However, We are terribly dissappointed to know that your stay at the SailorsRest Riomaggiore was not to your complete satisfaction. Regarding your comment about the cutlery set available, it seems really very strange because no guest has ever raised this issue. We provide a complete set for 4 people which includes fork knives and spoons. As for your complaint about the window, I have to contradict you. In fact, as x our online photos show, there is a window and I can't understand why you wrote that. We always welcome constructive feedback as an opportunity to improve our service standards and facilities, however, We believe we are highly capable as remarked by the vast majority of our guests and reviews of delivering the right level of service standards. We would like to clarify that the room is not a basement but a real firsheman lodge like how clearly and truthfully our name expresses and for the benefit of other readers our private terrace is only few steps away from the room (certainly less than 50), as remarked by the vast majority of our guests and reviews. The private terrace is a treat that only our guests can enjoy! The room has windows and it is not true that they are no accessible. This is also demonstrated by the photos in our online ads. Finally, We are sorry you didn't find the approach and kindness of our staff that has been so many times witnessed by other customers. We are dissappointed to know that your stay at the SailorsRest Riomaggiore was not to your complete satisfaction. For what concern the Wifi we have invested time and resources to improve the quality of our Wi-Fi signal but, as in all the villages, when the weather conditions are not good the line finds difficulties and often doesn't work but this doesn't depend on us as you can imagine. Unfortunately, the infrastructures are not adequate to the guest needs. But be sure locals get the same discomfort every time it happens. We are also very concerned to learn that you experienced some discomfort about the kitchenette. We want to reassure you that such feedback is critical to us and we are most thankful to you as it allows us to continually strive for service improvements, but from your review, we can not understand what kind of problem you may have had since we have recently installed a last generation induction cooker. Are you sure you have followed the instructions to use it correctly? We take great pride in providing high standard service and it is most concerning that you did not find this to be the case. As for your welcome, We make a lot of effort to get in touch with our guests before their arrival to anticipate their needs and agree the check-in time. We always write an email where we ask to let us know the arrival time and if you reach Riomaggiore by train or car to make the check-in easier for our guests. This service is designed specifically for our guests to avoid any discomfort in finding and reaching the property. Due to the characteristics of the area (narrow streets and few signs) in which we are, welcome you in person at the parking or at the train station avoids any trouble. In your case, unfortunately, being your phone unreachable and had no answer from our email, we were unable to get in touch with you. We also understand that rain is not good but certainly can not be a cause of complaint. For what concern the claning service, as written in our rules on this website, cleaning takes place every 3 days, it includes change of towels and sheets, room reorganization and sanitation of the bathrooms. Clean sheets will be provided on arrival and changed every 3 days thereafter during your stay. We are also very concerned to learn that you experienced some discomfort about our Tv and Safe but no one before you has reported these difficulties in their use. Finally, for what concerns the big climb, We understand, but We would point out that all homes in the old village have the same problem as are built on cliffs overlooking the sea. The locals have become accustomed about that.
