Voltooid gerenoveerd van boven naar beneden met alle nieuwe keuken, baden en vloeren overal. Geen detail gemist, denken we. 5 slaapkamers (2 Queen op de begane grond met 3 volledige op het lagere niveau). Aangepaste baden op beide verdiepingen, met de belangrijkste met een waterval douche. Open ontwerp in de gastronomische keuken feeds in de eetkamer en den. Geweldige stroom voor entertainment en veel zitplaatsen op het eiland en een extra grote tafel zodat niemand wordt buitengesloten. Net buiten de keuken is een overdekt terras om de geluiden van de beek in de achtertuin en het gedeelte te ontdekken dat is ontdekt om van de bergzon te genieten. Ontspan en kijk naar de natuur terwijl je geniet van een drankje. Als de nachtkoeling begint, gebruik je een of beide dikke kachels om het gezellig te maken, of de vuurplaats buiten. 11 Acres is je speeltuin voor duizenden wandelgebieden voor je wandelplezier. Aan de overkant van de weg ligt het Huggins-meer voor diegenen die bereid zijn om te gaan vissen op forel. Ons huis is gecentreerd tussen de gigantische meerforel van het Pepacton-reservoir en de prachtige brookies en regenbogen van de wereldberoemde Beaverkill-rivier. Keuzes in overvloed voor de visser. Grote cirkelvormige aandrijving laat je recht naar de voordeur rollen en biedt parkeergelegenheid voor een flink aantal auto's. Koop van tevoren en kom genieten! Ook slechts 35 minuten naar Bethel Woods Centre of the Arts en 45 naar het Resorts Casino in Monticello, 10 minuten naar het Catskill Fly Fishing Centre en het Museum in Livingston Manor. Wonderful location, nice house with lots of rooms

We like the place. Both Neil & Eric gave clear instructions and were very helpful. Loved the Catskills, in particular the Beaverkill (fishing & swimming) & the Pepacton reservoir (kayaking)!

What a perfect stay! Natural beauty

We spent a long holiday weekend at this home and loved every moment. The setting is incredible. We saw wildlife, went fishing, cooled off in the creek on property and watched the sunset and grilled evening night on the back porch. Lots of nearby activities but feels really remote in a good way! Truly relaxing. The house is perfectly stocked for anything you would need and the renovated bathrooms and kitchen are really nice touches. Very nice and responsive property manager, and the kindest neighbor who helped us get set up to fish. Would come back for sure.

Flyfishing Getaway!

A group of fly fishing friends decided that our annual getaway would be to the Catskills this year, and we chose this property for our weekly stay. What a great place to relax! The property was private enough that the wildlife strutted through the backyard as we sat and watched and told our fishing stories. We each had our own bedroom, and the bathrooms were on each floor, fully furnished (like the old saying, "the towels were so plush I could hardly close mys suitcase!) We cooked most of our meals, and the kitchen was equipped with quality utensils, pots, pans, coffee. The kitchen cupboard was well stocked with seasonings and other needs. The next door neighbor introduced himself to us and offered us any assistance. The owner had a caretaker who was very mindful and showed responsiveness if we needed anything. All in all, it was a great stay for us. We look forward to doing this again next year.

Solitude and Beauty

Very comfortable country house near premier fishing on Beaverkill and Delaware rivers. Everything as advertised. Next door neighbour very welcoming, allowing me access to his pond. Plus, gave us his venison hot dogs, which we grilled for lunch. What an unexpected treat.

Short stay in paradise

What a wonderful place. Everyone enjoyed their stay, the location is beautiful. Small fishing hole on the property and even the neighbor let the kids fish his pond (great guy). Cant say enough on how much we loved this place even the beds were comfortable. The owners communication was great from check in to check out and made everything easy. Highly recommend. We hope to be back Thanks again for letting us enjoy THIS CASTLE IN THE WOODS.

Great spot, excellent hosts

Everyone had a wonderful time over the weekend! House and grounds are stunning, location is secluded as advertised while also being within a brief drive to (by my count) four great towns. We spent one day swimming under the Beaverkill covered bridge, and the other hiking around Russell brook falls. Owner and caretaker both extremely responsive and accommodating. Will definitely be back again.

Quiet property with plenty of space.

This house is a great size for a family. The kitchen is perfect and allowed us to make several large meals for our family. We hiked Huggins Lake trail which is just up the road and it was for sure a challenging trail being mainly uphill for 1.5 miles but well worth the view. The house was nice and clean. The beds comfortable and plenty of space to spread out but also hang out together. Close proximity to many DEC fishing access and to the Beaverkill. We hope to be back again!

Great place to stay in the Catskills

This house was the perfect place for an October get-away! We had 2 generations - so the layout of the house was perfect. Younger ones had the whole downstairs, 2 sets of parents the upstairs. The kitchen was big and well equipped, great for cooking together - and a large dining room table to gather around. Location was remote and quiet, but towns were accessible. The landscape, especially the trees were gorgeous! Property manager was so helpful and accommodating - even got us out of a jam when we locked our keys in the house! We would definitely come here again!!

Fantastic family vacation

Easy and effective communication with Neil set us up well for our stay. The house is great and was perfect for our family with the 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, and well stocked kitchen. We had everything we could have needed. The property is well maintained and caretaker Eric met me there to explain where to find everything and to give tips on places to go and things to do in the area. We appreciated his suggestions! The house is centrally located and we had easy access to fishing, hiking, and bicycling. We enjoyed the covered porch for our morning coffee and as a place to gather in the afternoons. We used the gas grill for a few dinners, and the firepit was perfect for our evening S'mores. We would definitely like to stay at Neil's house again!

In the heart of Beaverkill Forest Preserve!

Just a wonderful house on a sprawling 12 acres of lush lawn and trees of many shades ..........just a wonderful location.......everything newly restored in a very functional house.......will go again..............five bedrooms are very spacious...........with a downstairs den and living area...........very close to Beaverkill Federal Park Campsite where the mouth of the Kill rushes through the valley and Little Pond Park which has a gorgeous walk around the lake.......for us we have over forty years of camping and staying in the Beaverkill Valley and this was the best yet.

Amazing week!

Our experience at this property was incredible. The owner, Neil, was very personable and helpful throughout the entire process. He put me in contact with Eric, the caretaker, who was also tremendously helpful and welcoming to the property. The house itself was clean, well maintained, and had everything we were looking for. The huge, private yard was perfect for the kids and the dog to explore the beautiful nature around them. The landscaping was picturesque with trees, wildflowers, a fun tree swing, complete with a beautiful bridge and creek. The fire pit made for great s’mores after a long day of hiking and fishing. The location of this property was the perfect mix of private while still having access to all the activities we were looking for. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Amazing relaxing stay , will be coming back!

We stayed at Neil’s property for a week in February , and the experience has been entirely pleasant from the beginning. Neil communicated the directions to the house in detail , and answered any questions I had right away. The property keeper Eric has also been in touch daily to explain the trails , weather and etc to us. The house is lovely ! Very spacious open design living room and kitchen combo space , lots of windows . The water pressure is great , water is clean ( triple filtered) , beds are comfortable. There are plenty of blankets, pillows and towels in the house. I loved that the kitchen is stocked with literally everything you may need , from blender and slow cooker and full kitchen aid machine - to some pasta and beans and teas ( vis a vis policy - replace what you use ). Everything is clean , no smells , no sign of bugs or rodents. The house is next to a beautiful stream , and there are some trails in the property for hiking that we took full advantage off and hiked to the waterfalls. Overall excellent experience , 5 stars ! Thank you Neil and Eric!

Great House, Great Location

The house was amazing, from the moment I booked Neil (the owner) reached out to introduce himself and give me all types of great information and allowed me to ask any questions I had. There was a really impressive amount of communication, he put me in touch with Eric (the caretaker of the property) and Eric was so helpful with getting us there and making sure we found the property okay, even though we showed up pretty late, he waited and had the heat and the lights on for us and gave us a tour of the house to show us everything we could have possibly needed. I can't stress enough how great Eric was, anytime I reach-out to him with a question or advice on something, he would respond in minutes, he's a really great guy. The house is beautiful set and easy to get to if you have the Waze app, it brings you right there. It's stocked with everything you could need, we had young kids and having the baby gates was amazing to keep them confined to the living-room/kitchen area safety. There is no cell service around the house, but there is fantastic wifi in and around the house. Everything was clean and well kept, they take pride in the house and you can tell by the way they upkeep it. There is a huge yard with a beautiful blabbing brook outside, tons of trails too. The neighbor came over and introduced himself and gave us and the kids permission to go on his land to check out a nice pond on his property, also a super nice guy. There are not a whole lot of people living on the street so it's very quiet and there is no light pollution so at night you can see all the stars in the sky while you're having a fire outside. There are two towns near by with ample things to do, restaurants, breweries, hiking and great bbq food. There is an awesome covered bridge right down the road too and with the foliage ripe it was an amazing spectacle. All and All we were really happy to rent this house and will definitely be back in the future.
