Fantastisch
Mooi ruim huis, rustig gelegen. Ideaal voor de honden. Prima uitrusting. Alles wat je nodig hebt is voorzien. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer. Wij komen nog eens terug.

Vriendelijk huis met leuke details
Prima plek om de Opaal regio te onderzoeken. We waren er begin oktober dus het begon al wat frisser te worden. Verwarming was prima. Wat minder was de keuken uitrusting en de netheid van de douche ruimte. Maar overall een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Nice house
Spacious, well-equipped house. Nice owners. We were invited with the children to come and see the animals on the nearby farm. Good beds! Con: the bathroom stays wet and had a bad smell.

Heerlijk verblijf met vriendelijke eigenaresse
Wij hebben in Rodelinghem een heerlijk lang weekend doorgebracht weg van de drukte van de grote stad. Het huisje is ruim en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt en de kinderen vonden de zolder met de speciale kinderkamer geweldig. De eigenaresse is bijzonder vriendelijk en doet haar best om te verzekeren dat alles naar wens is. Bedankt!

Sehr charmantes, altes Landhaus.Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern schnell und gut.Das Bad braucht dringend eine Renovierung.Das Haus ist groß und mit liebevoller Dekoration gemütlich.Es war alles was man so braucht da.Das Beste ist der große eingezäunte Garten.Dichte Randbepflanzug(Hecke,Büsche,Bäume)und eine große Rasenfläche macht das Grundstück zu einem Paradies für Hunde und deren Besitzer:)

Lovely traditional French cottage. Everything we needed for our stay. There was a little confusion with the rooms as the listing stated 3 bedroom and also 4 bedrooms but said sleeps 8. So we were confused. However when we got there there was 4 bedroom. Really spacious rooms. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Un séjour inoubliable dans un gîte formidable. La maison est très spacieuse et jolie, le jardin est incroyable et règne un calme appréciable en vacances. Tout est fait pour qu'on s'y sente bien. Un chouette espace jeux pour les jeunes enfants est prévu au premier étage. Les chambres sont très bien décorées. Nous avons été particulièrement touchés par la flexibilité des horaires de location et de la gentillesse des propriétaires. Nos 6 enfants/ados ont adoré ce séjour et les mamans en gardent un merveilleux souvenir. Nous n'hésiterons pas à faire du bouche à oreille pour conseiller cette location ! Merci pour tout.

Super Unterkunft für größere Gruppen
Das Haus ist groß und mit Allem ausgestattet, was man in einer Ferienwohnung benötigt. Es ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und die Betten sind hervorragend. Allerdings müssen wir uns anderen Rezensionen anschließen, die sagen, dass Bad und WC veraltet und nicht mehr schön sind. Trotzdem ist volle Funktionalität gegeben. Interessant ist sicherlich die Option, das zweite Haus auf dem Gelände zu buchen und mit einer größeren Gruppe zu verreisen. Gut zu wissen: Auf den Fotos fehlt ein Zimmer im EG. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein winziges aber total hübsches Kinderzimmer mit Einzelbett. Also sind im EG zwei Doppelzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer. Im Dachgeschoss sind zwei Einzelbetten und ein großer Vorraum mit einigen Spielgeräten für jüngere Kinder. Die Einrichtung ist sehr durchdacht. Entgegen anderer Bewertungen empfängt der Fernseher ARD und ZDF. Wenn man diesen Ort bucht, muss einem bewusst sein, dass man circa 8 Minuten zu den nächsten Einkaufsgelegenheiten fahren muss. Es ist ein reiner Wohnort. Aber als Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen der Gegend liegt das Haus ideal. Es gibt in unmittelbarer Nähe einen Verkaufsautomaten vom Bauernhof, wo man einige grundlegende Lebensmittel bekommt. Für Hundebesitzer und Menschen mit kleinen Kindern ist das große Gelände sicherlich ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Wir können das Haus weiterempfehlen und würden es noch mal buchen.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt mit kleinen Einschränkungen.
Wir waren für eine Woche 6 Personen und 3 kleine Hunde. Für 6 Personen ist das Haus aus meiner Sicht von den Schlafplätzen her zu klein, da von uns keiner die Schlafmöglichkeit unter dem Dach nutzen wollte, dort ist es eigentlich nicht zumutbar. 5 Personen haben aber gut Platz. Das Grundstück ist super und hat mehr als genug Platz für Kinder oder Hunde, da besteht viel Auslauf. An das Grundstück grenzt noch ein anderes Haus, das ebenfalls vermietet wird. Was uns fehlte sind Gartenmöbel und ein Sonnenschirm, der auch funktioniert. Es ist zwar ein riesiger runder Tisch da und Barhocker, aber es ist schwierig, den Tisch je nach Sonne zu verstellen. Wir hatten trotzdem viel Spass in diesem Haus. Die zweite Wochen waren wir nur noch 2 Personen und 1 Hund, da ist das Haus dann wirklich genial, da für 2 Personen ein tolles Schlafzimmer vorhanden ist. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu den Vermietern hatten wir wenig Kontakt, diese haben uns aber eine Schale mit köstlichen Erdbeeren gebracht.

Le Petit Wissant is a traditional French Gite in a small village close to the channel ports and the Opal Coast. The gite is very quirky as you would expect - main bedroom is huge, second double is cosy but there are two access doors so you don't have to climb over each other. There is a super little bedroom for an older child on the ground floor and an amazing twin children's bedroom up in the eaves. This has a huge play area set up for the children - no so good for adults due to the sloping ceilings. Our grandchildren tend to get up in the night so we thought it was a bit dangerous for them to sleep up there as the floors also had different levels due to beams - other children will cope fine. Everything was in the gite that you could possibly need, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Towels and bed linen are not provided as the norm but are available on request for a reasonable fee and we took this option but you do need to ask. There is also a cleaning fee to be paid. There is good wifi and digital TV but you need to have a knowledge of French as there were no English channels. Alhough in a very quiet and peaceful location, a few minutes drive on roads with no cars you are at the local shops and towns and the coast is no more that half an hour away. Plenty of museums and landmarks to visit too. We plan to return again next year. A great find and a great stay.

Nous avons passé de très bons moments dans cette région. La propriétaire nous a donné d'excellents endroits de visite. Entre autre le dragon de Calais. Audresselles était notre coin "mer" et bien sûr Nausica à Boulogne. Très bon endroit de vacances au calme.

Belle maison à la campagne
Chère Anne- Sophie, Cher Patrick, nous sommes rentrés sains et saufs. C'était un séjour merveilleux à Rodelinghem et vous êtes tous les deux devenus des hôtes merveilleux. Votre maison est meublée avec beaucoup d'amour et nous nous sommes tous très bien détendus. Les enfants se sont également beaucoup amusés dans l'immense jardin et les plages sans fin des environs. Nous pouvons recommander la maison et reviendrons certainement.

Grande maison, sombre et vieillotte
Nous avons passé un sejour de visite dans la famille. La propriétaire a été très gentille de mettre à disposition des accessoires pour notre bébé de 1 an. En revanche le mobilier est très vieux et n'est pas confortable. Les chaises sont toutes très fatiguées et nous avons du détartrer la cafetière car le café a mis 1h à couler, en revanche la literie est bonne. Le terrain a été très appréciable pour notre chien mais n'est pas clôturé comme précisé dans l'annonce. Il y a également un gîte en face sur le même terrain qui n'est pas précisé. Nous avons malgré tout passé un bon séjour

Spacious, clean, everything you could wish for, and more. Great place for families. Enormous garden for children to play safely. Home is in quiet area, but close to lots of places to visit. Perfect weekend getaway
This property was exactly what we needed for our first holiday out since the COVID-19 pandemic began. We wanted to get away for the weekend and enjoy a bit of the area. Mission accomplished! The house is great, very comfortable beds and furniture overall. The weather was terrible so we didn't get to enjoy the patio, but it sure looked nice! The place was great for our 2 small, old dogs as well. Easy access to grass and the place was easy to keep clean due to the tile floor all throughout and no rugs. Since this is the first VRBO we've stayed at since the pandemic, we don't know what may be different. We did mention we didn't have any way to wash dishes and the owners promptly brought us dish soap and hand towels. But we were still lacking soap and linens for the bathroom. We happened to bring beach towels and we used our body soap, so we made it work. Again, this may be a COVID-related change, but perhaps our advice is to ask about linens and/or kitchen stock in advance. First time using an induction oven which was not obvious on how to use. After many attempts at pressing buttons (and googling instructions) it seems it was a matter of pressing the lock button in just the right way and we finally got it working. Perhaps some brief instructions nearby would be very helpful! The owners communicated very well and Patrick even came by to say hi, which was very nice. Our 5-year old daughter loved the attic space to play in (but she didn't sleep up there). The place is well-located to explore the area. The owner even gave us some restaurant recommendations which we did go to one of the recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would certainly come back if we were to return to the same area.
