive to Telluride, Silverton, Ouray and Montrose. Would definitely stay again.

I should keep this place a secret!
We loved our stay at this cabin. The cabin and location is beautiful and peaceful. The cabin itself is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable. Only thing to note is the king in living room is air mattresses (that were totally comfortable) I just messed up and did not request them from beginning as I assumed it was a sleeper sofa. The owner was so incredible she took no time at all responding right away when I had questions. We did not have any issues or complaints. We skied every day in Telluride which was only about a 50 minute drive from the cabin. We will definitely book this place again if available when we come back.

Perfect cabin for your next family getaway!
This property is perfect for someone wanting to get away and enjoy the peac and quiet of the mountains. The cabin owner, property manager, and maintenance man was the BEST. They made sure we had everything we needed no matter what time. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly want. On the property is a snow hill and they provided sleds! I would love to go back and stay in this same cabin during a different season to be able to experience different activities.

Perfect cabin in a perfect setting
This cabin and the surrounding outdoor living space was simply perfect. It felt secluded even though it was in a neighborhood and the fenced yard was so nice for our little dog. This was the most well-stocked property we have ever rented. The property manager was very prompt and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the showers were very nice. We drove extensively around the surrounding area/towns as well as hiked several times, and I can honestly say the view on the dirt road to the cabin was the most spectacular we saw on the whole trip.

We recently stayed at The Rustic for 2 months while home searching in the area. Both the owners and property manager were incredibly helpful and made our stay wonderful, in addition to the high quality and well stocked home. New Year’s Eve
My family drove up from Colorado Springs to ski and snowmobiling. We enjoyed the sledding Hill next to the cabin. We got about a foot of snow in one day. The cabin was clean and had everything you needed for a stay. We were a little disappointed that we didn’t have a back deck and stairs( under construction) and it was about an hour and a half from Telluride.

Quiet, Peaceful and Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at this property and the reservation, communication and check in processes were so easy and questions were responded to very quickly. My husband and I along with my brother and our niece visited the area to mainly hike and check out all the area has to offer including Ridgway, Ouray and Telluride. Ridgway was the perfect location to explore all of the above without spending too much time traveling from one town to the other. The house was very unique with its decor and was so welcoming, comfy and cozy. It was supplied with everything anyone would need in the kitchen right down to spices, condiments, zip lock bags and foils to teas, coffee filters, sugars etc. The views on the way to the house were amazing and the house being off the beaten path amongst the pines and aspens was most relaxing. We would definitely stay here again should our travel plans bring us back to the area.

Colorado tour
This place is very unique. Everything was very clean and we’ll equipped. The beds were comfortable. The fans were a bit squeaky and it is a 6 mile drive on a dirt road to town but it wasn’t bad. Overall it was very nice and comfortable.

Exceptional Mountain Retreat
We had an incredible relaxing time at this wonderful mountain retreat. The home was set up for everything you could need, including a great fire pit, kitchen with all amenities, and a wonderful drive to get to the home. We went four wheeling in Ouray and Telluride and close by at the State Park for fly fishing. The views in this area are wonderful the tiny little town of Ridgeway is great! We would love to go back again and highly recommend it.

Home is beautiful, comfortable. Kitchen has anything you need to prepare a meal, great seating space inside and outside. We loved it! Neighborhood is quiet, we took dogs for long walks just in the area. Close to Ridgeway, Ouray, only hour to Telluride. Great hiking - we hiked Highland Mary lakes and Mt Sneffels, enjoyed hot springs in Ouray. Beautiful week away.

This place is a wonderful spot. Don’t let the name “Rustic” fool you this is far from that. The large spacious kitchen is a cooks paradise along with the fire pits makes this a great self-sufficient hideaway. The critters coming through the yard are a plus!

Beautiful stay in the Mountains
This home exceeded our expectations. This cozy house was perfect for our family. We fully enjoyed the view, saw deer grazing as we enjoyed our morning coffee, and stargazed at night. Not only was the home perfect, but it was in a great location between Telluride and Ouray. We were surprised with Ridgway as well. The city had everything you need! The home was very clean, and had everything you would need and more. Jennifer was very prompt, and answered any questions we had immediately. I left my purse, and she priority shipped it to me immediately! We cannot wait to return!

The property is beautiful. We chose this home for the enclosed fence for our two dogs. Unfortunately, the fence had a large section that was down which we didn't notice until we saw our dogs walking down the street outside the fence! There was an issue with cleanliness as well. There were dead bees inside the property, urine on the toilet seat, food under the kitchen cabinets and on the dining room carpet. The property manager was prompt in coming to the property to take care of the cleaning issues but not without copping an attitude and becoming quite defensive because she had to drive an hour to get there. I would have cleaned but there were no cleaning supplies to do so. Unfortunately, her attitude in my opinion was unprofessional and unwarranted and something I didn't deserve. When I took the bed linens off the bed as requested upon leaving, there was a live bee inside the pillowcase which I was using to sleep on so I am guessing there is a bee issue within the log home....that really freaked me out. With all that being said, they have thought of everything for your stay....especially food items since the home is remote, about 10 minutes to town on a long dirt road. We were grateful they had included these items, coffee as well. The home owner located in Texas was extremely pleasant and helpful and I appreciated her apology and effort to make everything right for our stay.

As we discussed on the phone, someone came to the cabin to make a delivery, after the cleaning crew was there and they used the restroom before leaving. We have not had this happen before and we will do our best to make sure we never have this issue again. The property manager was very frustrated about the situation and not at you. We apologize if she came across less than professional towards you in anyway. We have also taken action on your concern with the couple of bees in the master bedroom. The property has been thoroughly checked inside and outside. We are happy to report we have no sign of bees. We hope you will visit again. Kind regards The Rustic

Luxury home in a “rustic” rental
We had a wonderful visit to The Rustic. Every last detail has been thought of... in the decorating and the supplying of the kitchen with everything you might need. Adorable. Really enjoyed the outdoor space and am trying to order the same chiminea because we loved it so much! The San Juan mountains are incredible... and just around the corner. Awesome spot!

Great family experience!
We could not have been more impressed with our experience at The Rustic. We wanted a winter and snow vacation, but we are not a skiing family. The Rustic fit the bill perfectly! Who needs the hassle and expense of a ski lodge when you have your own sledding hill right outside? The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We never had a problem preparing our own meals, because the kitchen was fully stocked with all the legitimate cooking utensils we needed; not just a couple of cheap pots and a spatula. There were even plenty of spices and condiments on site, so we didn't have to buy and waste more. The cabin had every kitchen appliance you could need on such a trip, plus plenty of games to keep the kids happy when they got tired from playing in the snow. And when all else failed, the Wi-fi was strong and reliable. The location of The Rustic was great. It's less than an hour from the airport in Montrose, and less than 15 minutes from downtown Ridgway. Talk about beautiful! On every trip we saw a new and spectacular view. We also made easy day trips to Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride. It was great to have our own retreat in the evenings, where we could light a fire in the chiminea, make our own s'mores, and stare at the beautiful night sky in peace and quiet. We also went to Disney World not long ago, and our kids are having a hard time deciding which was more fun: Disney or The Rustic. Seriously! Our family can't wait to return . . . maybe in a different season, just to see what it's like.

Perfect Spot
The Rustic was a beautiful getaway in the San Juan Mountains! It was a short drive to Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, and Montrose, yet secluded enough to give a relaxing mountain getaway with all the luxury of a high end home. The views were amazing!

PURE PERFECTION
We feel so privileged to be the first guests at The Rustic! It was absolute perfection!!! First of all - you cannot beat the location - it was close enough to town, but also secluded enough to feel like a real remote retreat. We day tripped to all kinds of places (Ouray/Telluride etc). The neighborhood sits right under the San Juan mountains, so no need to go anywhere because the immediate subdivision is spectacular. The house had literally every single thing we could think of! Every time we needed something we looked and found that the host had already thought of every detail. It became a joke "I wonder if they have a X ( you fill in the blank-crockpot, paper plate, etc) here?" Then we would all say - "of course they do!" The decor was spot on. Lighting in the bathroom was excellent. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. There were cozy blankets, a smart TV, a nice washer and dryer - all the modern conveniences. The deck was amazing for long group conversations and solo sky watching. There were even views of the stars from bed at night!! And most of all - it was very home-y! The wifi and cell were great - even my 15 year old daughter was content! We were all so cozy and happy that honestly - no one wanted to leave. This was a REAL TREAT!! Thank you!!
