Dit huis in Rockaway Beach is een fantastische, budgetvriendelijke manier om de kust van Noord-Oregon te ervaren. Met een spectaculaire locatie op slechts een steenworp afstand van het strand, ruimte voor zes gasten en alle gemakken van thuis, zult u het hier geweldig vinden!

Dit huis ligt aan de overkant van het strand, op een minuut lopen van gemakkelijke toegang tot het strand en ligt ook op loopafstand van restaurants, winkels en een markt in de stad. Rockaway Beach heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een geweldig verblijf, maar voor meer eetgelegenheden en winkelmogelijkheden kun je naar Tillamook rijden, dat op slechts ongeveer 20 minuten afstand ligt. Dit specifieke huis ligt echter zo dicht bij het strand dat u in de verleiding kunt komen om de hele dag op het zand te wandelen, schelpen te zoeken en te genieten van de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden van de zee.

Met twee slaapkamers (een met een queensize bed en de andere met twee eenpersoonsbedden, plus een slaapbank in de woonkamer) en een badkamer, deze duplex is geschikt voor maximaal zes gasten. In de woonkamer heeft u comfortabele stoelen en entertainmentopties zoals WiFi, kabel-tv, een dvd-speler met een selectie films en bordspellen.

Een volledige keuken heeft alle belangrijke apparaten en alle kookgerei die u nodig heeft om smakelijke maaltijden te bereiden tijdens uw verblijf. Een wasruimte komt van pas als iemand zijn kleren een beetje vuil maakt tijdens het spelen op het nabijgelegen strand.

The house was plenty spacious for the 3 of us and we enjoyed the walkable location. When we arrived we found some spilled ketchup in the fridge and an empty soda bottle from a previous guest kicked under our bed. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom is spacious and has wonderful water pressure and plenty of hot water. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

To begin with, the online pictures and description were misleading. The place is old, the furniture and appliances need updating, there's a musty smell throughout, the wash clothes and towels are old, faded and very thin, and you're very skimpy on the amenities. 1 each of soap, shampoo and conditioner (very small items) for 2 people for 3 nights. No kitchen accessories such as aluminum foil, plastic bags, etc. The location leaves a lot to be desired. And, you charge as much as most places, plus you also charge a cleaning fee, yet you ask us to do part of the cleaning for you. Not cool. In all, not a pleasant stay. I would not go back again.

At this price you will have a hard time finding anything better! Very cute 2 bedroom house right in town and just a couple minutes to walk to the beach. The house had plenty of room for the three of us and could have fit a few more if needed. The full kitchen allowed us to cook a few of our meals so we didn't have to eat out the entire trip and the washer and dryer would awesome for those stinky beach clothes. If I'm planning to go back I will definitely book this stay again.

There is definitely a musty smell that took some getting used to, but other than that we were quite comfy. We were able to cook and stay in for lots of our meals. Lots of puzzles and games for family fun. The beach is just a short walk. It was perfect for our little family. We would definitely rent again!

The location was fantastic, the master bedroom was clean and nice, the rest of the linens ( bedding and towels were stained and or dirty) The pull out couch is broken , the lamp in the living room is broken, and the chairs in the game room were torn badly. We also found black hair on the floors , bedding and towels we had to clean our bed sheets and towels before we could use them

The stay was great, location was within walking distance to public Beaches, quaint one of a kind stores. If you want a no frills place just to relax and spend a great weekend or longer this is a nice older property. Parking is at the door and the garbage wasnt emptied while we stayed but it was still a great relaxing and comfortable stay.

The price was right for this cozy cabin just barely a block from the beach. We enjoy the comfy beds and the living room and kitchen were used alot. I wish there was a guest book we could have signed, and there was really only parking for one car in front, but overall great stay.

We pulled up and the outside of the house was pretty cute! The bush out front needs to be trimmed though, it made it hard to park. The house was super cute walking in and smelt very clean. As we were exploring though we were a little disappointed in the cleanliness. There was sand all over the couch in the living room. The window sills and blinds were covered in dust/dirt and the bathtub/shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. We also didn’t realize it wasn’t a separate house so we could hear the people above/next to us quite a bit sometimes. The walk to the ocean was great and we were close to shops which we also loved!

The smell was awful, we had to go buy a plug in smell and some other smelly things. The master bedroom smelt like mildew. The mop was disgusting so I mopped on my hands and knees. The vacuum did not work. The carpet felt like it has never ever been carpet cleaned. I would not recommend this house at all.

After receiving at least 3 emails regarding the cleanliness of the place, it was dirty & musty smelling. It appeared that there could have been some pressure washing done recently because there were puddles of water on the floor, a pile of plant debris right where the parking spot is and dirty wet spots on the blinds. Only one side of the toaster worked. There was no drain plug for the kitchen sink. There were five remotes lined up on the table in the living room and no info on how to use them to make the system functional. Consequently, 1 of our personal DVDs is still stuck in the TV and we weren't able to get it out. (The woman who lives next door tried as well.) The lock box is very difficult to access and the front door keys are difficult to use. I tried to call Vacasa twice while we were there and wasn't able to reach a live person either time. There is way too much furniture in the bedrooms. Beach access is not across the street and while packing up to leave this morning, I happened to notice that the license of operation for the place expired June 30,2020.

We enjoyed our time at the Captians Cottage, it was close to many of the site we wanted to see with a lot less people. The house was really nice, the only complaint I have is that the coffee maker didn’t work so we bought a new one and left it for other house guests.

We had a great time staying at the Captains Cottage. It was comfy and clean and truly felt like a simple little cottage by the beach. Any issues that we had read about smell have definitely been resolved. The only issue we had was after a long day of driving we waited until 4 to get into the house. However, once we got there, we had to wait outside another hour for the cleaning to be complete. Though we appreciate the work being put into keeping the location clean, we do wish there was a way to let us know that check in would be late. If we would have asked to check in early, there would have been an email and a fee charged. Maybe there should be something similar for having to wait later than the expected time. All in all, I would recommend the Captains Cottage :)

Everything was great except the stale smell in the living room. Carpet smelled terrible. Airing out the room did little as most windows were sealed. The apartment was well appointed and having a new washer/dryer was great.

The main problem I had with this property was the overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. Many of the windows have mold on them and only 3 windows in the house can actually open. The rest are painted shut. The few pots and pans the property has are old and need to be replaced. The stove is tiny. It would have been nice to have a regular size stove to cook on. It took longer to cook than it should because of the small burners. The shower curtain liner had mold on it and was disgusting. I bought a new one to replace the old one and left it in the property. Hopefully they'll get the hint. The location is great and the historical Oregon Coast Train comes by a couple times a day which was fun to see. Loads of fun shops to wander through. And of course, the beach is just a few minute walk away.

We really enjoyed our stay in September of 2018. The house is about a block from the beach and it was really awesome to be able to bring the kids back to the house for naps and snacks in between hole digging on the beach. We had a 2.5 year old and a 7 month old, and it worked out great for us- there was just enough room for a pack n play in the master bedroom for the little one, and the toddler was in the second bedroom. The house is older, but updated, and has a great historic charm to it- that also meant that the doors didn't latch, which was a problem for us since we put the kids to bed around 7, and still wanted some adult time! A flip flop under the door to wedge it closed solved that problem though- so come prepared with extra sandals :-) Great little kitchen, we cooked all of our meals there. The little tourist train that runs by the house never bothered us once, and our toddler enjoyed seeing it a few times. Laundry in the house was super helpful- bring your own detergent or a few laundry pods to be prepared! Overall we loved this place, and will definitely consider visiting again in the future!

This quaint little house is adequate for a family vacation. It has all the amenities needed. None of the three beds were very comfortable but we’re fine for a weeks stay and a grill would have been nice but not an absolute necessity. There were plenty of clean linens and the property is managed by a professional management company. There was a maintenance issue upon arrival that was handled promptly. Ultimately the property is a great location, clean, and has everything needed! We’d stay there again for sure!
