Mooi Provençaals huis in de Luberon - verwarmd zwembad en grote tuinen.

La Bergerie Provençale ligt te midden van de dorpen, wijngaarden en boomgaarden in het beroemde Luberon nationale park van de Provence.

Oorspronkelijk een 200 jaar oude stenen ‘Bergerie’ of herdershuis, is het pand uitgebreid en gerenoveerd om een prachtige en luxe villa te creëren binnen een hectare omheinde privétuinen met een zeer groot verwarmd zwembad van 6x12 meter.

Benaderd langs een met bomen omzoomde oprijlaan, is het huis gelegen in het prachtige landschap van de Luberon en is het aan alle kanten omgeven door wijngaarden, landbouwgrond en bossen met een prachtig ononderbroken uitzicht op het dorp Roussillon, een van de veelgeprezen 'Les Plus Beaux Villages' in Frankrijk de France '.

Het huis ligt in het hart van de Luberon-vallei, op korte rijafstand van de meest beroemde 'hooggelegen' dorpjes, markten en restaurants, waaronder Gordes, Menerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux met het plaatselijke dorp Roussillon, op slechts 3 minuten rijden .

Het huis is ontworpen als een zeer comfortabel en stijlvol thuis weg van huis. Er zijn vier grote slaapkamers die uitkomen op het schaduwrijke terras met uitzicht op het zwembad. Twee van de slaapkamers hebben een eigen badkamer met bad en aparte douche. De derde en vierde slaapkamers delen een derde aparte badkamer met bad en douche.

Alle slaapkamers zijn voorzien van airconditioning voor uw comfort.

De keuken is goed uitgerust met vaatwasser, Amerikaanse koelkast met vriesvak, oven en magnetron. Een ruime aparte bijkeuken is uitgerust met een wasmachine en een droogruimte.

Het huis is van nature koel in de zomer en heeft vloerverwarming en een grote open haard in de woonkamer voor de koelere maanden.

De lounge heeft een grote lcd-televisie en dvd-speler met een breed scala aan satellietkanalen, waaronder alle Britse Freeview-kanalen, inclusief de kinderkanalen. Gasten zijn welkom om de iPod-compatibele sound dock en draadloos breedband internet te gebruiken.

Beddengoed, handdoeken en badlakens zijn inbegrepen, evenals een schoonmaakservice bij vertrek.

Buiten de tuinen uitbreiden tot een hectare met een mengsel van gazons, eikenbossen en boomgaard. Het verwarmde zwembad op het zuiden van 6x12m wordt bereikt door kronkelende stenen paden en is omgeven door een grasveld om te zonnebaden. Het zwembad is toegankelijk via een beveiligingspoort en is uitgerust met de nieuwste automatische afdekking om de veiligheid van uw gezin te garanderen.

Ligstoelen zijn aanwezig, evenals een royale 3x3 meter buiten L-vormige bank om te ontspannen bij het zwembad. Direct naast het terras bij het zwembad ligt de buitenkeuken, deze is uitgerust met een grote BBQ. Een ander volledig gescheiden buiten eetgedeelte bevindt zich in een bos van eiken onder een met wijnranken begroeide pergola.

Mooi huis

Het huis had veel charme en een mooie tuin. Echter was het niet netjes, in de oven lagen nog kruimels en vettig. Het werkblad eveneens vettig te zien aan de keukenrol die er stond de BBQ was niet gereinigd alsook het poolhuis waar meedere spinnewebben hingen. Spijtig want het huis heeft veel potentieel.

Lovely house

We stayed here one week with family and our one year old daughter. We were the first guests after the lockdown so there were some teething problems but the house itself is amazing. The layout it is perfect for families, you stay in one house but everyone has their own space/bathroom etc. Garden/pool is wonderful.We loved it.

de woning in een prachtige omgeving, met mooi onderhouden tuin, een zeer vriendelijke en bereikbare concierge, nette keuken en badkamers, zorgde ervoor dat we een zorgeloze week in de Luberon konden doorbrengen. ideaal om met de ganse familie rustig te genieten van het mooie weer bij het zwembad en de lavendel!

Great location and fantastic house.

We stayed at La Bergerie Provencale in May. The weather was perfect and the heated pool saw a great deal of use! The house is situated down a long private road and is very private and secluded. We visited many villages in the Luberon and took day trips to Aix en Provence and Avignon. I would highly recommend this house as we had a great stay!

Amazing holiday!

A beautiful villa in a stunning area!

My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay at La Bergerie. The heated pool is huge and kept the kids occupied for hours and hours. My parents walked to the local vineyard for wine tasting, my husband dozed in the hammock and I did absolutely nothing reading by the pool! The gardens are huge and the younger kids played happily in the playground before playing hide and seek in the trees! We were spoilt for choice for dinner, the closest restaurant in Joucas had a stunning view and lots of lovely restaurants in both Gordes and Roussillion. After exhausting days doing nothing we were grateful for comfy beds and air conditioning!

We had a fantastic stay in this house. The house was a good size, nice decor, good air con and good Wi-Fi. The gardens & grounds were huge - lots to explore for all ages and the pool was out of this world. Big enough to hold family races! Highly recommended - loved every moment of it.

A wonderful holiday

My family and I (grand parents, parents & children) recently stayed at The Bergerie and had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable with large bedrooms, comfortable large beds and air conditioning. There are two master bedrooms with large en-suites, and two further bedrooms with their own bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with both an internal and external seating area. The lounge has comfortable seating, a modern TV with Netflix etc and a Wi-Fi with speed fast enough to satisfy a very fussy teenager. The house is fantastic but it’s the outside area that makes this house special. The pool is very large and heated so it felt like swimming in bath water! It is surrounded by lawn and gardens large enough for evening football and rounders games. The house is surrounded by vineyards so it is very quiet and private but close enough to civilisation that my daughter walked to the horse riding stable at end of the lane and hacked past the house. We also discovered a neighbouring vineyard that hosts wine tasting sessions and a Michelin starred restaurant in the next village along (an easy cycle). We loved this house, it was very relaxing and peaceful but there was still plenty for all of us to do. We have already decided to do a return trip next year.

Wonderful Summer Getaway at Bergerie Provencale

I had the pleasure of staying at Bergerie Provencale this summer and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and welcoming. The level of flexibility shown during check-in was impressive, making us feel at ease right from the beginning. Nestled in a serene and tranquil environment, the property's calm ambiance provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Its strategic location near the region's key tourist spots was a huge advantage. The villa's design left us in awe. It was also equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. The refreshing coolness of the house was especially appreciated during the warm summer days. Of course, the highlight of our stay was the magnificent pool. Its sheer size was truly impressive, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment. The joy of spending lazy afternoons by the poolside with loved ones is a memory I will cherish. While our stay was overwhelmingly positive, there are a few areas that could be enhanced. The quality of the bedding could be improved to match the overall luxury experience of the villa. Additionally, the presence of a pool cleaning robot would ensure that the pool remains pristine throughout the stay. Lastly, a more comfortable arrangement in the pool house would elevate the overall comfort level of the outdoor space. The positives far outweigh any minor shortcomings. I can't wait to return and relive the magic of this remarkable villa.

Ehemaliges Bauernhaus in schöner Umgebung

Wir haben das Haus eine Woche im Sommer genutzt. Die Lage, die Umgebung und der große Pool sind sehr schön. Leider ist vor unserer Ankunft der Außenbereich nicht gereinigt worden, die Reinigung des Pools erfolgte auch leider erst kurz vor unserer Abreise. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist einfach, z.T. macht sich ein gewisser Renovierungsstau bemerkbar.

Wunderbares Haus in traumhafter Umgebung

Das großzügige, geschmackvoll möblierte Haus mit einem großen, beheizten Pool und sehr schönen Außenanlagen ließ wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Die Kommunikation mit Vermieter und Betreuer vor Ort war problemlos und der Aufenthalt in jeder Hinsicht gelungen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Beautiful bergerie in Provence

The house, its decorations and outside area are lovely. It’s the classic Provençal stone/stucco house in a very private setting, with a large yard, play area for children, boules court and swimming pool with pool house. Our only problem was being so far from Roussillon or any other village that we always had to drive if we wanted to eat in a restaurant or shop. If you want peace and quiet and want to “park” yourself in a great place, this is the house for you!

Semaine très agréable au cœur du Lubéron.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Christian qui nous a donné quelques indications sur la gestion de la maison. La maison en tant que tel est très joliment décorée, super bien située (au grand calme) entre Joucas et Roussillon. Très facile pour les balades, visites et autres. A quelques km d’Apt ou Coustellet pour les courses alimentaires. La piscine est très agréable et de bonne taille. A recommander vivement! Les points à améliorer sont les suivants: - le Wifi qui est super lent (pas très bien vu par les ados & co) - le matériel de cuisine est trop sommaire pour quelqu’un qui aime un peu cuisiner.... ce qui est mon cas (pas de presse agrumes, pas de mixeur/batteur,...)

Beautiful house in the heart of the Luberon

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here at La Bergerie. It's a beautiful house which looks every bit as good in the flesh as it does in the photos. What the photos and description can't get across truly is the scale of the garden and grounds, which is fantastic, and allows a view across to Roussillon (just over a mile away). We made very good use of the pool, which is large enough for a proper swim and beautifully set with just the right amount of landscaping for a bit of shade in the hot afternoons (it was hitting 35° C+ each day we were there). Inside, the four bedrooms are well set apart. The master suite in its own wing, another en suite bedroom upstairs, and two bedrooms sharing an en suite, which is great for families. Would recommend the bigger markets at L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Loumarin particularly (worth the drives). Almost every village nearby is picture postcard beautiful; Gordes a little touristy, but Roussillon lovely for a gentle potter and a nice glass of something cold watching a performance in the town square. Would love to return.

Beautiful Villa but beware of the dog

We stayed here in June 2019. The villa is beautiful as is the pool and gardens. The villa is very spacious and all bedrooms are clean and good room available. It is well equipped with modern appliances and air conditioning. Good supply of towels, bedding and tableware. I would say that you do need a car for staying here. The nearest main town is Roussillon and takes over 1/2 hour to walk to and in the summer months can be too hot during the day. The pool is heated so lovely for a early morning dip or staying in all day! Only word of caution I would have is around the experience we had of a neighbour’s dog. My husband and I were nearly attacked when a Rottweiler mixed breed dog jumped out of its owners hedge and went for us. It was a pretty frightening experience and had we not backed away and the owner come out and call the dog off I do think it would have attacked us. A few nights later the dog came into our garden. There were two main issues here, one we were unable to walk outside of the property to the main road for fear of the dog coming out again and the potential for it coming into our garden. We had a 10 year old child with us and it was a concern for her and our safety. We have reported this to the owner and house manager who advised that it has been reported to the local authority. I am not sure how effective this will be in ensuring the owner of the dog controls its movements. This in it’s self is not a reason not to book the villa, but maybe to seek assurances from the Villa’s owners as to what measures are being taken to support guests safety.

Beautiful house in a beautiful area!

The house is perfectly located in the centre of Provence and we loved it! We are a family with two small children and found the house perfect for our needs and very safe. The house is at the end of a private lane with no neighbours making it extremely quiet and perfect for out kids to cycle up and down. We loved going each day to get fresh bread at the local bakeries and enjoyed a walk up to Joucas for lunch. Cannot wait to return and have already booked for next year.

After a mammoth journey where lack of sleep the previous week led to matchstick propped eyelids that required 2 hourly Autoroute espresso top up's to keep the show on the road in one piece, we finally got within a few kilometres of La Bergerie Provencal. Our tired hearts soared when we saw the landscape of hills, red sand and pines lit by the orange early evening sun. The beautiful hilltop town of Gordes passed by and we descended with Roussillon in our sights.....then we got lost. No matter, spirits were high as we doubtfully drove into a small lane that after a few houses seemed to go nowhere. Just a bit further and ready to do a U-TURN the kids shouted 'thats it!'. Thank God...we crunched up the drive beyond the gates with relief, and knew we'd made a good choice before we'd set a foot on the ground.... Simple, stylish and traditional décor in the house makes you feel at home immediately. Each bedroom has its own character, lovely ensuite bathrooms and comfy linen.. Cosy lounge, lovely sofa's and DVD's for when your 14yrold Netflix Junkie son needs some screen time, although with a pool and garden as lovely as La Bergerie's, even he didn't feel the need for three days straight! More than enough towels, crockery, cooking equipment etc...nice filter coffee machine and big fridge with water filter and ice dispenser to keep your Rosé chilled...Even a BBQ Nitwit like me managed a fine steak or two on the gas burner that sits out on the terrace...best holiday we've had in years. If only we could have turned down the volume of the Cicadas, Jeez! Thanks Neil and Mel.. The Parsons...(Family, not vicars)
