Orbitz was about 20% more expensive than the hotel
Orbitz doesn't have an agreement with the hotel, according to the staff hence charged me the full amount. Orbitz already charged me during booking plus my Orbucks were wasted. I want to have the full amount, orbitz charged me during online booking, back. So far I haven't gotten a response yet. Thank you,

Can’t get any closer to the Riyadh airport than this. A little higher cost than comparable hotels. But the convenience makes up for it. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for other than a layover

Nice hotel close to the airport
The hotel is ideal for overnight stay if someone has a connecting flight st King Khalid airport in Riyadh. The rooms are very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and polite.

Worst Hotel in Riyadh
1) Booked via Expedia but hotel staff refused to honor the booking. 2) Had to pay 500SAR for a new booking for a 5 hours sleep. 3) Hotel's reservations system is from 1800BC as despite of giving them the confirmation no. they said sorry our reservation desk is closed and it is a weekend. Should you need a room pay SAR 850 as we are sold out. Else no room. 4) After 1.5 hours of argument the guy named Sultan, agreed to give me a room at SAR 500, that too after my Saudi friend called him and spoke to him. 5) Expedia is as usual not responding to my refund request. 6) Despite of big rooms the hotel is in horrible conditions. 7) I'm going to upload photos of the bathroom, the floor is full of water and it is dirty. 8) It is 1 KM from the airport but they do not provide an airport drop. The drop is SAR 65/- and at the same time UBER costed me 8.00/- bucks (EIGHT RIYALS ONLY). 9) I wish the staff at the front desk were a little more friendly, the guy said my shift ends in 3 minutes and after 12AM we do not sell rooms (SERIOUSLY?). So if you need room, decide now as I'll not honor the expedia booking no matter what. 10) Riyadh is full of hotels and I believe if you have option avoid this hotel at every cost.

worst housekeeping ever
it been a very bad experience in this hotel , first of all first day i leave the room for more than 10 hours , when I came back i chocked that the no body clean the room , such bad housekeeping service is not acceptable at all even in 3 stars hotel , second WiFi service was very weak , third during check out they was going to charge me for the breakfast and when I check the bill i show them the reservation slip by Hotels.com with free breakfast they cancel it from the bill , newspapers is only for selected rooms , by mistake i pass by 2nd floor i saw newspapers hangs on the rooms doors while there was non in my floor 4th , last but not least & most funny that if you need shaving kit or tooth brush kit you have to ask them from the housekeeping , finally I don`t recommend this hotel at all

A one-night stay in January 2017
We stayed overnight at Makarem Riyadh Hotel in January 2017 for one night as it is close to the airport where we had an early morning flight. The hotel is very close to King Khaled Airport in Riyadh. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. We took two rooms and both were in excellent condition. We ordered dinner and was very good. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay at this hotel and would stay again if we take another early flight.

We arrived in the evening at the hotel,they had only a booking for 1 room instead of two,they showed me that hotels.com only send request for one,but the staff immediately solved the problem. Better than sleeping in the airport
Registration Desk could not find my reservation. It took an hour for them to agree to honor Hotels.com after showing them e-mail on phone. Hotel decor is dated and worn. Rooms were big and bed comfortable, overall clean. Complimentary Breakfast late opening for 6am and hot food was Luke warm. coffee and juice were last thing brought out. Transportation from airport to hotel was puzzle with taxis trying to charge and then give receipts.

Good Location for Airport
The Makarim is the closest hotel to Riyadh airport so if you dont have to go to the city it is the best option. Hotel is very comfortable and restaurant is good although on the three occasions I have stayed there I hardlly seen another person. Hotel pickup service is good although have the hotel phone number handy as my plane landed at a different terminal so missed the driver and had rather worrying taxi driver who did not know where to go.

Clean and high standard
This hotel is clean and to a high standard. It is about 3 KM from Riyadh airport. A very nice restaurant on the top floor with great middle east salad buffet. Good for stopovers.

The Hotel Makarim Riyadh-close to King Khalid IAP
The hotel is overpriced and depressing. It is advertised as five star, but does not even deserve two. Fixtures, fittings and plumbing are old and not up to standard. On returning to my room on the second day of my stay I found that my room hadn't been cleaned even! Wi Fi connection was very weak and completely died for a while. While washing my face the water stopped, and then gurgled back to life. There was a constant noise from the lift or some other machinery throughout the night. There was supposed to have been a bathrobe provided, but none was. Credit card should have been used only for incidentals, but total amount for stay was taken on check-in. Only thing in its favour is that it is convenient for the airport. However, if there was another hotel nearby, I would gladly stay there instead.
