We namen een kamer met terras, en die bleek de ganse dag zonnig te zijn in tegenstelling tot de kamers met balkon. Rustige omgeving, parkeren buiten hoogseizoen (juni tem sep) is geen probleem. Super behulpzaam personeel. Het ontbijt is prima, andere maaltijden werden niet aangeboden. Let wel op met de restaurants in de buurt, die zijn niet allemaal even rustig. Roses is een prima uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen in het natuurpark Cap de Creus - naast de receptie staat een handige (reliëf)kaart. Cap de Creus doe je best extreem vroeg in de ochtend. Als je wilt eten op terras in Cadaques best meteen om 13h00 gaan.

Fijn hotel op goede locatie
We vonden het een fijn hotel op een goede locatie in Roses. Dichtbij winkels, restaurants en het strand. Prima kamer, heerlijke douche, eenvoud maar goed ontbijt. We hadden een parkeerplaats voor de auto op loopafstand wat erg fijn was.

A small hiccup later put right.
I made the booking on line without being able to see the room choice. On arrival I was show 'our' room and our hearts sank. Just about room to walk around the bed and a window facing into an interior well. We asked for an alternative room, and were offered at an additional supplement what I imagined was the best in the hotel. Really fabulous. Terrace, balcony, spacious and great decor. Could not have been better! The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful, so our stay turned out to be fantastic. Would definitely be tempted back.

Limpio y cómodo
Todo muy bien, excepto el acceso en coche, calle muy estrecha, el acceso estaba en obras, casi no entramos con el coche, pero las obras se terminan, de lo demás todo prefecto.

Sehr gepflegtes, sehr nettes Stadthotel unweit von Strand und FußgängerZone. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren sehr hilfsbereit. Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder meinen Urlaub verbringen.

Good location!
We certainly enjoyed this quaint hotel and its location. The parking is a problem but we were able to find a good place both days we were there. We enjoyed the balcony and the atmosphere of the area!

L'hôtel est très propre, pas loin du centre, des restos et de la plage. Le petit dej est sous forme de buffet, copieux et bon. On peut même avoir un expresso. Notre chambre était récemment rénovée.

Un hotel reformado, con habitaciones amplias y cómodas y que está junto a la playa. El bufet-desayuno está fenomenal. Y lo mejor del hotel, su personal. ¡Son encantadores!

Un super séjour, personnel et hôtel irréprochable. Petit déjeuner de qualité, l'hôtel est dans une petite rue au calme, mais tout proche de la plage (200 m ) et de tout les commerces et restaurant à pied ( 400 m ) Pas de parking à l'hôtel mais possibilité de se garer à moins de 2 min gratuitement en ville. Je recommande vivement cet établissement...

Although central, situated in quiet side road. Helpful reception for recommendation for places to eat, parking available in garage nearby. No coffee making facility in room but free water/coffee/tea to help oneself downstairs. Found the room a little too warm so opened window (waste of energy). Nice simple hotel with friendly staff - recommended and would be happy to stay there again.

Stylish and spotless boutique hotel, staff
We booked for one night, but extended to three! The kindest staff I've ever encountered, from the four different front desk workers, to the staff at the delicious buffet breakfast, and even the cleaning ladies. The service was exceptional, fast wifi, and again great breakfast to start the day. Just a couple blocks away are two of the tastiest restaurants we sampled in Spain, hoping to stay again.

Premier séjour à Rosas donc à l hôtel Carmen vraiment ravi de cet hôtel chambre confortable cadre agréable accueil chaleureux personnel serviable petit déjeuner copieux et varié bonne cuisine familiale. Hôtel à proximité de la plage du centre ville et ses rues piétonnes de la citadelle. Je recommande chaudement.

A little oasis in Roses.....
We found the hotel on hotels.com as we wanted to explore Roses. It is SMACK in the middle of town. Truly, we found some of the outlying beaches more to our liking, but the hotel itself is really a gem in the town. The staff, Martine in particular, is just delightful and helpful; the room comfortable, and the breakfast--delicious! (And I'm not even a breakfast person!) When we're back in the vicinity I think we'd consider the hotel again due to its level of comfort, and price truly could not be beat.

nous étions en voyage( noces de perles!)et l'hôtel correspondait complètement à nos attentes, tout était très bien( juste le balcon trop petit,peu exploitable, mais c'est un détail)un personnel agréable, souriant, particulièrement Martine, à laquelle nous avons eu à faire et qui parlait français, génial! les infos sur les visites et les restaurants, nous avons été enchantés. le petit déjeuner excellent la propreté des chambres également. personnellement j'ai apprécié les petits échantillons "occitane" fournis dans la salle de bain en plus le soleil nous a accompagnés durant ces 3 jours, "que demande le peuple"!

Une très bonne impression de cet hotel que je n'ai pu réserver 3 jours plus tard lors de mon retour de Barçelone car il était complet, un accueil très chaleureux et surtout a l'écoute de tout jusqu'à l'emplacement du parking... Chambre très propre et très agréablehotel que je recommande

Not sure why this is a 2 star.
Wonderful spot and far better than I expected. I am a 4 star minimum hotel snab and especially when I am going somewhere for work and need my rest. I upgraded my room and am glad I did so I could have my own patio, huge room and tons of light! The hotel staff are wonderful, very kind and accommodating. don't worry about the neighborhood, its safe and a very short walk to the beach. Breakfast was a huge spread and all around great value.

Excellente adresse
L'hôtel Carmen est une excellente adresse à un prix très raisonnable. Il est situé au centre de Rosas, au calme, en retrait du bord de mer, mais juste à côté quand même. Le petit-déjeuner est juste merveilleux (buffet avec en plus des plats chauds sur demande). L'accueil et les conseils pour les restaurants de la ville de Rosas se sont révélés excellents. Le tout pour un prix très abordable.

Nous avons séjourné pour le we de la Toussaint à cet hôtel avec ma fille de 8 ans. L'hôtel est très bien placé : la journée pour promener dans Rosas et le soir juste à côté des restaurants. L'hôtel est super : très calme, propre et bien décoré, le personnel aux petits soins. Attention si vous cherchez des animations, des loisirs pour les enfants ce n'est pas adapté.

Hotel muy tranquilo, mas bien pequeño.
El tamaño del hotel permitía transitar por las zonas comunes sin cruzarte con mucha gente, esto nos daba la sensación de estar en un sitio mas familiar, a esta sensación también contribuía la gran amabilidad y disposición del personal del hotel que contestaba todas las preguntas sobre itinerarios o lugares a visitar muy amablemente. La calle donde se ubica el hotel, es un poco estrecha y parar para descargar maletas y hacer el ingreso puede retener a otros vehículos produciendo cierta tensión, la calle no tiene demasiado tráfico y se puede calificar como tranquila.

Personnel très chaleureux parlant parfaitement le français, petit-déjeuner extrêmement bien garni à volonté avec du sucré-salé, parking gratuit à proximité, à deux pas de la plage, café et thé à volonté pendant toute la journée, bouteilles d'eau à disposition dans le frigo, je recommande !!

Excellent accueil, petit déjeuner trés trés copieux....Draps, oreillers, literie tout neuf. Que du bonheur!! Chambre impeccable, salle de bains idem, personnel parlant parfaitement français d'une gentillesse remarquable et...situé à 50 mètres de la plage. Restaurants de qualité sur l'avenue, pour tous les gôuts et toutes les bourses. Nous y retournerons volontiers.

The Hotel Carmen was convenient, easy to find (well marked on local street signs). The hotel had parking which is a big plus. The room was nice, with a little balcony, a mini fridge, in room wifi. The staff was incredibly friendly. It was a very nice stay.

El hotel es impecable, especialmente en cuanto a limpieza y trato de todo el personal. Los desayunos son estupendos también. El único pero que le pondría es el tamaño de la habitación y el cuarto de baño, demasiado pequeños. Por lo demás, totalmente recomendable.

J'ai bien aimé la situation de l'hôtel, proche de la mer et principaux centres d’intérêt. Le personnel attentionné qui nous ont recommandé de très bons restaurants dans les alentours. Tout le monde parle français. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et excellant avec du jus frais, fruits... Les chambres sont bien entretenues.
