I felt mostly safe at Loly Hotel. As a female solo traveler, that is very important to me. The hotel was clean and modern, like the pictures. The breakfast was filling and had variety.
I would recommend requesting a room on the 2nd floor of the hotel. I was on the first floor near reception and also the alley of the hotel. While no one was noisy or extra loud, there was still enough to wake me up or disturb me. If you are a deep sleeper though, you should be fine. Also, you cant (shouldn't) really open your window on the first floor, as you are ground level and it's not particularly safe with people walking by. Lastly, I found some of the staff to not be very welcoming. Every morning when leaving, I would say good morning or hello and the woman (older blonde) would look at me, say nothing, look back at her computer. This happened every single day. Maybe I am used to warm and friendly welcoming staff, but she was not it. Overall- Hotel Loly is a good value for the money and in a nice location away from the touristy center of Rome. However, I would like to try another hotel next time I am in Rome.
