Spacious, cozy place to stay in Rockland
My family really enjoyed staying at this extremely clean, spacious and lovely house. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. 1st floor bathroom with walk-in shower was great for my parents. Nice touches and decor. Kitchen is like new. Easy walk to Main Street, museums, restaurants and shops as well as a Walgreens. Short drive to grocery stores. Owner was quick to respond, very friendly and helpful. We were sad to have to pack up and leave. Staying here made our trip so much more enjoyable than your average hotel room - highly recommend!!!

Perfect for our Vacation
We were looking for a clean, safe comfortable and centrally located 2 bedroom/2bath VRBO for 2 couples. The Beautiful South End met our need. The home is recently renovated and well stocked home. We traveled north to Acadia and south to Portland. We also enjoyed visiting Camden, Samoset and Monhegan. The hostess was very responsive to questions. The only we issue we had outside control of hostess was hot temperatures with no air conditioning. They had fans to allow for very comfortable temp. at night. We were not there during the day.

Nice house in a great location
This was a really nice, well maintained and equipped house, conveniently located a short walk to Harbor Park. We stayed during Lobster Fest, and it was perfect to be able to walk to the festival every day. There were nice restaurants and little shops conveniently located within walking distance, and a short drive to the grocery store. It was a nice quiet neighborhood. While there's no A/C, there are plenty of floor and window fans, which generally were enough to make the place comfortable in the height of the summer heat. We would definitely recommend for anyone looking to spend some time in Rockland.

Anniversary Trip
First- Julie answered my call immediately when we could not get in and gave us immediate access when the code malfunctioned. It was pouring rain and was so sweet. Fixed the code right then and no issues at all. Such a beautiful home with updates and the quiet neighborhood was exactly what we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I highly recommend!

Perfect Maine getaway
If I could give this vacation home 6 stars I would! It is even better than it’s description and everything you could want. We stayed for an extended time and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The home is comfortable, well equipped and charming. There are plenty of books, puzzles, and dvds; comfortable chairs on the porch and in the yard; and downtown Rockland is just a short walk away. Perfect! And Juliann is super responsive all along the way - thanks!

Great Maine Location
We so enjoyed time spent at this bright & beautiful house from spinning records & sipping coffee in the morning while planning our day to catching up on our Netflix shows at night after a long day of sightseeing. The location is a great midway point for many Maine attractions — Acadia, Bar Harbor, Camden, Mt. Battie, Owl’s Nest Lighthouse, Marshall Point Lighthouse, Boothbay, Maine Botanical Gardens, Farnsworth Art Museum and more. FYI - fun food find was Moody’s Diner south of Rockland on Route 1. Wonderful stay
Juli, the owner, is very responsive and easy to work with. This house is wonderful! Very clean, comfortable, and inviting. It’s full of books and games, lots of dvds for movie time, and comfortable furniture for lounging on. The kitchen is super well thought out and well-equipped - great to cook in. Very good sleeping here; the beds are great and the sea breezes perfect. Lounging on the back porch or the Adirondack chairs in the yard made for a nice change of scenery. The location of the house was perfect for morning harbor walks, strolls to museums and galleries and the nightly gelato fix. Possibly the most relaxing and wonderful vacation we’ve had in a long time. We loved it so much we’ve already booked it again for next year!

First family trip to Maine
This was the first time our family visited Maine and we had a wonderful week! We loved the proximity to downtown and the little Sandy Beach. We took day trips to a number of places to explore lighthouses and even Acadia! The house was a great space for our family of 4 and we really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen for cooking at home. Highly recommend!

Beautiful House Close To Everything
My wife and I have stayed here before and loved it. This time we brought my in-laws and they loved it as much as we do. The house is beautiful and has everything you want or need. There is a modern kitchen, strong wifi, and a record player for you to chill out to on that cool rainy Maine day. The bathrooms are updated and comfortable. The living and bedrooms are homey and relaxing. All this and you are a 10 minute walk from almost everything you would want to do in Rockland. If you are planning a trip to the Rockland Maine area, you will not be disappointed staying here. The house is wonderful and close to everything. It is the perfect home away from from home.

Perfect for our visit to Rockland
This property was very comfortable for our 4 family-members who stayed there. (2 parents and our 2 adult children). We used the kitchen extensively and it met our needs just fine; we also used the gas grill. It is an easy walk to downtown. The dinner table seats 6. The beds were comfortable. I would recommend this property.

The cottage was perfect for our family of five. We brought an air mattress for one of our children, but would have been fine without. Juli provides many fans since it was quite hot the week we were in ME. She also quickly responded to issues with the overhead light/fan in the master and upstairs hallway. Overall, was a great space and convenient location to restaurants, the harbor and other sights.

Great home in convenient location
We had a wonderful time during our weeklong stay. Conveniently located close to Rockland center and the ocean which made it easy to walk into town to get whatever we needed and enjoy the views. Trendy, clean stay near the water
Overall our stay was positive. The house has been beautifully renovated and the downstairs flow is great. I wish the cleaning team had also cleaned the outdoor sitting space, but that was easy enough for us to do. Another suggestion would be to buy some more throw blankets for the house as the evenings are still cool in Maine. The upstairs bathroom is better for baths, rather than showers because of the configuration. The property is close to town and walking distance to a lovely path along the ocean. The area itself is a small fishing community which has a mixture of political/socioeconomic beliefs. It was a bit surprising to see the juxtaposition in the neighborhood. All in all, Juli was WONDERFUL to work with!

Sweet and clean
We very much enjoyed this property. It was very clean and well thought out. We arrived late at night and getting the heat to warm up the house quickly didn’t work out so well with the baseboard heaters, but when we woke up the next morning we were perfectly happy with the temperature. The downtown area is a couple blocks away so we enjoyed shopping and eating within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe. I would only suggest maybe putting the heat on low prior to guests arriving just to take the chill off in winter. We would definitely stay again and recommend this nice house.

there is no king bed and if you are tall the main bathroom by the two bedrooms has a slanted ceiling
very large, lots of space in main house for lounging and eating etc. a well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms had electric heat. I would have liked an extra blanket and luggage rack to make my stay a little more comfortable.

The house is within easy walking distance of all the offerings of Rockland and it’s working harbor and shipyards. That includes many good restaurants, fascinating galleries, and the always wonderful Strand Theater. Our owner/host was very helpful and promptly responsive whenever any glitches arose.

Nicely renovated older home. Good quality appliances and fixtures. Well thought out color decoration. Easy walk into town. Quiet for the most part with a minor downside being a neighbor's occassional barking dogs, but on balance not too bad and we would happily stay here again.

Great House! Great Vacation!
First of all the house is beautiful! The inside is updated and very nice! The kitchen is spacious and would be a great space to cook in but we ate out every night. The bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. Second, the location is perfect. You can walk almost everywhere downtown. If you can’t walk it, it is a very short drive. This community has so much to offer, from museums and galleries, to some of the best restaurants we have eaten at. This small city has it all and this house puts you near it all and in a wonderful abode. If you're looking to visit Maine you should stay in Rockland and if you stay in Rockland you should stay here! Charming Place
We loved the location and we're pleasantly surprised at all the fun options within an hour's drive. There were lots of places to see from just walking (downtown or the waterfront). The house was so Maine coast like. I loved the view of the neighbor's out the kitchen window with her flower garden in bloom in front of the side door with the old bike off to the side. With our dietary restrictions, the spacious kitchen was a Godsend, as we ate in a lot. The house was clean and tidy with just enough amenities to be comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. We appreciated all the Maine coast information available. Our 10 night "fall color" stay was wonderful.

Our party of three adults really enjoyed our stay at this Rockland cottage. We found most everything we needed and it was clean and comfortable. This was our first visit to Rockland and we really enjoyed the town and surrounding area.

Great place to stay for our painting workshop in Rockland
Four of us stayed in the house which was close to the studio of our workshop. We found the house spotlessly clean and complete with soaps, toilet paper, detergent, garbage bags, and plastic wraps so that we didn't have to run to shop. We only ate breakfast there as our goal was to enjoy fine Maine seafood sitting outdoors by the beautiful bay. The house was delightful, we only wished for more places to put our clothes and hooks for our towels. An easy fix. There were many books, games, and videos which we didn't use as we were painting all day and crashed early. The owner quickly had the Internet fixed the first morning after we told her we couldn't log in. All in all a great rental.

It was enjoyable.
Our overall experience was positive, however it was clouded by the fact that Maine was having a very unusual heat wave of approximately three weeks and there were no air conditioning units available. There were several fans which helped. The home is comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated, it was very clean.The living room furniture is a little tired and there is no recliner or really comfortable chair. The stairs going to the second floor are very steep but there was a sturdy handrail. The location is excellent only a short walk to the harbor and the downtown shops and many restaurants of Rockland. There was plenty of offstreet parking. The games, music, and many CD/DVDs were available for rainy day activities. There are a full-size washer and dryer and a well appointed kitchen with full-size appliances. Both of the bedrooms are upstairs there is only one small closet available. The beds were comfortable. Juli is wonderful to work with, very available and gracious. Thank you!

Nicely renovated older house
This house has been nicely updated and modernized. The kitchen is especially nice with a large island and spacious feel. The dining room comfortably seats 6 people. The 2 bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. The upstairs bathroom is small. The downstairs bathroom also has a shower which is nice. The bedrooms could use a little more furniture for storage and perhaps hooks on the wall in upstairs bathroom to hang towels. In general, the house had most of the things we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is close to downtown and the waterfront. While this house has been nicely maintained, the house across the street greatly detracts from the appeal of the area. That yard is cluttered with old furniture and things. I was tempted to call the city manager about this. That said, I would recommend this house as a nice place to stay in Rockland, ME.
