Overall experience was excellent. First time there and checkin was a breeze; staff there was pleasant and helpful as were the bell boys. Staff at area to get your rewards were not pleasant; acted put out when asked questions or for clarification. Used spa services- excellent massage. Omar our waiter at steak house was excellent as well.

The room and casino were very clean and comfortable. We ordered 2 breakfasts from Sweet Tea. It took 30 minutes to receive it. No body was in front of us.

Enjoyed the stay at Gold Strike. Machines were very tight. Same with other casinos in area. Fun trip but came home broke. Win some- lose some. Mostly lost.

They did not have the room I reserved and weren't willing to explain or accomodate. There was no fan in the bathroom so shower steam and odor was an issue. The employee that checked me in was one of the rudest, uncaring people I have ever encountered.

It was a good stay. We had a good time, but there were a few miscomunications among the staff when we were reserving things and trying to pay. Cash is not always accepted. The spa wouldnt let me pay in cash, when I had called ahead of time to ask, and they said they did. Then we called the front desk for an extra blanket, they forgot about us, and we had to call again. Otherwise, we had a good time.

Heavy security - metal detectors and rfid scanner? Made you worry about security, and a small 3 blade pocket knife is now considered a weapon. No bell hop or cart available. Clean room. Lots and lots of penny slots, did find some quarter and dollar machines.

I visited Gold Strike back in 2015. It was a guys trip. Had a fabulous time and it felt like the hotel and atmosphere was great. So great that I said that I would come back a second time and enjoy it with my wife. Well, finally made it back. I'm not sure if the hotel has changed since I was last there or if I just didn't realize it last time around. But the hotel was extremely smoky. Even though they have signs advising people that there is not smoking in the lobby, people were still doing it without anyone enforcing the rule. One particular night, there was vomit on the floor of one of the elevators that stayed there for hours. We ordered pizza from one of the dining places (I think Sweet Tea) and it was absolutely terrible. The cheese and dough was horrendous. My wife and I ate one slice a piece and threw the rest away. There was a stench in our room. I later learned that the carpet was wet by the fridge as it was leaking water. I learned this near the end of our stay so no sense in complaining. All in all, the hotel wasn't the best. But because we came to watch a show that was being held at the Horseshoe that we enjoyed, as well as enjoying the casino entertainment, the trip was worth it. So I can understand it if others go and would not recommend against it. But I won't be going back... ever!

My wife had a health problem while in the resort and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and concerned for her welfare. We were very impressed.

Dirty and sticky floors, towels and bedding.
We stayed in room 2747 One of the pillow cases had something all over it looked like it wasn’t washed. The tile floor in the room was really sticky the carpet also felt dirty and sticky like it needs steamed cleaned or something. We wore our sandals the entire time in the room. The towels looked really dingy or dirty had something on 2 of them. Food service was excellent ordered a pizza it was delicious. We have stayed here several times and this was the only time we’ve had this happen where nothing looked clean. Also had to turn the air on 65 and leave it running the entire time auto would not kick on until it was hot in the room.
