Our family only gets together once a year as one son and family come from Okinawa. We were incredibly excited for this trip, especially after a great VRBO experience we had last summer. Unfortunately, this stay was an absolute disaster, ruined by a neglected property, an unhelpful local host named Conner, and appalling customer service from VRBO.Upon arrival, it was immediately clear the property is not being properly maintained. The amenities were in terrible shape: the hot tub was a green, foul-smelling hazard, and the pool was filthy with dirty filters and a malfunctioning robot. A lamp above the bunk bed wasn't wired correctly and came crashing down at a gentle touch. The grill was filthy and required scrubbing before we could use it, the dishwasher and the screened deck furniture smelled awful, the lawn was totally overgrown, and the bed sheets were stained. Even the seating was an issue, as there weren't enough working chairs at the bar, and two of them were so structurally damaged and unsafe that we were afraid they would break. There was no table to sit at to eat or play games. When we reached out to the host, Conner, it took hours for him to
